  • Better than expected!

"This is our second time to Nevis, but first time staying at the Coral Reef Villa. It's everything in the description and more. It's very open with a nice breeze and the view to the ocean is amazing. Just a short walk to the beach, which never seems to be crowded. We also enjoy having access to the beach restaurant and bar right next door at the Nisbet Plantation. Not the best place for small children, but perfect for adults. Jane Paul goes out of her way to make sure your vacation is as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!"

  • Picturesque and super relaxing!

"This home provides a fabulous view of Turtle Bay and Nevis from the back porch overlooking the pool. There is a wonderful breeze that flows through the porch - makes for great mornings watching the sun rise and evening meals 'al fresco.' It is on a private portion of the island, so no crowds or traffic - yet, there are several good restaurants within 5 minutes. We enjoyed the island activities and then returned to a peaceful home listening to the waves and birds. Added bonus, if you enjoy snorkeling and have your own gear, on the right side of Turtle Bay is a nice small reef (there are a couple others but they are further out). Finally, we rented a car from Dwayne Hector (the property manager) - he will meet you at the airport - the whole process is seamless and Dwayne is great to work with. The property owners (as well as the on island management) are very efficient and thorough and it was a pleasure to work with them!"

  • Million dollar view

"The villa was clean, well equipped, and had a million dollar view. It was beautifully furnished and the owner kindly left a welcome package in the fridge of grocery staples. The constant breeze was refreshing and we never had to turn on the AC. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful artwork painted by the owner. My 16 year old daughter enjoyed the hammock where she spent a great deal of time. There were beach chairs, beach towels, thick cotton bath towels, and the sheets smelled so fresh! We were somewhat disappointed that the little room adjacent to the master bedroom no longer had a bed and she had to use the pull out couch. The one problem for us was that a neighbor in the villa directly behind the master bedroom had a large dog that constantly barked--one morning it barked for an hour. The owner was responsive to my email and had the property management speak to the dog owner. This definitely helped. I did wear ear plugs for the remainder of our stay. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely stay here again. It's a beautiful property in a great location!"

  • Wish we could have stayed longer

"My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Lazy Turtle and agree with all the positives mentioned in earlier reviews - location, amenities, the efficiency of Jane and her team, comfort, and just the overall beauty of Nevis. We felt that this was one of the best houses we have rented, and we have rented a lot of cottages and villas over the years. Nisbet Beach was our favorite beach on the island because of its beauty, lack of many people and treasures to be found - shells, driftwood and sea glass. We tried a few of the restaurants on Nevis and all were good, although somewhat pricey. Our favorite was the Gin Trap with a fantastic bar area, fantastic views, and delicious food. I understand the house is on the market. If I was thinking about moving to Nevis, I would buy it in a heartbeat."
