  • “Excellent choice: Comfortable, Spacious, with Best Service”

"We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Las Galeras, Samana. The moment we entered the home off the street the first day, we felt like we were walking into an oasis of peace and beauty. It was my first visit to Las Galeras, so I really didn't know what to expect. The house is awesome! Beautifully decorated through out the house. Bedrooms were comfortable and the place felt like home. Just a couple of minutes from La Playita & Playa Grande, BEST location! The housekeeper and cook, Leonel was the best. Each breakfast & dinner we had for the 3 days were on point and very tasty.. Excellent cook! Every morning while I sat at the outdoor dinning area, a hummingbird came each and every day! I just can't say enough about this home. We will be back for sure!"

  • A Wonderful Place to Stay

"Came to Green Turtle Cay as a group of 3 elders and stayed here at Turtle Dreams. Mary Lowe (Property manager) met us at the Ferry dock and was wonderful in helping us get to the house and introducing us to the home's features. The house is just lovely... roomy and comfortable. We arrived on 12/24/16 and left on 1/3. We rented a golf cart and the drive to the house was an adventure... The roads at the South end of the island are fairly smooth, but the roads at the North end are very rough and bounced us around quite a bit - however, it was worth it. Arriving at the house felt like coming home. During our stay we had weather varying from calm sunny days to stormy high wind days - but the house is tight and the weather was no issue. The A/C and the heat both worked great and there are ceiling fans in every room to help with the humidity. I've gone on several vacations that were meant to be 'relaxing' and 'peaceful' and this was the first one that met that expectation.... plenty of room in the house for each of us to find a quiet place to read or relax. There are two decks - the upstairs one is fully screened and that blocks most of the wind (and it's usually windy) and has two tables and a bunch of very comfortable chairs. It's a great place to sit and read a book or just to look out at the Bay and daydream! The downstairs deck is open and usually I preferred that one, as I like a nice breeze - but it only has one chair (maybe because it's not protected). It's also where you go if you want to 'talk' to the local chickens that hang around. The stairs in the house are easy to negotiate - even for elders (we're 60's to 80). The stairs that lead to the viewing deck are a different matter - they were difficult for my brother and I (60's) and mom didn't even try (80)... they are perfectly safe - but steep and the steps are quite tall, so challenging - however, it's worth the climb because the view is gorgeous - Turn one way and you can see the ocean / sunrise - turn around and you can see the bay / sunset. We explored the island and New Plymouth. We did two excursions with Brendal's Dive Center and highly recommend them - they were the best fun we had on the island. The locals were all very friendly and helpful and we always felt safe. The only real 'downside' to the island was the No-see-ums - which were very bad this time and we all ended up with hundreds of bites and the stores had no Cortisone or Benadryl - so bring your own!!!"

  • Fabulous island getaway

"We had such a wonderful time. This house had everything we needed and the views are spectacular! We stayed with two families and the house is set up in two wings so it was perfect. Jack and Maria provided such helpful instructions prior to our arrival and during our stay including recommendations for where to go and what to do. It was an amazing time. I also reluctantly went to the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens and am so glad I did. It was amazing. Don't miss it."
