  • Nice Place for Xmas

"We stayed at TV the week between Xmas and New Years and had a very good experience. The house is lovely, in great shape and has a nice setting overlooking the Atlantic side of the island. Kris, the booking agent, was quite helpful with the advance process including suggestions for restaurants and attractions and she is very responsive (a big deal with me). The house always has a breeze which keeps mosquitoes away and cools the main living areas which are not air conditioned. The bedrooms all have A/C and are perfect at night if you need to be cool. There are fans throughout the house and that helps as well. Temps were not too high while we were there, so it might be a problem in the high season, but again, the trade winds always blow. The house is well appointed and the kitchen is quite up-to-date. The one negative is the road (about 200-300 yards) that leads to the house from the Cap Estate main road. It is in horrible shape and really not negotiable without a SUV. We were told this, so it was not a surprise and have driven these kind of roads on other islands, but it detracts from the area. The owners in the area should do something about it as it is not a government maintained road. Overall, we had a very nice time and experience at TV."

  • Clean roomy apartment!

"The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The location was not what we were looking for, it is quite a walk to restaurants, shopping, the bus, etc. Miami Beach is within walking distance but you do have to walk along a busy road for a bit. You can surf very close to the apartment, we do not surf but our neighbors went out almost everyday, within walking distance. Una, the owner, is very nice."

  • D & M

"We have stayed in many different apartments all over Barbados but we must say Valersk Apartments is up there with the best. From our arrival where we were met by the lovely Queen of the manor Valencia, our apartment was a home away from home. We wanted for nothing and Valencia went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we made. We stayed for 3 weeks and although I have lived in Barbados for many years before returning to England this was my first trip back with my daughter and I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we both have ever had. The apartment was comfortable, clean and refreshing and we have grown attached to it we didn't want to leave and if we could have folded it up and put it in our suitcases trust me we would have . It was truly our home everything was within an easy distance so much so that thoughts of renting a car soon went out of our heads. We took a lovely stroll to silver sands beach to watch the sun rise and ended up walking for 2 hours seeing many sights, monkeys and various sights such as the lighthouse along the way at one point we thought we may have been lost but once we asked a question we realised we were only one road away from 'home'. Miami beach is a short ten to fifteen minute walk away depending on how fast you walk and you will see many of the older generation out for their early morning run greeting you as they pass. Oistins is a short distance with the route taxi which is all part of the experience , stopping at the top of the gap and if you are lucky they may just drive down the gap and come and pick you up . There are a couple of shops down the road in case you need a sprite to put in your rum and to our delight a couple of houses away is a Friday fish fry and karaoke on a Saturday night if you have no energy to go too far. Valencia is a diamond we 've adopted her as one of the family and are sitting here as I type planning our next visit which will be very soon. Although Valencia will check in to see if you are okay or if you need anything she isn't intrusive and we looked forward to seeing her . We would recommend you stay here , you have the privacy , the lovely view and cool air conditioned rooms . The kitchen is a nice size with all modern utilities , there is a laundry room, and a good sized parking area for your visitors. We felt like celebrities in a five star hotel SEE YOU SOON ..."

  • Relaxing and peaceful property

"We were here March 2016. Group of 4 adults. 1st time not using an all inclusive resort. Large 2 bedroom + loft unit. Very spacious, clean, and unbelievably quiet. We couldn't believe how the only sounds we heard were the waves of the ocean. View from 2nd floor balcony was beautiful. Even though there is a parking lot in between the condo and the beach, you can't see it through the landscaping and it isn't used at night. The view from the bedrooms balconies were of the mountains and the surrounding village. All of us thought the beds were incredible! Clean. The unit had all we needed and the manager Julie answered all our questions quickly and effectively. We asked for a BBQ and she got one. The loft would only be good for children as it is open concept into the living room / kitchen area so sleeping in the a.m. would be difficult if that was a need. We had a cleaning lady come in once and she did a great job. We wish we had more towels in between the once visit. There is a washing machine but we didn't end up using it. Parking included. Building is very safe and is locked on all sides. We wish we had been given 4 keys instead of 2 as difficult when we were going back and forth to the beach at different times but not a huge deal. The pool is small and walled in without a view. You would never use it during the day as there is no wind and the area gets very hot. We used it at the end of the day for a cool off. The beach is beautiful (with the exception of some minor seaweed but we know that this is common throughout most if not all the Caribbean right now). It's in a relatively quiet area of the Orient Beach scene but a close walk if you need more action and about 15 minute walk to the nude beach (which is calmer as its in a bay). We weren't happy with the service at Waikiki Beach which provided the chairs/umbrellas as part of the condo deal. They NEVER came and asked us for service (drinks or food). They would only serve the customers of Waikiki and we weren't allowed to sit in the more comfortable chairs. They would take the umbrellas away at 3:30/4:00 if the cruise customers had left as they wanted to go home. The bathrooms at Waikiki were gross!!!! We saw staff using the chair sheds to have sex with tourists! Thank goodness we were a short walk to our condo. Night life is quiet. A short walk to the Village - pricey but good. They take US dollars at par at most places which was good for us instead of Euro. Highly recommend Princess Eden unit!"
