  • Perfect Escape to relax...

"Stayed 1/14/2017 to 1/21/2017 I am a Puerto Rican from New York and visit my family a few times a year for the last 40 years. I have rented in many places over the years and found Ricon Escape the most comfortable and relaxing. The house is a dream house with a fully equipped Kitchen (Very well equipped had a old school coffee collador) and a beautiful landscaped back yard and Pool with a confortable veranda where I spent much of my week drinking wine wine and grilling, It has both gas and charcoal grills.... a plus for me since I am a charcoal guy. The house is also well equipped with a Gas backup generator and water system, a must for me since I know my island Well :-)... The house is in a great area close to everything You need and many beaches,, the sunsets on the beach behind the house are amazing. You are very close to some of my favorite beaches On the Island,, for surfing domes beach in Ricon is for you, the light house is a beautiful spot overlooking it, For swimming and surfing Jobos beach in Isabella Is amazing, don't miss the man made bridge with the surf shooting over it. For swimming Crash Boat beach is perfect and scenic.... As a Foodie The food in the area is great The English Rose is great for breakfast, the Shipwrek bar is also good but the best seafood around is a few minutes away in Mayaquez, it's called Gonzalez Seafood (have been going there since a child) The seafood is as fresh as it gets and it's right on the water. (The decor could use an update but the great food makes up big time). Overall the best vacation I have had ever,,, You will love the house,, the property manager Robert was Great and very helpful, fixed a minor issue on the spot. He also was helpful in advising me since I am Retiring here soon, the owner was also very helpful. Your can not go wrong renting this property."

  • Perfect Views, Perfect Location

"From the first moment when we stepped inside the unit and saw the incredible view from the balcony, we loved staying at this condo. It was a perfect place for three ladies of a certain age to hang out, relax, read, plan expeditions, enjoy the pleasures of Ocean Park. And best of all, whatever we chose to do, we could start our day with coffee at the balcony table and end it with wine and conversation at the same table. Needless to say, all three of us have hundreds of sunrise and sunset photos featuring that priceless view of the beach and the city buildings beyond. The condo building itself was great: very clean and well kept and the grounds were lovely. People were friendly and we had many good conversations with the residents. The swimming pool was large and nice (if a bit cold in January), but our favorite spot was the beach in back of the building, where we could bring our chairs (provided in the unit) and read and dream and occasionally walk down the beach and dip our toes in the ocean. Wonderful! We chose not to rent a car, but used Uber (cheap and reliable) when we needed to go somewhere beyond walking distance. All three of us had spent time in San Juan before, so we didn't need to sightsee a lot - but of course, we had to go to favorite restaurants like Kasalta and Bagua and Agarrate Catalina (all needing a car to get to). Right in the neighborhood there were also great places to eat that we could walk to: Che's and Inka Chicken and El Conde Pizza and the extra-special brunch spot, Bistro Cafe. The condo is nicely decorated: full of light colors and well appointed. The kitchen is small but has everything we needed, including a washer and dryer that we used often. The smaller bedroom has two comfortable beds, but one of them is a low trundle, which would be fine for a child, but was a little challenging for a 70-something. I can't say enough about how helpful Ana was! When we needed anything at all, she was quick to respond. And she and I had a very pleasant correspondence after I'd made the reservation and before we arrived -- she always got back to me very quickly. I'd rent from her again in a minute!"

  • Great location and lots of room

"My family and I spent several weeks here this spring. This property is walking distance to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the entire island. It is also close to many other beaches to surf or snorkel or just play in the sand. The property and the huge deck have a great view of the ocean at sunset. The home is relatively clean and is very safe. It has three very nice size bedrooms and two very nice bathrooms. The kitchen is very big and pretty well equipped. I worked from here using the wifi with very few issues. The best part of this property is the location. It is close to everything, it is a 5 minute drive from everywhere in Rincon. The bad about this location is the patio furniture is barely usable which is too bad because the deck out front is gorgeous. The deck has several boards that need to be replaced, on the humid days they pop up four to six inches. The grill that they supply is a very small picnic grill. Also the shower in the master bath doesn't really work the pressure is very low and the hot water doesn't work at all in this shower. I would definitely stay here again and I enjoyed my time in Rincon and for a family or group this location is ideal!"
