  • A fabulous property in Antigua, Amanda Neal terrific Host/Owner

"My wife and two boys 12 and 15 stayed at Villa Azura for a week in the off season, (June 2016). This property is positioned north on a peninsula tip facing Long Bay. This is the windward side of the island and there is a constant breeze from the East. This differs greatly from the leeward side of the island which we dont like. The wind and the constant crashing of the waves is comfortable and soothing. The view is unobstructed ocean with waves. The home is fabulous. Adobe design, simple, and well laid out. It is well maintained and we had no maintenance troubles. There is a gardener/handyman to help with any problem if it were to arise and when there was a storm with a power outage, he phoned to make sure the generator had started properly. It had and I didn't even know the power had gone out! Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom with a really cool private outdoor garden shower. Each bedroom has perfect ocean views. We spent most of our time on the deck surrounding the pool. There is a covered patio portion with seating and a usual uncovered pool deck with loungers. The dining area is outdoors in the covered patio portion facing a manicured and landscaped garden that is beautiful. The house is not airconditioned but the beds are. My pet peeve in the caribbean is cool dry sleeping after a long hot wet and sticky day. I was unfamiliar with these beds prior to our trip but they work great. They allow you to have a cool air conditioned breeze on you while having all the doors and windows open to the sounds. The breeze through the open house during the day kept it unusually cool and comfortable, no need for anything else. The housekeeper Mitzie came daily to tidy up, make the beds and washed and folded our daily laundry. She was terrific. One highlight our luxurious living at Azura was having Norma take care of our food needs. She works at a local Private Club (mill reef club) usually but was able to take care of us as well in the off season. She provisioned the house prior to our arrival. She came around 7:30AM, cooked breakfast, cleaned up, discussed dinner plans and menu choices then returned at 6:30PM to cook, serve and clean up. Fare was usual caribbean, seafood, chicken, and local. My wife's menu was vegetarian and perfect for her. Activities: Indigo Divers, Cool Cat for private day sail, snorkel and lunch, Antigua rainforest zip line. Car rental a must: TiTi in english harbor has good vehicles. Overall spectacular stay"

  • Beautiful escape and this place was incredible

"The property is beautiful with tastefully orchestrated details decorating the walls. The owners are also on top of their game. They are very responsive and were willing to help when we had a question. This place literally had everything you'll need and even things that you didnt think you needed until you came across it. They even had a wireless jambox player for the beach! The place is well located up the street from the ferry port and is located on top of a hill with great views. Vieques was a great time and the beaches are second to none. Come here and stay at this place and you wont regret it for a second. Thanks for the great time !!"

  • Amazing property outside of the tourist areas

"Just returned from 6 days at this wonderful property and wishing we were still there! The house and apartment were clean and beautifully decorated. The setup was especially great for us as two couples traveling together. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedrooms appreciated. The gazebo and hammocks were our favorite places to hang out. We took a day trip to El Yunque Nat'l Park to see the rainforest, the Kiosks in Luquillo for amazing Puerto Rican food and to Cabo San Lunas for a Bio Bay kayak trip. Also took a day to visit The Pork Highway in Cayey for AMAZING roast hog. There is so much to do on this end of the island there's no way to fit everything in! You really do need water shoes here...the beach is filled with rocks and coral. Found lots of beautiful shells and sea glass. There were quite a few sea urchins but they were fairly easy to spot when you were walking in the shallows. There isn't really a good area to swim but the snorkeling is fantastic! Even saw two lobster hanging out in the rocks 😀 The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances but only salt was provided as a pantry item. You may need to stock up on spices and basics. There are grocery stores and a walmart not far away. We had such a fantastic time here and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for an out of the way adventure! Wish there was a way to share pictures on here!! Mary, Brian, Todd and Kerri"

  • Beautiful views from every room! This was the perfect Rental choice!

"I must say that we definitely were pleased with every aspect of this rental property. Beds are comfortable, decor appeasing and location fantastic! Well stocked kitchen and a view from every room, especially the balcony. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. One thing I would suggest is better lighting in the bathroom .And that's a simple fix ! Loved it!"
