  • Private, huge, good view, nice pool

"Wau! The villa was huge, much bigger than we thought! And it was very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony/terrace upstairs was also very huge and very nice place to eat, chill out, enjoy the scenery, barbecue etc... There was mosquitos in the time of sun rise and sun set but no other times. We used only the upstairs apartment and pool deck, so we have no idea about the downstairs apartment. There was no stairs from upstairs to the pool deck, we needed always to go around the villa to get there. Pool deck was well big enough for the two of us and all the huge iguanas and parrots who visited us daily. Pool itself was great! The villa was in very quiet and private place. It was after all very easy to find and the owners pickup truck was perfect way to drive around the small island. Only thing bothering us was that we spent there 12 nights and there was no cleaning included in the middle, so the floors did get very dirty at least in the balcony. We highly recommend this place!"

  • Wonderful stay at Oceanscape!

"My husband and I have just returned from a perfect week at Oceanscape! Connie was quick to respond to my many questions and provided extensive information about the condo and island. Bonaire is not a "luxury" destination, but this condo was as nice or nicer than the photos, was clean and welcoming, and had everything that we needed. There are a few unusual things about island locations, and Bonaire in particular... petty crime is an issue, grocery shopping has improved since our last visit but is still pricey with limited selections, and awareness of conserving resources (electricity, water, etc.) is a real need. It was very hot the week we visited, so we were very grateful for the a/c in both the bedroom and living room! As Texans we are accustomed to central a/c running round the clock throughout our home for much of the summer, so choosing to cool either the bedroom or living room (per the requested limit of one a/c on at a time) was unusual and a bit inconvenient. The bathrooms also tended to stay uncomfortably warm. The famed trade winds did keep the balcony comfortable much of the morning and evening, but weren't sufficient the week we were there to keep the living room or bedroom comfortable except perhaps in the very early morning. All of that aside, it was a wonderful week and you can't find a more convenient location! Not only is it unbelievably easy to walk right across from the airport, but it is a quick drive into "town", to the southern dive sites, to Lac Bay, or even through town to the northern dive sites. The complex was quiet and felt safe. We enjoyed the fabulous views, and walked over to the adjacent beach to snorkel as well as to get dinner at the "Kite City" food truck (fantastic Wahoo wrap!). We used the Dive Friends Bonaire adjacent to the complex (as well as in 4 other locations on the island) and were very happy with their services. We also used the grill on the balcony and cooked several meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Connie even made sure that there was ground coffee already in the unit for our first morning since we arrived too late for a trip to the grocery store the first night. The other condos in the unit seemed to be occupied mostly by families or couples on vacation from either US or Holland, mostly quiet but friendly. You can be "downtown" in about 5 minutes or less, perfect for an evening trip to Gio's for gelato. All in all a great spot!"

  • Girls trip! Plenty of room for eight of us.

"We left the kids home and met at the Surf Club. It was spacious, modern, relaxing in our villa. We used the laundry every day so came home with clean clothes. Stopped at the market on the way to get snacks and drinks. We hung out on the beach after renting umbrellas and chairs from the nice local man with the hut on the left. Some days, stayed at the serenity pool with books. Other days, sat around the pool and participated in games and lounged in lazy river. There was a particularly rowdy group of kids that were there but someone must have said something because they calmed down by the third day. (Or maybe they left?) The location of the resort is great - we walked along the beach on the sidewalk which connects all the resorts. There are some restaurants and bars along they way, so always found a place to stop. One night, we came to a pier where they had live music. They taught us to Samba and we stayed til close. Great time! Going out the front of the resort, there is a nightlife area with vendors, restaurants and bars. It was still warm at night but the always present breeze cooled us off. Our favorite restaurant was Gianni's. Incredible Italian food and very friendly. We went to Senor Frogs and had a great time but be careful! The tip was already included in the price of the drinks and they tried to add it again. There were lots of excursions to be reserved on your own or with the assistance of the resort. Some of the girls went on a four wheeler tour and got to see most of the island. They loved it, but not my thing. Some went on a catamaran excursion and I went on a power boat tour. They included drinks and lunch. Glad I wore plenty of sunscreen because the rays reflecting off the water really burned some who were not careful with coverage. The boat stopped in the open water and we snorkeled. Clear water, beautiful fish. Would do it again. Next time, I want to bring the kids and go to DePalm island. It is an all inclusive place where for one price, you receive a ride to the island, water park, water sports, drinks, snacks, lunch, etc. It looks awesome. Our view was so nice - high floor, oceanside. We could see for miles and loved having morning coffee overlooking the water. Check in was easy and our room was ready at 4:00. Reserving was easy and our price was fair. Highly recommended!"

  • First trip to St. Maarten definitely not the last

"I give this a 5 star with mixed feelings. We'd like to keep it all to ourselves. Brian was excellent to work with. He responded very quickly to all my emails and questions. A pleasure to work with. Now about the condo. Excellent location, very easy to get to. The condo is as pictured, very clean, plenty of towels. Pretty much everything you need to enjoy a wonderful vacation. The washer and dryer were a big plus after a day at a beach washing the beach towels. Felt right at home in the condo. The pool area was very nice. Most of the time spent there we felt like it was our private pool. Great place to relax and get some sun. Now location. Like I said very easy to get to. We walked down to Maho beach several times. Seeing the planes come in is a must. Walked to center of Maho several nights and felt very safe. Street lights from condo all the way down the street. Mullet beach can be walked to or a very short drive with plenty of parking and a very beautiful beach. Another must go to. Rented a car and drove all over the island. Word of advice on driving pay attention. When they say set your watch to island time because its a slow and relaxed time that doesn't include driving. Everybody is in a hurry to get nowhere fast and motorcycles and scooters think the center line is for them so just pay attention and all will be good. Great food and plenty to do on this island. Rent this condo and you won't be disappointed. Thanks again Brian for a wonderful place to stay. Made for a great vacation."
