  • Great overall stay!

"We had a great family vacation here after Christmas 2016 into the 2017 New Year. The overall Dorado property is a really special place (former Rockefeller estate and nature preserve that the Ritz Reserve has put significant money into to develop over the last few years). From San Juan airport, it was about 30-45 minutes but a world away from the cold Northeast US we were coming from. The condo on Fairways is quite good for a family looking for comfortable accommodations on a great resort. Rooms and the overall property are well maintained with full kitchen, towels, washer/dryer, golf cart, etc. While there might be newer properties on the resort the home on Fairways had everything we needed. Juan, the owner, is also highly responsive and knows a lot about the property/area. I had a lot of questions before the trip and he was quick to give input on every occasion. While the property is close to a convenient, small pool across the parking lot which requires key access, we spent most of our time traveling on the property to the beach/larger pools, gym, golf, watersports @ Goodwinds (owned by ex-Olympian Karla), etc. My kids had a great time doing the surf and kiteboarding lessons at Goodwinds and the beach area has a nice break wall which makes the ocean manageable for even smaller kids. The golf course is also great and clears out generally after the early morning rush. Svevo at the resort concierge desk was also a great resource especially when booking at the restaurants and activities. For more complete access to the Dorado Ritz Resort amenities including the restaurants, beach club, Ambassadors youth program, golf discounts, gym, etc I highly recommend becoming a short term member which the owner can help you with. In terms of restaurants, Positivo for sushi was great for the more formal dinner we had, beach restaurants/ encanto / by goodwinds for day/lunch time in bathing suits and Zafra also kept the whole family happy. Since the distance between the property and the beach/main hotel/goodwinds/golf, watermill water park/gym are all fairly spread out, the golf cart is also very helpful. We had a rental car since we wanted to explore off resort a bit and pick up supplies at the local SuperMaxx grocery but there is more than enough on the resort property to keep the family busy for a full vacation. My family was sad to leave and hope to be back in the near future."

  • Villa de Paz is Villa de Wonderful

"If your looking to get away from city life and relax in a quiet beach setting, then this Villa is just what you want! Waking up and sitting on one of two balconies (upper or lower) overlooking the ocean is amazing. This place has everything you need plus extras. The décor is light and airy and calling your name. A home away from home that had my wife and I fully relaxed from the moment we walked through the door. The kitchen has everything you need for a home cooked meal and a grill out on the balcony. The bedrooms are fully equipped as well. Just get there and then go to the beach for a swim in that warm water. Then, explore the wonders of Puerto Rico!"

  • Slice of Paradise

"This villa was fabulous for our group of 8 (ages 5 to 74, with three couples). The Beach Club and Ritz Carlton Reserve itself provides a multitude of amenities for all interests, and this was one of my very favorite beaches ever, given the diversity of what you could do in a relatively small space - lounging, wading for little kids, snorkeling, tide pools, bodysurfing, SUPing, kitesurfing, etc and long stretches of sand for walks. The house itself was perfect for either lounging all day (as grandpa did), or providing a nice respite after a day of adventuring to come back to a nice dip in the pool or soak in the hot tub. Luxury Rentals was great to deal with as well- very quick with any questions/issues. I would highly recommend!"
