  • Friendly hosts, great value

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay at Ocean View Suites in the heart of Luquillo! The owners, Alex and Richelle, were friendly, responsive and very very helpful in terms of accommodating our schedule and giving advice about local attractions, restaurants, etc. This second-floor unit is in an older building located on Luquillo's main plaza, right next to La Pared beach. This is a nice, basic rental property. The 3 suites available on this property are all arranged around a central lobby and shared kitchen. All areas are squeaky clean and very well maintained. The balcony wraps around so you can see the ocean, plaza and a view of the rainforest from the second floor. When we were there, the breeze from the ocean meant there were no bugs, but had there been, there is AC in the units and screens on windows. Beach chairs and plenty of beach towels are part of the deal - very useful! A few things you should know that may be factors for you - though they were not for us: * There are three levels of security (locks, etc.) for your room, but this rental is NOT located in a "gated" or security community. It's right downtown. We felt very safe here, but know this is a consideration for others. Parking is on street (we had no problems finding space) or in the lot across the street. * This unit is on Luquillo's main plaza - fun for drinking coffee on the balcony and watching school kids head to school across the plaza, but less fun if people are driving through the plaza at night with the requisite LOUD radio. With doors shut and AC on, this was not a problem for us. * Water pressure in the unit was variable when we were there; we think this was more about a municipal water issue than any problem with the unit itself. The ENTIRE 3-unit space would be great for an extended family to share, something we are considering for future visits to the area."

  • Can't go wrong with this condo

"We have stayed in this condo twice and already have another stay booked. We have been coming to PR for many years and have stayed in different parts of the island. This is a beautiful spot, condo is comfortable and well stocked. For restaurants we recommend, Dos Panza, El Estacion, and kiosk 38. The owner of this apartment is easy to deal with and very helpful if you have any questions. You can't go wrong staying here."

  • Wonderful location

"Our family of five, including two teens, stayed here Christmas week. The location is amazing. About 45 minutes from Old San Juan, 15 minutes from El Yunque Rainforest and 30 from Fajardo Luminescence Bay. We walked the beach but didn't swim since the rio currents were too strong at this time and honestly, we were too busy. THe condo has everything you need and the views on bother sides are amazing. The ocean sounds were so loud and the owner is correct, the A/C really isn't run much due to the wonderful cross breezes. The condo is a little dated in furnishings, but they are all well maintained and comfortable. The owner sent a large packet prior to us leaving and has excellent communication. There is a Walgreens and grocery store within walking distance. Glad we chose to stay in the Luquillo area since there is so much to do near here and a day trip to Old San Juan is easy. The owner recommended sailing with Erin go Braugh and wow was this amazing. There are a ton of restaurants 5 minutes down the road and too many to choose from, La Papilla and Revolution Pizza were great. Would definitely stay here again."
