  • Rincon Escape is magnificent!!!!

"Rincon Escape was my plan for a perfect get together with family from different parts of the U.S. in order to celebrate my recent retirement after 40 years of teaching. The trip was all I imagined and more!! The property is amazing and comfortably accommodated our party of 9. The owners and property manager couldn't have been more kind. Rincon is a beautiful spot filled with wonderful views, food and people. We discovered a new place to dine every night and were provided with excellent recommendations from the owners and Robert, the property manager. We took two trips ; to the falls in San Sebastián and to the Bioluminescent Mangroves in Paraguez! Both were incredible!! It was an overall unforgettable experience and well worth the money. I would definitely return to Rincon Escape!!! Nancy Morton/ 6/25 - 6/30/16"

  • Perfect Spot for Relaxing

"The inviting photo of rocking chairs on the condo balcony persuaded us to choose this particular unit in Rincon -- and we never regretted our decision for a minute! As others have remarked, its location is perfect: across the street from the lovely public beach with gentle waves and unparalleled sunsets, within walking distance of excellent restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops in the downtown area, with easy driving to the beautiful but more intimidating "surfer" beaches and also not far from the grocery store and farmers' markets. We could swim every morning at the public beach and then often explored by car in the afternoons -- to other beaches, to the nearby small city of Mayaguez, to the mountains to the east. The condo unit was clean, comfortable, a great place to come home to after active days in the sun. It was a very good fit for us. We loved having a washer and dryer right there in the unit (great for drying beach towels) and the eat-in kitchen and the comfortable sofas and -- of course - the rocking chairs! We particularly enjoyed spending time on that west-facing balcony, overlooking the street and the park beyond, watching the schoolchildren and fishermen and joggers in the morning, the cars and bicycles in the afternoon -- and on Saturday night watching the horseback riders go past and listening to music and singing from the park. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact when we had a question or an issue. We three "older" folks had some initial problems working the television set and he was more than patient with us! And when the swimming pool equipment was making an ominous noise, he contacted a person onsite immediately and the problem was solved. We would definitely like to come back and stay here again -- it was the perfect place to escape winter!"

  • Incredible stay with our 5 children!

"We were so excited for our first trip to PR and boy, am I glad we decided to stay at Dennis' beautiful villa! The villa itself is everything you would imagine it to be - clean, spacious with a beautiful and peaceful view from the balcony. Dennis was as everyone has said -- gracious, helpful and attentive. We have 5 children, so we needed advice about grocery stores, places to eat etc. and Dennis always replied immediately. The beds were incredibly comfortable (I LOVED the linens), which was great as I suffer with an achy back. Both the master and one of the other bedrooms also has a TV, which the kids appreciated after a long day at the beach or rainforest. The VIP passes were wonderful and we spent a lot of time at the hotel amenities. Be warned though, the security there is very tight, so be sure to bring your passes, a picture ID and Dennis' phone number just in case. After you get to the hotel, you'll need to go to the towel hut where they will give you a bracelet for the week. Piece of cake once you have it! The hotel has 4 pools and 3 massive hot tubs (the kids loved those, too!) Also, don't miss the rainforest and check out Carabali Rainforest tours if you can! The horseback riding was amazing! Also, be sure to access the villa at least a few times from the main gate as the views are breathtaking! If you have a car, check out Mi Vida cafe just across route 3 in Palmer (5 mins away) It's delicious and affordable! SO if you're considering a villa in Rio Mar, look no further! It's close to everything and still in a beautiful relaxed and quiet spot. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Thank you, Dennis!"

  • Wonder Villa on West Coast of PR!! Amazing Trip!!

"This Villa is absolutely gorgeous. It was super clean, well maintained, private, and secure. The villa was nice and big with a open layout. It was nicely decorated with very comfortable bedding. It is definitely located in the mountain so if you like mountains this is the place for you !! We arrived at night so we did not get to see the amazing views upon arrival. When we awoke the next morning and walked out onto the veranda we couldn't believe our eyes! Honestly, it was so beautiful I actually cried. I said OMG THE VIEW!! We have NEVER witnessed a sunset look the way it did in Rincon. I would suggest driving into Rincon during daylight hours as the area does not have many street names, signs and/or building #s (addresses). GPS was helpful at times but also was not as accurate as we needed it to be. When we did need help (after getting lost our first day) Jim dropped everything to come and assist us by allowing us to follow him back up the mountain to the villa. It may take a few days to get used to driving the mountain roads which are very narrow and winding. You can tell who is a seasoned driver in PR. =) Late night eating was hard to come by so we suggest eating early dinners. The beaches and site seeing along the West coast of Puerto Rico are unlike anything I've ever experienced. We will be returning. Maria and Jim were very helpful and readily available to answer any questions we had. Thank You for a wonderful vacation!! Happy New year to ALL!!"
