  • Amazing house to stay in Coral Bay. Halcyon Days is the BEST!

"I am writing this review on our last night at Halcyon Days as I sit on the wrap-around deck with the ocean breeze and the gorgeous view. We stayed from 3/5/2016 to 3/11/2016. This house is so incredibly fantastic! The owners, Bill and Lois, have set up a beautiful house that is perfect to stay in on St. Johns. The house has the most amazing deck with lounge chairs, tables and regular chairs. One of our favorite things to do is have a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the islands all while sitting in the front part of the deck. When we first walked in the house we were all just wowed with the atrium that greets you as you open the door. The owners have EVERYTHING you need for your beach time right in the atrium(chairs, fins, snorkel gear, toys). They have beach towels and anything think else you could possible need. We walked up the stairs and went into the main room. A huge kitchen with a view of Coral Bay greets you. The owners have thought of anything possible you could need to cook. The kitchen is fully stocked and very comfortable to find what you need in. We did cook many of our meals as it was cheaper than eating out. The couch and TV area has sliding doors that you can open while you are home to rest and relax and feel the breeze. Upstairs is a bathroom and then a master bedroom with the best shower I have ever seen or experiences. The upstairs master bathroom is stone and roomy with two sinks. There is another single bed up stairs and another bathroom (which is perfect if traveling with a little one). Downstairs are the three other bedrooms and another master bedroom, and two more bathrooms. They have great views and are perfect. Outside the house is great as well. We were able to pick limes right off of a tree! The area it is located in is so relaxing and quiet with just the breeze and sounds of the ocean. Thank you , Bill and Lois, for letting us rent you perfect house. This has given our family the experience of a lifetime and we are already talking about coming back! We had a difficult time leaving the house the first day here because we just wanted to be on the porch and relax. We talked to some people at Salt Pond Bay about where we were staying and they were so impressed with our comments they are going to look for Halcyon Days too! If you choose to rent from Bill and Lois, you are in for a vacation house of a lifetime. Thank you again, Amy"

  • Overwhelming!

"Our family visit to Antigua started with a great driver JR who had plenty of space for 8 of us and our bags. When he pulled up in front of Villa Sull Oceano, we were pleased to see our 2 - 4 seater golf carts in the driveway that we had ordered in advance. We were already impressed when we entered the penninsula this home is situated on, with a number of very pleasant check-point people along the way. Where JR parked for us to exit the van, the first glance through the rod iron gates almost took your breath away!! We could see right through the entrance all the way through the center living area through to the ocean that would become our private beach for the next week. Tamara was there to greet us and welcome us as well as acquaint us with this unbelievable home. We were toured through the bedrooms each beautifully appointed complete with individual ensuites. Each of our 4 couples staked claim to the suite they thought would best suit them. The last bedroom on the tour was the master bedroom that is beach front and pool side with two sets of sliding doors to either exposure with a patio overlooking the sea. The master ensuite has double sinks and double rain-head showers, a large bath, even a bidet in the reading room. Each bedroom had individual Air Conditioning units and fans as well as flat-screens even though watching anything on TV was the furthest from any of our minds. The kitchen is massive with dual pull out fridge drawers, a wine fridge, and another beer/drink/water fridge across from it as well as a large SS regular type fridge with water and ice features. 3 sinks including the long trough style bar sink, and dual dishwashers too. All beautifully appointed with granite and ceramic, and cupboards and drawers a'plenty, it was a lot of fun cooking and working in this kitchen, and Chef Wakefield who cooked for us one night had everything conceivable to work with. The large dining table outside was great in accommodating our entire family, and the other tables and bar area served well to keep us all very comfortable as we enjoyed the pool and the good number of chaise lounges. The beach, although public might as well have been our own private beach, visited by only a rare walker or jogger on the way by. Noreen was a remarkable housekeeper!! We will be back for sure to Jolly Harbour and if our group remains the same size, we will definitely come back to Villa Sull Oceano. Memorable, unforgettable, and highly recommended."

  • Bahamian Perfection

"My husband and I stayed at Crawl Bight for a week, and it was amazing. The house is perfect and really well thought out. The views are spectacular, the beach is secluded and gorgeous, and the house is true Bahamian. We have been to Guana many times and always enjoyed it, but this was the best rental we've stayed at yet. We will definitely be back. Golf cart is a must and part of the fun. Very casual on the Island. A lot more fresh produce at the grocery store as compared to previous years. The water was beautiful and refreshing. We rented a boat from Troy at Dive Guana for a few days, highly recommend this. The reefs are outstanding. The ferry from Marsh Harbor makes it easy to get to the Island, and is always dependable. We snorkled, body surfed, boated, beach combed, kayaked, toured the island, relaxed and much much more........The perfect stay!!!"
