  • Beautiful, safe apartment in lovely village

"The apartment at Villas Del Sol was perfect for our stay. I needed a place to accommodate 6 people for up to a week. I had originally looked around Guanica but did not find anything acceptable there, and then I found this place, and it was just right. La Parguera is a hidden gem - it has a new town center with paved walkways and 3-story lookout for viewing the sunset, lots of small shops and restaurants, in just a 2 block area. We didn't know anything about it, but this apartment was just 1 block from town center and an easy walk to restaurants and the dive shop, which was our main reason for going. It was very nicely furnished, had a full kitchen, and has a parking lot secured by a locked gate. A small pool is available but we didn't use it much. Best thing about the apartment is that it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which are needed for 6 people. I visited with my wife and four mid-20s women (all graduate students) so it was great for the wife and I to have our own bed and bath. The furnishings are very nice and all appliances worked well. I would recommend bringing your own beach towels because only bath towels were provided - that's the only thing that would have made it better. Our unit was closest to the street and there was some street noise on weekends, but during the week it was very quiet. Fortunately it was on the ground floor, as we had a lot of baggage. I met the owner in San Juan to get and return the keys and she was very nice. I plan to return to La Parguera and would definitely rent here again."

  • Perfect Vacation Home

"This house was everything everyone has said and more. We had plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The location is just right, not too far from everything, whether you are traveling east or west. And the beach was spectacular. Every time we went down (a one minute walk), we had the place to ourselves. Diane was a lovely host. She gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities. She checked in with us by texting and answered any questions we had. Plus there are three binders with recommendations and reviews of area restaurants and activies from previous renters. That was extremely helpful. All the beach toys were great: masks and snorkels, paddle board, kayak and more for big kids and little ones along with bikes. The kitchen is small but fully stocked with everything you need to make a great meal and there is a gas grill. There are several grocery stores nearby. Take advantage of the roadside stands for fresh mangos and pineapples. We even grilled some of the pineapple. Yum. We had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico and this house added the extra "wow" factor I wanted for our family vacation. I would highly recommend this property and Diane to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay. We would definitely stay here again."

  • La Mancha on Isla Verde Ave in Carolina, Puerto Rico is a very nice condo complex.

"Great condo in a well kept building and pool. However, the shower in the bathroom did leak out on to the bathroom floor due to the glass shower stall door not aligning up properly with the rest of the stall and we had to mop up a fair size puddle after each shower, The garbage disposal also malfunctioned when first used and there was a mini flood in the kitchen. Coincidently the kitchen sink was slow to drain until the problem was fixed which took two days to happen. But none the less the condo was very nice. I suspect the garbage disposal had been sitting for some time unused and the fittings had dry rotted. The location of the complex, La Mancha was excellent and right across the street from not only the Intercontinental Hotel and Casino but also the El San Juan Hotel and Casino with ample night life especially on the weekends. • Amazing Ocean View

"This a great condo right on the beach. The owner has it stocked with everything you need. The bed linens were luxurious and comfortable and everything was very clean. They have a double parking space under the building - very convenient. The Wyndham hotel next door was very busy because of the holiday season but the pools and beach in front of the condo were never crowded. Plenty of chairs were available. (And nice beach towels in the condo too!) The hotel had an absolutely incredible fireworks display for New Year's Eve. They also had a $155/ person party. As this was a family trip with a child, we opted for dinner in the hotel at Shima and watched the fireworks from the condo balcony. Service and food at the hotel restaurants: Shima - excellent, Marbella - horrible, Palio - great food, horrible service, Coffee bar - great pastries, long lines. Antijotes Restaurant(at the bottom of the hill as you leave the resort) was very good - try the Mofongo. Baleaneario Monserratte beach at Liquillo was fun - dine at the Kioskos. We also went horseback riding through the rain forest at Carballo's and zip lining at Jungleaqui - both nearby and highly recommended. Super fun trip and we hope to return!"
