  • Ideal setting

"My husband and I stayed at Cinnamon Day Dreams for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the house. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, but thankfully we didn't use the kitchen except to make coffee. St. John has so many great restaurants, and because of it's great location we went to Cruz Bay and Coral Bay for dinner every night. We did bring in dinner from Sam and Jack's Deli after a spending the day on Jost Van Dyke. Just watched HGTV's Island Life last night and the show was about ST. John, the couple buying property turned out to be Sam and Jack! Back to the house, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub everyday, so nice to have the float. Didn't really use the living area because we spent our time outside on the porch or by the pool. Great view of Tortola! Master bedroom is very spacious with lots of closet space. Bed very comfy. Master bath very nice. The guest room is very nice as well and the bath. So nice to have 2 windows in the shower. We appreciated the fact that part of the road is being paved, makes getting to the North shore beaches so much easier. Thank you, Michelle and Frank for sharing your lovely island home! Lynette"

  • Treetop Retreat

"We were so happy we chose Sonnenskuss for our stay on St John. This being our forth visit to the island, we use to do Maho and Concordia, we wanted to be close to town. This is the perfect one bedroom very comfortable open air apartment. The views from the deck in the morning over coffee and in the evening for sunset are spectacular, even saw some beautiful rainbows on the rainy days. Gary is so accommodating, from the flowers in the coconut shell in the morning to having a beautiful water fall piece in a beautiful lush green sanctuary area (only needs a small seat so you can enjoy the area and your coffee) Even though we rented a car for the ten days we enjoyed being able to walk to town each evening, have dinner and drinks and work off some of those calories on the hill back up to the room. We chose to have our breakfast's and lunches in the apartment or when we were out hiking or on the beaches and went to town for dinners so we did not do a lot of cooking. It was also wonderful to spend a little time upstairs talking to Charlotte, what a wonderful lady! You can't go wrong if you are a looking quiet room with a great view, just don't tell too many people, we look forward to returning again."

  • Everything you could want, and more!

"We had a wonderful experience at this villa! It really was everything we were looking for and we would return and recommend it to anyone. It’s in a quiet location on a dead-end street but yet is still easily accessible to everything St. Barths has to offer. The house and deck are very private so we felt very comfortable day and night. The deck and house have wonderful views and gets sun from early morning to about 6pm (in late March). Everything is nicely maintained and updated. In fact, the AC in our kid’s bedroom went out but Joe, the owner, had a brand new one replaced in just one day. And with the nice winds it wasn’t really missed. Here are some further observations: • Villa has AC only in the bedrooms. That was perfect for us as we wanted to feel the breeze and hear the waves in the main room but have AC for sleeping. • There is no clothing dryer but there is drying rack on the deck that worked great and the washing machine worked well. • The pool is approximately 6+ feet deep with no gradual drop off. So if you have very little kids it’s something to keep in mind as we couldn’t stand in the pool. Again this worked well for us as our kids are 6-8 and are good swimmers and they loved to jump in the pool repeatedly and this depth allowed them to do that. But if you were planning to hold your kids the whole time while swimming that could be a challenge. The pool was well maintained. • We loved that there is a mini-mart and a couple of restaurants in walking distance as well as shell and swimming beach. (Not the best on the island but still fun to try). • One of the best bakeries on the island is only a 5 minute drive away • Parking was super easy at the villa. No vertical driveway to navigate. • There was plenty of hot water for showers • We appreciated that the house had screens to help keep out mosquitos and we also loved that it had blackout curtains in the bedrooms. • The kitchen is outfitted with only the basic tools and a limited supply of glasses, knifes, etc. It was fine just basic. • Owner Joe, was very nice to deal with in all matters. • Lastly, Joe required us to wire the full amount of the rental to him before we arrived. We were a little nervous doing that but you shouldn’t be. He is totally legit."
