  • Gorgeous ocean views

"The photographs don't do this property justice. Overlooking the sea, with a view of St. Bart's, everything was as advertised. We had a wonderful week in St. Maarten/St. Martin. Oyster Pond is located right on the border between the Dutch and French sides of the island, a 10-15 minute drive to Phillipsburg and a 20 minute drive from all the restaurants in Grand Case. We also enjoyed visiting the local creperie and enjoyed meals at Big Fish, Mr. Busby's, and Beau-Beau's. This condo is well-maintained and the owners appear to be conscientious and available. There is a current seaweed problem on the beaches found on the entire Atlantic side of the island (yes, even on Orient Beach), but hopefully that is temporary. There was ample parking on the property, even if you did occasionally have to park some distance from the unit due to high season volume. Overall, a wonderful experience; we hope to return some day."

  • Great Holiday Getaway

"Just save yourself some time looking further and book this property....it is perfect for a couple or a couple with small kids to get away from it all. This is well appointed cottage that is perched high upon a hill with commanding views of Oyster Pond and the ocean. The owners recently gave the bathrooms a full renovation and they are top notch. The terrace and garden with the plunge pool was a fantastic place to just hang out during the day or evening to just lounge soaking up the sun or watching the boats come and go in the harbor below. The neighborhood is secure, with gated access and security at the main road and a further second automatic gate on the drive way to the house. The location in general was secluded without being isolated. Oyster Pond is sort of off the beaten path for the throngs of holiday tourists and Cruise Ship folks, but it still has plenty of amenities. There are restaurant options right in Oyster Pond that range from pizza and beach bars to fine dining. There are also several stores to grocery shop or pick up things like sunscreen..etc. The Westin at Dawn Beach (bottom of the hill) had the nearest ATM and it dispensed only US Dollars. USD were universally accepted everywhere on the Island. We found it was common on the French side that USD were accepted at par with Euro (at least while we where there..which meant about a 10% discount if you used USD). As Oyster Pond is right on the French/Dutch border; Marigot, Grand Case, great beaches, as well as all the big Dutch side attractions are all just short drives away.(You will need a car if you rent here) If you're looking to go off island, Oyster Pond has Voyager Ferry service to St. Barths, Anguilla and Saba. All in all it was a great trip and we'd book this place again. You'll love it."

  • Paradise found!

"What a beautiful well kept villa! Very clean and tastefully decorated, and it really had everything you would need, in your home away from home! It was hard to decide if we should explore the island or stay and enjoy the magnificent view by the pool! We did manage do to a little of both! Everything was as promised and Deborah is wonderful to work with, She was always quick to respond from the beginning of the rental process to the end. The area is very nice so much beauty just driving around Oyster Pond. We loved feeding Iguanas at the bottom of the hill by the Westin, they live near a little pond there. The restaurants were all wonderful in that area with our favorite being Busby's by day & Daniels By the Sea in the evening. This is the same place but they change into a fantastic Italian restaurant in the evening. The view is gorgeous by day and evening and they have a wonderful breakfast! Mama's Pizza was a fun place to dine as well & Dinghy Dock! We watched the Cleveland Cavs win the 2016 NBA title at the Dinghy Dock, so if you want to watch a favorite sporting event that is the place! They have a make your own drink special and you really do make your own! We did visit Isle of Pinel and Anguilla, both were fantastic and we would recommend both! So much to do.. We wished we had more time. All of the beaches are wonderful but our favorites were Cupecoy and Nettle Bay. Mullet Bay is wonderful calm water to swim in as well. You have to take an afternoon to have drinks and lunch at the Sunset Bar and watch the planes come in at Maho Beach! If you are wondering where to stay, do not hesitate to stay at Villa Caribella! Everything was as promised and more and the Island of St. Maarten is fantastic! I will say the French side was incredible, St Martin!! Check out Rancho Del Sol, cozy, outdoor seating with a view and a wonderful menu & drinks! We loved our vacation and Villa Caribella!"

  • Just a great place.

"What can I say about this property on Palm Beach other than it was just what we wanted. The owner, Janet, is great to deal with. She will reply quickly and help you with information any way she can. The home has anything you need. Full kitchen, all rooms have AC, washer, beach toys, beach shoes, beach towels, boogie boards, parking for the car but if you don't want to rent a car, no problem because you are just walking distance to the Ritz and Marriott areas where you can walk to restaurants, shopping, bars, clubs, whatever you want to do in this beautiful island. We had dinner at two great restaurants, pricey but you get5 what you pay for and we loved them. Barefoot is one of them, this is fine dining but right on the beach, your table will be on the sand overlooking the water and the yachts that dock right there in the shore. We also went to Pinchos Bar Grill, near the cruise line area, this little gem is right on the water...you walk down a little pier that leads you into the restaurant. Be careful with items that fall down, as they can go through the cracks of the floor and bye, bye for ever... We took one whole day to explore Arikok National Park, where you find caves, the natural pool, they even have a little pond that has the fish that like to eat your cuticles. Google that and you will see that a pedicure with those fishes is EXPENSIVE and they have them, in a little pond that is in the main cave that has the indian drawings (it is the only cave that has the original drawings). You will see goats all over and donkeys all over because this island was used once for cattle farming or something of the sort. Let's talk about the people of Aruba, OMG, can they be any nicer? I am calling it the Canada of the south. lol If you need directions, just ask anyone, they are always happy to help and will lead you in the right direction. They all pretty much speak at least 3 to 4 languages... Dutch, English, Spanish and the main island language. It is such an amazing place and we can't wait to plan our next trip and rent Janet's home again. Thank you Janet, your place is amazing and we truly enjoyed our stay there. One happy house in One happy island."
