  • Excellent way to see Puerto Rico

"Very best way to see El Yunque, bioluminescence bay and a very private beach. Our family of 11 (aged 11 - 70) enjoyed the recreation equipment and the central location of this very well equipped home. Owner Connie recommended an isolated beach each nearby - we were the only people there and the waves were perfect. She was very responsive to questions about the property. A list of recommended restaurants was also helpful. We kayaked to the bioluminescent bay with the Kayaking Puerto Rico Company. Very memorable and unlike anything else we had ever seen. Hiking in the rain forest was fun, as well."

  • Exactly what I was expecting. Very nice

"My family and I loved this place. It was beautifully kept, modern, and clean. Will certainly recommend it to my family and friends. I am giving it 4 stars for two minor reasons. First reason has to do with gaining access. I followed all the rules, sent in my itinerary, called Anthony a few days prior to my arrival, and called again upon my arrival. Somehow, getting access was still a challenge, Anthony was not responsive when I first called 3 days prior to my arrival. I called again 1 day prior and he calculated my arrival time to the apartment, and agreed he would meet me there, Once I arrived, Anthony sent me a message advising that he was stuck in traffic, but that the keys were left in the unit, with the door open. He neglected to mention to me that there was a door to the building that I would need to gain access to. I had to go to security, and convince them that I was not a thief, and that I left the keys inside the unit. They eventually called Anthony and got permission to let me in. That was a very unpleasant experience. I will say that security is very tight, and cautious with whom they give access to. My other concern is similarly minor, but important to me, and I assume others. The unit has a lovely balcony overseeing the bay, which is nicely furnished for a nice evening sipping cognac and smoking a cigar. Unfortunately, smoking is not permitted on the balcony. I completely understand not smoking in the apartment as the smell stays in it, however, why not the balcony? I enjoy having my coffee and cigarette in the morning, but I had to walk out of the building, to the parking lot to smoke and have my coffee. That kind of took away from the overall experience. Again, I am not unreasonable, and completely understand not wanting smokers in the apartment. It is my opinion that balconies are designed for the sole purpose of enjoying a coffee and cigarette without compromising the inside of the apartment. Before renting this unit, I read a tremendous amount of reviews and settled on this unit based on the positive feedback. I was not disappointed, and the reviews were pretty much accurate. My review is as honest as I can get, and if you are not a smoker, I am hard pressed to come up with anything you would not like. The place is absolutely fabulous. Regarding Anthony; most reviews raved about him, and his role in this process. I somehow missed that, or maybe I just went on a week he was not really available."

  • La Mancha on Isla Verde Ave in Carolina, Puerto Rico is a very nice condo complex.

"Great condo in a well kept building and pool. However, the shower in the bathroom did leak out on to the bathroom floor due to the glass shower stall door not aligning up properly with the rest of the stall and we had to mop up a fair size puddle after each shower, The garbage disposal also malfunctioned when first used and there was a mini flood in the kitchen. Coincidently the kitchen sink was slow to drain until the problem was fixed which took two days to happen. But none the less the condo was very nice. I suspect the garbage disposal had been sitting for some time unused and the fittings had dry rotted. The location of the complex, La Mancha was excellent and right across the street from not only the Intercontinental Hotel and Casino but also the El San Juan Hotel and Casino with ample night life especially on the weekends. • Living like a local

"Enjoyed the luxuries of being in a home, even though there was only two of us:-). Clean home with necessary items.Traveled lots of the island and enjoyed lunch and dinner at Saltire's. Especially enjoyed our humpback whale show while we were eating lunch. Loved the Acai bowl food spot down the road. All of Rebecca's recommendations are excellent and just the gps coordinates to all locations was awesome. The ocean is closer than many beachside resorts. If you are looking to explore the island this is a great place to stay."
