  • Small but comfortable

"Emmanuele and her mother were very helpful. The unit is small but very convenient to many restaurants, the beach and buses to get to San Juan Viejo. Even though it is on the 11th floor, the street noise--especially early in the morning--was much louder than we expected. The Security guards were all very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in San Juan. We rented a car at the Marriott down the street for one day to drive to the rain forest. The rest of the time we used the bus. It was a great stay and nice to get out of the cold January weather at home."

  • Incredible stay with our 5 children!

"We were so excited for our first trip to PR and boy, am I glad we decided to stay at Dennis' beautiful villa! The villa itself is everything you would imagine it to be - clean, spacious with a beautiful and peaceful view from the balcony. Dennis was as everyone has said -- gracious, helpful and attentive. We have 5 children, so we needed advice about grocery stores, places to eat etc. and Dennis always replied immediately. The beds were incredibly comfortable (I LOVED the linens), which was great as I suffer with an achy back. Both the master and one of the other bedrooms also has a TV, which the kids appreciated after a long day at the beach or rainforest. The VIP passes were wonderful and we spent a lot of time at the hotel amenities. Be warned though, the security there is very tight, so be sure to bring your passes, a picture ID and Dennis' phone number just in case. After you get to the hotel, you'll need to go to the towel hut where they will give you a bracelet for the week. Piece of cake once you have it! The hotel has 4 pools and 3 massive hot tubs (the kids loved those, too!) Also, don't miss the rainforest and check out Carabali Rainforest tours if you can! The horseback riding was amazing! Also, be sure to access the villa at least a few times from the main gate as the views are breathtaking! If you have a car, check out Mi Vida cafe just across route 3 in Palmer (5 mins away) It's delicious and affordable! SO if you're considering a villa in Rio Mar, look no further! It's close to everything and still in a beautiful relaxed and quiet spot. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Thank you, Dennis!"

  • Clean and Pretty

"I picked this location because of its appearance and the short distance to the beach. I had been to Puerto Rico before, so I knew what things I wanted to see and do. Getting around town without a car wasn't hard because of the buses (75 cents) and taxis at reasonable rates. I also did some walking as the grocery store wasn't too far away. The owner of the property had several places he recommended. By the way, transportation to and from the airport was provided. The bedrooms were kept cool by ceiling fans and small air conditioners in each one. No air conditioning in the kitchen area, but there was a ceiling fan. I absolutely loved all of the handmade tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. Very artistic. Everyone around the area was friendly and I felt safe, happy, and very relaxed. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit San Juan."

  • Spectacular Views!!!!

"The panoramic view from the apartment is spectacular. The property was clean and even though the decor can use a little face lift we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The only issue was that we couldn't use the small pool, which is closer to the apartment, since it is now reserved for tenants. The big pool is close to the complex entrance near the tennis and basketball courts. It is true that the beach is not for swimming but my teenagers liked it and it was perfect for boogie board wave riding. We know the local beaches and are experienced swimmers so for us it was great but you may want to be careful specially with young kids. We loved our walks on the beach to the light house, and through the coastal forest on the Natural Reserve Punta Tuna right across the street from the complex. We visited several restaurants that Marina recommended and they were very good. We liked to play tennis and the court was always available for us. The light house, which can be seen from every balcony is only a 5 minute drive from the complex, it's worth visiting as a day trip, the views are amazing. In summary, we had a great time and we recommend this place to anyone that loves amazing views, love nature, enjoys walks, or just want a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze."
