  • Absolute piece of paradise

"This is a spectacular property and this unit is absolutely top notch. It has everything you could possibly need. The unit has plenty of room for everyone and the balcony was huge as well with two loungers and a table with four chairs for outdoor dining. You have unbelievably huge views and the breeze is so nice. The beach is literally steps away. The condo is well appointed with nice bedding, comfortable furniture, plenty of pillows and towels (including beach towels) and the TV gets more channels that I would ever imagine. The wifi worked just fine and never had any issues with it or the tv reception. The property is well kept and super clean. Since the property is gated it gives you a complete sense of safety with no worries at all. The town can get a bit busy but just come in the gate and you arrive at laid back paradise. The condo is within walking distance to all the beach bars, restaurants, bank, shopping and super market. The people are so friendly and helpful. You must try Bliss for dinner and Gordita's for lunch while you are here. I must say that Pam was extremely helpful getting this booked and setting me up with all the information I needed. I asked a ton of questions and she was so responsive and made everything so easy. She left nothing out. She even set me up with a taxi driver that was there for me whenever I needed to go anywhere. He, Francisco, is an absolute gem and can set up the most amazing private tours around Dominican. If you choose to visit, you will not be disappointed."

  • Wonderful place!!!

"We just got back from 12 days in St Lucia. We stayed at the Hermitage Cottage and had a fabulous time. The view and the place are spectacular. Not disappointed, this place is as described and pictured. We felt right at home and enjoyed every minute. Read all the reviews because if you are expecting air conditioning you will not have that. It might get a little warm but was not a problem. It is centrally located to the best part of the island and the beaches. We drove every where on the island and think this was the best! Thanks to all for a wonderful vacation."

  • Gumelemi Bluff is A Perfect Mix and More

"We couldn't have had a more perfect mix of beauty, privacy and access. The owners were very thoughtful concerning travelers needs and were available to answer any questions concerning the use of the house and navigating the island. It was so special to have the housekeeper who was wonderful and took care of any of our needs. The spacious comfort and nice accommodations of this home were a real luxury. Having the fun activities available - bocce, ping pong, a pool, relaxing poolside loungers, kayaks and paddle boards were a real bonus! All four couples were so greatful to have had such a wonderful place to stay and want to definitely return to Gumelemi Bluff!"

  • Peaceful Hansen Bay Retreat

"We have rented Camercon Cove for many years now, and would never consider another place. While not ostentatious in design or furnishings, the house works well and is comfortable, and for peace and quiet, and water access, you cannot beat the location. Life happens on the deck breakfast thru dinner and on into sunset and starscape, or on the beach. Not as sandy as the north shore beaches, but a very short walk, and the 1/4 mile beach is shared by only 5 properties, one still only an empty lot. Right next to Sloop Jones on the map, and walkable close to other uncrowded East End beaches. A regular parade of sail and power boats and kayaks anchor below the house: you can pay about $75 an person to hire a boat in Coral Bay for a "secluded snorkel" trip and they will bring you here to Pelican Rocks, which you can easily swim to from our beach. You need a bit of sang froid to drive the hills of the National Park from Coral Bay-- centerline road from Cruz Bay is just a warm up--but Coral Bay has all you need, and now has several quite fine places to eat. If you snorkel over the turtle grass toward Long Point in late afternoon, you have a good chace of seeing a Spotted Eagle Ray cruising under you, the single most graceful moving creature in the sea ( and air for that matter)."
