  • Simply the Best...

"My girlfriend and I just returned from Off the Reef. It was a glorious time! The view itself makes the price of a night worth it, even if it were twice the price. The pictures online DO NOT LIE! It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Allan and Carolyn have spared no expense to make this little bundle of paradise functional and fascinating. Bring a cooler and chairs if you want to, but you'll never need them. The only things we actually needed were our sunglasses and sunscreen. (And who doesn't bring those?) Be very specific with any car rental company you deal with. The roads in Eleuthera are terrible and there is no middle line on Queens Highway (except for spots in southern Eleuthera). If you drive on the right at home, request a car with left-hand operation. It's more than a little sketchy driving on both the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the car. Also, if you're adventurous (like us) you'll want to visit some of the other beaches that you'll undoubtedly read about. Make sure you have 4-wheel or All-Wheel Drive!!! Lighthouse Beach is a pretty place, but it's a tough road to get there and God-forbid if you get stuck in the sand or get a flat! I'd venture to say that heading down to The Market at Rock Sound and buying four days worth of groceries and dining at Tippy's and 1648 should suffice a couple for the week. Be prepared, though, groceries, food and drink are expensive on the island. Take your snorkel gear! I saw about 15 varieties of fish and a ray while just "off the reef". I only got out as far as the fourth rock formation and the sealife was amazing! If you feel the need to get some fresh conch for fritters/rangoon, I'd recommend heading down to Bannermantown past the turnoff to Lighthouse Beach. There are hundreds of tidepools with living sealife. We didn't take advantage of it, though. My gal detests killing things and I kind of agree. So, that's that! Off the Reef is the place to be on Eleuthera for a couple. Everything you need, nothing that you don't. Carolyn is great about correspondence, so messaging is almost instantaneous. We love her! Missing OTR already... Hope to be back some time soon!"

  • Exquisite & the envy of St. Lucia

"Don't forget your camera ! You will want to look at that view forever! Extremely special place and having travelled all over the world, there are also very special people in St Lucia. Beauty & smiles abounds in all directions. The property and house are stunning. If one appreciates historically designed homes for locations such as this, you will appreciate the house even more. Everything perfectly designed for comfort and maximum use of the views. The staff were amazing and the food equally as delightful. Having two hotels close by permitted us to also enjoy restaurants and the beach. Climb down the mountain side with Tiki to the private rock beach if you have the power or be lazy around the pool with a cold Piton beer!"

  • All we can say is WOW!

"All we can say is WOW! This has truly been the best vacation for all of us. Everything has been amazing. The staff is awesome and have spoiled us. Ms. Pansy - I can't even describe how wonderfully, amazing the meals have been. I think we are going to kidnap her. :-) Eric and Errol are such gentlemen and have made sure we didn't want for anything. Errol makes the best drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol). Ralston greeted the ladies with fresh flowers and a smile, every morning. He even gave the birthday girl a bouquet when he found out it was her birthday. Delano has taken us wherever we wanted to go, no matter the time, with no complaints and a smile. He is a great tour guide, as well. Ms. Yvonne made sure our rooms were clean, cool, linen pulled back and fresh cold water for bedtime. Pimento Hills is definitely on all of our books to frequently visit in the upcoming years with friends and family. What a fabulous villa! Thank you and many blessings"
