  • great time had by all

"We had a great time at Villa Familia, the home was just as described on the website (VRBO). There are plenty of things to keep everyone in your group busy in the Palmas del Mar community. There is so much to do outside of Palmas as well. The only drawback we found on the property was the beach was smaller than expected, but we found awesome beaches nearby. The home has everything you need for a day at the beach (chairs, towels, coolers). The home itself is very roomy, we were a group of 12 and didn’t feel crowded in at all. We went during an unusually busy week so we were unable to rent golf carts to get around the property (not necessary but cool), so I would recommend you make reservations in advance for things you really want to do, especially for larger groups. You will need more than a week to do everything you want to do since there is so much to do on the island. Already planning our next trip. If you have children or enjoy a resort like atmosphere, the beach club is a must."

  • Gorgeous Villa! Breathtaking Views! Amazing Resort & Beach!

"What an absolutely amazing villa and resort! Beach is just a short golf cart ride away. Resort has many tasty restaurants, pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and gorgeous golf courses that we loved playing. We rented the 2 stories for our family of 5 and it was perfect! Husband and I stayed in the luxury couples suite upstairs which is a MUST to have our own space away from the kiddos. Has 3 bedrooms, 3 king size Very Comfy beds, 2 bath, & nice linens supplied. Villa is air conditioned & ceiling fans which was so nice after being outside all day or wanting to take a nap in afternoon. Villa was immaculate and stocked with anything and everything a family would need - beach chairs, beach towels/umbrellas and toys, sunscreen galore, boogie boards, goggles, beach bags, you name it! The owners were very thoughtful in providing all you would need for concenience and a great vacation. Annnnnd it has WIFI! For those who are workaholics or can't unplug, it also has a laptop and printer. Resort grounds come with a variety of animals, you can feed turtles, fish and birds from villa's back yard and iguanas are everywhere. The pictures online don't do it justice - the grounds are lush and so vivid in color. Resort is low key and not busy at all during the week, we had the beach to ourselves! No waiting at the restaurants for food. The owners made excellent recommendations that we followed and never had a bad meal there. Weekends are a little busier and watch out for kids driving golf carts carelessly. Other than that and occasional power outages in Puerto Rico (happened at airport too), have nothing bad to say about this resort. We loved it! Owners were very accommodating inasmuch as we got in a day later than reserved and they graciously agreed to extend our stay by another day on the back end. They also let us use their golf cart to maneuver thru the resort. They always answered questions promptly and were exceptionally accommodating. You will feel very safe there with the security gates. I will definitely miss drinking morning coffee on the rooftop terrace or one of our many furnished balconies! Wyndham is next door and has a casino! Palmanova Plaza had DELICIOUS restaurants! We ventured into Old San Juan, went zip lining in El Yunque Rainforest and went jet skiing out to Monkey Island and snorkeled with sting rays! Amazing trip. Loved it! You will too! Villa will seem like home. We highly recommend this villa and resort."

  • totally relaxing

"the condo was beautiful, 100 inch projection TV, all the amenities. The pool was really nice and most of the time there were hardly any people there so pretty private. There was no iron in the facility and with almost all the attendants speaking Spanish , it took two days to finally get across what I needed. The one big downside is that there really is no beach due to erosion. There is a small area that you could actually put a lounge chair on but the seaweed and rocks are a problem. Not sure why they can't rake the seaweed up daily, it is such a small area. Other than that it was great but you absolutely need a car if you plan to go off the property at any time, otherwise a golf cart is available."

  • Excellent Stay, Excellent Time,

"What can you see about perfection! Our first time using VBRO, or any type of business and for our first time we hit the jackpot. Mr. Wells, the condo owner was extremely helpful in calming our fears and answering our questions. Their home was as beautiful as it appeared in the pictures, even better! Mr. Drake Rogers who handles the property on behalf of Mr. Wells, was extremely accommodating. He sent us all the information we could possibly need, and even then when I called him (due to my confusion) he was so nice and helpful. Our granddaughter (8 years old) did not want to leave! She wanted to stay another 30 days! The location is one of the best in Palmas, my in-laws stayed at another property and ours was the best by far. We used the Beach Club facilities, and our granddaughter loved the "mini" water park. She stayed active the whole week, Gigi and Papa got tired but were thrilled she was so happy. I cannot tell you how beautiful this place is; and if you get an opportunity to stay please treat yourselves you WILL NOT be sorry. It was difficult leaving but we left knowing we have a very relaxing, calming, place to return to in the future. Sincerely, Jose' and Brenda Thank you Mr. Wells and Mr. Rogers for making our stay a memorable one for us and our granddaughter!"
