  • Friendly hosts, great value

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay at Ocean View Suites in the heart of Luquillo! The owners, Alex and Richelle, were friendly, responsive and very very helpful in terms of accommodating our schedule and giving advice about local attractions, restaurants, etc. This second-floor unit is in an older building located on Luquillo's main plaza, right next to La Pared beach. This is a nice, basic rental property. The 3 suites available on this property are all arranged around a central lobby and shared kitchen. All areas are squeaky clean and very well maintained. The balcony wraps around so you can see the ocean, plaza and a view of the rainforest from the second floor. When we were there, the breeze from the ocean meant there were no bugs, but had there been, there is AC in the units and screens on windows. Beach chairs and plenty of beach towels are part of the deal - very useful! A few things you should know that may be factors for you - though they were not for us: * There are three levels of security (locks, etc.) for your room, but this rental is NOT located in a "gated" or security community. It's right downtown. We felt very safe here, but know this is a consideration for others. Parking is on street (we had no problems finding space) or in the lot across the street. * This unit is on Luquillo's main plaza - fun for drinking coffee on the balcony and watching school kids head to school across the plaza, but less fun if people are driving through the plaza at night with the requisite LOUD radio. With doors shut and AC on, this was not a problem for us. * Water pressure in the unit was variable when we were there; we think this was more about a municipal water issue than any problem with the unit itself. The ENTIRE 3-unit space would be great for an extended family to share, something we are considering for future visits to the area."

  • Amazing Location and Value

"My family just returned from gorgeous Luquillo and our stay at Dulces Suenos. Brandi, the owner, has terrific communication skills and we were able to troubleshoot any little issue that popped up. The location, right on Playa Azul, is terrific. The condo is stocked with sports equipment, and we spent a lot of time boogie boarding. The surf was incredible. We also used the full sized pool (it has a deep-end!) and the ping pong table in the common room. The beds were comfortable and we greatly appreciated the air-conditioning in each bedroom as it was humid at night. Overall, this is a great functional space for a family with easy access to San Juan, Farjardo and El Yunque."

  • Spacious apartment and great location

"My wife, infant child, mother, aunt and I stayed here for just under a week. We were looking for a place within walking distance of a calm beach, close enough to the highway and within an hour of the airport. We were not disappointed. The beach is about 100 yards from the condo. There were waves, but the waves were not rough. And if we wanted no waves, we only had to walk about 1/4 mile on the beach and arrive in much calmer water. With an 11 month old, it was perfect. The water was shallow, clear and calm. I did not want to stay in a high rise condo building, which Luquillo does have if that is your flavor. There is something to be said of being able to walk outside of your door , and not having to walk down a hallway, take an elevator down, and walk across a lobby just to get outside...Alana and her family were so accommodating and helpful to our needs, which was not much, but it was nice to know that she was very responsive when a few minor things came up. While it does not impact my five star rating of my experience, if there is anything negative to write about the property, it would be that there was the occasional vehicle that would drive by in the middle of the night with its music blasting. Then again, I was in PR during a Holiday weekend - El Dia de San Juan...Thank you Alana and have a wonderful summer!"

  • No wonder this condo has 50+ 5-star reviews. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

"I stayed at this lovely condo for three weeks. It was a terrific home away from home. Everything was beautiful, clean and in order. The condo was tastefully decorated and well-equipped with a fully functional kitchen, towels, bed linens, and deck furniture. The grill on the rooftop terrace was a great place to prepare dinner while enjoying the ocean and the view of El Yunque. The sturdy deck furniture was nice to relax in while enjoying the ocean breeze, and the pictures on the website can’t begin to show how beautiful the view from the private rooftop terrace is. My family and I spent a wonderful time at the beach, relaxing and visiting. The owner even provides beach chairs to take down to the beach. When we didn’t want to cook, we enjoyed some of the many restaurants nearby in Luquillo—across Highway 3, at the Kioskos, Boardriders by the ocean wall and Pasta y Pueblo—offering some of the finest food you’ll find in the are. Fajardo is very close and offers the Bio Bay, golfing, and sailing attractions. Hacienda Carabali is just a short drive away. The owner, Jocelyn, and property manager, Alana, were very attentive. It’s no wonder this condo has 50+ 5-star reviews! Thanks for a great time at Punta Bandera. I hope to return soon."
