  • Wonderful forest retreat

"We love staying at Cristina's property in the forest! The cottage is in a large private forest next to a river. The forest is mature and undisturbed, there are tons of frogs, lizards, and birds - a nature lover's dream. The scenery is beautiful and there are several trails on the property to go exploring. If you walk all the way to the top of the hill you can actually watch the sun set in the Caribbean and get a good view of Desecheo. The cottage is rustic but in a quaint way - the walls are wood but you have all the amenities and comfort you could wish for (laundry, A/C, kitchen, hot water, etc.). I love sitting on the large front porch when eating my breakfast and my group enjoyed using the barbecue in the evenings! It is much cooler up there in the mountains than in the city, we were very comfortable only running the ceiling and wall fans. The property is also really ideally located. I've not found another rental like it in Puerto Rico - you can have your forest retreat but still be a very short drive from all the tourist attractions! It's only a 30 minute drive from the property into Rincon, 15 minutes to Mayaguez, and 45 minutes to Cabo Rojo. There's so much to see in this region and the sunsets are amazing. Cristina has always been extremely responsive and welcoming to us when we stay there (this is our 3rd trip to her property). We can't wait for our next trip to this little forest paradise!"

  • Great vacation rental!

"Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Heriberto was available for any inquiries we had and his staff was really helpful. The rental was close to beaches and to the airport. Thank you Heriberto for the excellent service!"

  • Perfect for our Family

"We stayed in PR from 1/11/17 thru 1/18/17. Our family consisted of 2 children and 4 adults. The apartment was exactly as described. We had everything we needed. Extra towels, blankets, I loved the attention to detail in convenience such as the beach toys for the children and the beach chairs. We stopped in at Walmart near the airport on our way to Luquillo to pick up food and toiletries. I would recommend first going to the condo as we bought things that were already supplied at the condo such as dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels....etc. There is an Amigos grocery store right up the street from this condo. Their prices were reasonable and had everything we needed and more. The apartment is well taken care of with new paint, large sliding glass doors to balcony and furnishings. The beds were all very comfortable for good nights sleep. The condo complex is a gated community and you need key access for every door which exits or enters the complex or its amenities so keep they key available at all times. The staff is very friendly and many of them speak some English. The area is great for a touristic vacation for family or romance. We visited the rainforest, bought from local vendors right off the main route, and the kids even mounted horses nearby. Carabali Ranch is a must go for some good family fun including horseback riding, ATV rides, go carting and more. San Juan is an easy 40 min drive for further sightseeing and entertainment/food. The beach view of the condo is spectacular. The balcony is a great to read or have some coffee but do bring a light sweater as it is very windy being on the 21st floor. We had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this apartment if you are looking to stay in the area. Jacqueline is very attentive to any emails with questions that you may have. Thank you for making us feel at home."

  • A "travelers with pets" perfect pick!

"This is a nice place, clean, modern and well run by the owner of the Numero Uno Guest House across the street. My partner and I always travel with our dog so that cuts out 90% of lodging options wherever we go so this was a really good find (I love VRBO!). Also I like having a kitchenette these days to eat breakfast at home. The dog friendly beautiful beach is just steps away, as is Numero Uno's excellent restaurant, which offers on-beach dining (!) and cabana service (umbrellas and lounge chairs) on the beach as well. Street parking is easy and plentiful. Ocean Park is a lovely neighborhood to walk around."
