"I spent the must wonderful week at this second floor corner apartment! Once you enter the living room you have ocean views on every window! The master room also has direct ocean views and access to the balcony! The beach view is unobstructed, not a great beach for swimming because of waves and depth however it is beautiful! There is a swimming beach less than 5 min away, great for surfing too and a pool within the apartment complex for swimming. There is a surf shop 2min from the apartment complex called WRV that rents surfboards, we took surfing classes with them, super fun! The apartment complex is also near multiple restaurants, out favorite was tsunami. There is also a in town café that delivers breakfast and lunch called El pocito Dulce, food was amazing! The apartment has all the essentials for every day cooking and house ware needs such as linens, towels and beach towels, pool toys, beach chairs...really all you would want to bring to the beach but not into an airplane. Overall great location for beach lovers, low key beach area with fantastic restaurants out of the beaten tourist traps."

  • Very comfortable and clean place...

"I love the design of the condo/apartment.. very open space.. and very spacious for 4 adults.. and even with a whole family of 6 plus kids it's still enough space... the complex that the place is located in is very safe.. I alone love that fact that is located right next to an awesome beach.. Only bad thing is.. for a non-party type of family it's a little noisy on the weekends due to the sports bar and cantina/restaurants right next to the complex.. it's. Good thing cause you don't have to drive to find good food.. other than this.. everything was awesome for a family looking to relax and spend some time enjoying the peaceful and beautiful P.R."

  • A wonderful restful retreat

"If you enjoy a private and peaceful setting with a beautiful beach - perfect for swimming, body surfing, snorkeling, and even surfing- just a short walk away, then this is the place for you! When we arrived at this lovely, well equipped house, we were surprised to find that there weren't actually ocean views. Its not that we were far from Shacks Beach, it was just that a bucolic, and peaceful pasture filled with horses separated us from the dune that protected beach and hid the view of the beach and ocean. However, the ocean and beach made its presence know at all times as the rhythmic sound of the surf filled the air and the fresh ocean breezes kept us comfortable. Getting to Shacks Beach was an easy walk and if you need a car to haul surfboards or SUPs, there is parking at the end of the street. Shacks is a beautiful beach catering to a lovely group of residents and vacationers - definitely family friendly and peaceful. Also fun is nearby Jobos beach were you can find restaurants, bars, and surf shops. The house was perfect for our group of four. Especially lovey was the fact that it was surrounded by nature in all its beauty: a large edifice behind us; a wildlife sanctuary just to the side - so close you could touch the vegetation from the upped deck; and peaceful farms on the other two sides. If was a perfect retreat from a day spent at the beach. Two full bathrooms - one on each level, gave us plenty of privacy, and the compact and efficiently designed house felt welcoming. The one thing that surprised us was that the bedroom walls did not connect to the beautiful, lacquered wood ceiling. However, it began to make sense (and this is only a guess on my part because I am not an expert in these matters) as the "open air" construction allowed the sea breezes to circulate throughout the house - which also applies to the air conditioning, if that is what you prefer. The outdoor living spaces on either level were perfect - hanging out was a pleasure. Just at the end of the driveway was a little cantina called Ola Lola's, which was run by the neighbor and his wife. We grew to enjoy going there for a cocktail and a chat. The place was great and the host, Lorraine, was very helpful!"
