  • Quiet, beautiful, beachfront

"We traveled to Rincon for a destination wedding. This was our first VRBO and the owner was very helpful in accommodating our stay. The condo building was very quiet and nearly empty. The facility was very clean and we enjoyed the pool every day of our stay. You are steps away from a beautiful walk on the beach where you can see lots of wildlife. The beach isn't really equipped for swimming as it is very rocky near the shoreline, but it is perfect if you want to dip your toes in the sand. There is a beach within walking distance that is better for swimming and paddle boarding which we also enjoyed. You can also walk to multiple restaurants! The condo was perfect for my parents, fiance' and I. We had trouble with the Wifi on the first night which was concerning for my parents who work remotely, but the owner was very helpful in troubleshooting and getting our issue resolved! I would highly recommend this place for anyone travelling to Rincon."

  • Excellent Rincon Base

"This place is a perfect base for a vacation in Rincon, particularly if you are in any way interested in surfing. To start, the hosts (Bobby and Raquel) are very familiar with all that Rincon and the area have to offer and are quick to offer assistance if you need some help. We ended up getting a flat tire and Bobby was able to make arrangements for the repair at a very reasonable price (allowing me to go off and enjoy an already scheduled surf lesson, which he also organized for me). The place is very, very, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you need to prepare light meals, snacks, coffee and tea. There is a BBQ area where you could prepare more substantial meals, but we never used it as there are a lot of very nice restaurants/bars in Rincon that we wanted to enjoy. It is very nice to sit on the veranda with a coffee in the morning or at night before bed. It is not located on a Beach, however, it is central to many of the key beaches. As Rincon has many beaches and attractions around it that you will likely want to visit, there is a significant benefit to renting a vehicle for the duration of your stay regardless of where you stay. As Bobby and Raquel also run the Mar Azul Surf Shop they are able to help with the needs of any surfer and they offer great discounts on board rentals to guests. They also provided free snorkeling gear (we found Steps Beach to be a very nice place to snorkel – we saw a good variety of fish and coral and we were very entertained by a young sea turtle)."

  • A Dream Vacation Home

"From the time we arrived at Casa Palma Azul to the time we departed, we had a great family vacation. Casa Palma Azul lived up to its name as the most luxurious home in Rincon. It was truly spacious and everyone had his or her own space when they needed some quiet time. I did not want my son, Chef Mo, from Norfolk, VA to prepare meals but the gourmet kitchen was equipped with EVERYTHING! SO needless to say, all of the breakfasts each morning were prepared and served outside on the 2nd floor veranda dining table. The fresh mangos that were picked from the neighbor's yard across the street were unlike any we tasted back on the mainland. Super fresh!!! We only had 3 dinners at Casa Palma Azul but easily could have had all the meals there, except, I insisted that we go out to the local restaurants to enjoy the surroundings. The activities were great: my family went deep-sea fiving, snorkeling, sunset cruise, golfing, cliff driving in San Sebastian and a one day trip to visit Old San Juan. We dis as much as we could in 7 days. We really needed another 3-4 days to round out our trip but, nonetheless, it was good. The pool area was gorgeous and the grounds were immaculately manicured. Mr. and Mrs. Brown, you must truly be delighted with your home as we were thoroughly thankful that you opened it up for rental and my family said it was a vacation they will always remember. My son from Houston wants to start looking at next year. Although we lost power 4 days in a row, due to storms, we never once was inconvenient as your generator(s) kicked in almost immediately. We want to thank Allison for all of her help prior to our arrival and sorry we did not get a chance to meet her. However, Annette stepped in and she was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I think I made a friend for life with her. She was truly an asset and helped direct us in getting around in Puerto Rico. We treated your home as though it was ours and made sure everything was left in a satisfactory condition. Rose Mary Mitchell, Gene Sebron and Family Greenbelt, MD"

  • I could get used to living on the beach...

"We ended our week in Puerto Rico at the Sandy Beach Villa. It was our 4th hotel during the week and we stayed 4 nights. We rented the 1st floor with our 4 young adult kids ages 19, 21, 23 and 25. Staying at the Sandy Beach Villa was so relaxing. WE could cook in, instead of having to find restaurants for every meal like the first part of the trip (gets expensive when you are feeding 6). Eating on the 4th floor rooftop deck was amazing and lounging on the first floor chaise lounges was relaxing. In other words the outdoor spaces were A+! Also, being right on the beach you could dip in and out of the perfect temperature water. The kids took a surfing lesson from the guys in the lot next door which was reasonably priced at $40 per person including all day board rental. We drove to Steps Beach and used the 2 snorkels from the house and rented 2 more there. There were always waves on Sandy Beach so calmer waters would have been a little nicer for me personally. The rest of the family didn't mind. The house also has a couple of boogie boards to use. Back to the house: the living room was comfortable and the beds were as well. A/C and fans worked GREAT. WiFi not so good but you could catch it in part of the living room and 1 bedroom. T-Mobile didn't work in the house but did on the patio and street. I really liked the neighborhood mix of a shop across the street and Tamboo 3 doors down. There were some other cute places to stay nearby. The area felt totally safe. Our family was on high alert for mosquitos and the Zika virus and this house had screens on all of the windows - very reassuring. Erica was the manager on duty and I feel that she was very accessible. We had a great stay at the Sandy Beach Villa and wish we could have stayed longer! Hawaii and Cabo San Lucas are typically the go-to places for Californians and I am now a Puerto Rico fan where I can stay RIGHT ON THE BEACH for a reasonable price."
