  • Best Condo in Playa Azul

"This condo is on the 22nd floor in building 1 on the Southwest corner of the building. The windows and doors fold completely back so that the amazing breezes and spectacular views are unobstructed and enjoyed. The sunsets are breathtaking and the sunrises are wonderful as well. The beach is conveniently right out the back with gated doors. The property is gated and secure. We had the pleasure of meeting Miriam during our visit. She is extremely nice and genuinely wants her guests to have whatever they need to make their stay perfect. I mentioned that the pillows were in need of replacement and she immediately went out and purchased new pillows. She has stocked the apartment with all sorts of beach toys and towels and bags to carry all the gear. The washer and dryer was great! The apartment is well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We found a special breakfast place in Fajardo called Las Vistas with a roof-top patio and a view of the harbor. Aromas in La Pared is inexpensive and has good breakfast and lunch. Look up the rock slide in El Yunque called Las Pailas, you can park in Carlos' parking lot for $6 and hike down his back yard to a rock side that is fun and unique. There is another fun rock slide and rope swing destination called Charco Frio in Ceiba. We had a wonderful time in Luquillo. We will be back and definitely stay in Miriam's little corner of Heaven! Thanks Miriam!"

  • Excellent, excellent, excellent

"My husband and I for a short and wonderful visit to Old San Juan. Our stay at the condo started off with a warm welcome from Luis who opened the terrace windows and unveiled a breathtaking view of the harbor. The apartment is extremely convenient to walking to all the city's many restaurants, museums, its seaside walkway around the fortress walls, etc, etc. It provides a birds eye view of the harbor which teems with activity. It is quiet, clean and well equipped. You won't be disappointed. Olivia is very prompt with regard to all inquiries. Luis provided us with excellent information on points of interest. Our favorite thing was starting the day with a long walk along the Pasao del Morro (spectacular!!)."

  • Nice accomodations, Beautiful view

"Overall my family and I liked our accommodations. We stayed for 6 nights. We could have lived on the balcony. Spacious with gorgeous view of the ocean! Everything was clean upon entry and we had good communications with our owner. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils. The two bedrooms were well appointed and the beds as reported by my daughter and wife were very comfortable. The second bedroom did not cool down as well as the rest of the condo with the a/c which was more than adequate. They condo itself has its own pool complex which was very nice and relaxing. It was not crowded at all. Through our owner, we hired a local chef for a dinner that was just what we wanted - local food with great flavor. We dined on the afore mentioned balcony and enjoyed every minute. This was our first time with VRBO and the tips and information were helpful. I will say that Puerto Rico has great people and friendly at every turn. From this location as a base, we were able to easily get to Old San Jaun, Fajardo, Luquillo Beach and other great locations. What I learned was that not every place is the same and while many owners of this complex participate with VRBO, they don't all offer the same amenities, so do your homework. We traveled with four families on this trip. Each had a condo at the Marbella Club, but the experience for each was a bit different as can be expected. Some owners sent detailed packages of activities and instructions, while others simply sent a basic email. Also, three of the four owners belonged to the nearby Beach Club, so they had access to other pools and activities. Again, not a deal breaker, but ask before you commit. We did have a plumbing issue at our place and I must say that the owner acted immediately to fix it upon notification. The beach area is non-existent right in front of the complex due to erosion. About a quarter mile away there is a strip of a beach where my daughter and friends spent considerable time, but you will have to travel to find a proper beach. Also, the complex (Playa del Mar) which has many condo associations (like the Marbella Club), clubs, etc. is very large. It is advisable to rent a golf cart to explore the area, restaurants, etc. especially if you have teens that are always on the move. They have multi-day rental options, that were perfect for my 18 year old and her friends. In summery, nice clean, safe, place, wonderful balcony, nice pool area, wonderful view, that is almost perfect."
