  • A pleasant 30 days!

"We were a group of 7 vacationing for the entire month of July 2016. We rented all 3 units. Ivan was efficient, responsive and informative before and throughout our stay. Nydia the property manager, was warm, welcoming and accommodating. The property appeared just as expected from how it was presented in advertised photos. There were ample beach and home supplies available to us. We are all very tidy folks and had no issues with maintaining cleanliness for ourselves just as we would if we were at home. We all felt comfortable and safe in the neighborhood /area. Our stay was lengthy enough to explore the entire island and we were glad we chose to stay in the Puntas, Rincon area because we were able to soak up so much local culture with great beaches, water activities, fresh produce market, authentic Puerto Rican food, and a street market with various vendors on Thursdays and Sundays. Very close by (within 5-10 mins drive), we enjoyed snorkeling and empanadas at Steps Beach, Parasailing from the Marina, fresh oysters and shopping at Maria's beach and food specials and Karaoke at the Beach House. It rained nearly everyday for short periods, but it never kept us from enjoying activities. We usually got out early, ate lunch while it rained, then got back out when the sun reappeared. This property does not have a swimming pool, but after meeting 2 other vacationing families at Karaoke and at the beach, we accepted a few invites for taking a dip, which was really cool! We truly enjoyed our stay at this property."

  • Exactly as advertised!

"We have visited Puerto Rico several times but this was our first time in the Rincon area. Our family of five adults and one toddler all enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal and the house was laid out perfectly. The owners were great to work with, very helpful. We are already planning on rebooking for next year!"

  • The Perfect Family Vacation

"My family (2 adults and two boys (14&10) stayed in this wonderful apartment and I couldn't have been happier. We arrived in Rincon at 7:00pm and were met immediately with the keys. After a quick walk through we were delighted to find that there were literally miles of uncrowded beach within 200 steps from our back door. The apartment is located in a perfect spot. It is off the main road by a couple of blocks but everything we did was no more than a 15 minute drive away. There is a great bakery (EC Bakery) very close, a small market for quick stops (beer) and an Econo supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away (be careful of local drivers). For our family the apartment was the perfect set up. The extra bathroom was a blessing, the bunk beds were perfect for the boys and there are even two futons in the front room if you need extra space. The laundry facilities were a great convenience as well. The apartment was very clean, well stocked with the essentials and stayed surprisingly cool. I will echo a previous review in that it would be nice to have an extra set of keys (especially for the beach gate) but it would be a convenience, certainly not a necessity. My favorite thing about the apartment was the flexibility it gave us that allowed us to just relax. If the boys wanted to snorkel or swim they could. If they got tired of the salt and sand they could swim. It was perfect. Speaking of swimming and snorkeling... We were there in June so the ocean was pretty tame. The beaches that surround the apartment are very soft sand beaches that gently slope away and don't get deep for quite awhile. While the water was a bit "murky" it was just fine for snorkeling beginners and kids. There is a rock/coral shelf about 30 yards off the beach and we saw lots of fish, some really big tarpon and there was a school of sardines there the whole time (literally thousands of fish that we swam right through). Lots of shells and sea glass to find too. One thing to be careful of is the bees. They aren't everywhere but they are vicious so beware. Recommendations: We really enjoyed dinner at the Rincon Brew Company and the Shipwreck Bar and Grill. Los Pescadores is a must. Avoid the Harbor Restaurant, great view... below average food. The EC Bakery was wonderful. Steps Beach. We saw a couple of turtles. Be aware that the bottom is covered with sea urchins so watch where you get in. Rincon Surf School was great. Ask around about the local waterfalls. Thanks Luis!"

"Once again we had a truly wonderful stay at Casa de Buena Fortuna and it's gorgeous beach. Our strong advice to anyone considering a visit to Rincon is to spend your vacation in this stylish villa. You will feel like you are in one of those HGTV shows about upscale resorts with all the amenities. Prepare to take lots of selfies in the tastefully decorated surfer-themed rooms, and of course in the rooftop hot tub. Your friends will be seriously jealous, and you will be plotting your return!"
