  • Perfect vacation

"As someone who has stayed a lot in the area, I want to say that this is the best place I have stayed in. The loft is even more beautiful in person! It is in a wonderful location- literally one block from the beach, and just a few blocks from great restaurants and shops. Now that there is Uber in Puerto Rico, you don't really need a car in this location if all you want to do is explore San Juan. You can walk to most places, or just take a short uber ride to places like Old San Juan. The apartment itself is impeccable- extremely clean! The hosts- Santos and Ana, have taken great care to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. They even have nice body washes, and all the amenities one could have on vacation. Everything is brand new! Something that is also great is the air conditioning, which can be hit or miss in San Juan. Not the case here- two A/C units that cool very well. Our favorite part was the balcony, where we had breakfast and drinks several times. It has a great view and is very breezy and pleasant. We fully recommend this rental!"

  • 2 month winter retreat

"We stayed at Marbella club for two months- January and February of 2017 and it was wonderful. The view from our terrace was spectacular and we enjoyed breakfast and lunch mesmerized by the ocean view. The pools and grounds were maintained to the highest standard. The unfortunate beach erosion and ongoing repair efforts were distractions, but were minimized by all of the other benefits. Whatever minor problems arose were expertly and expeditiously handled by our wonderful agent."

  • Ideal location!

"My family with 2 teenage girls had a wonderful time staying at this ideal location. We can't say enough positive things about this condo! The quiet and very clean beaches in front of the condo were perfect to feel that we were away from the hustle and bustle. We took long walks on the beach and maybe saw 2-3 people. Really enjoyed watching the surfers from our balcony. The beaches past the surfing beach were calmer (walkable distance). Luquillo beach was wonderful for swimming, kayaking, and other water sports. The condo is only 10-15 minutes away from Fajardo, where there are many excursion opportunities. Fajardo also has any shopping that you would need for groceries and supplies for the condo. The El Yunque rain forest is only 10 minutes from the condo, and San Juan is about a 1/2 drive (must see Old San Juan and get to the caves if you can). The condo itself is very clean and nicely decorated. Fully stocked. The beds are comfortable. The owner and manager were very attentive and extremely flexible to our needs. We happened to have high winds while we were there, so the condo was noisy. You can't get away from this if you want to be right on the beach. We had the same issue in Costa Rica. Just bring some ear plugs. As mentioned in earlier posts, the neighborhood is run down, but people were very nice and welcoming. Never felt unsafe. We enjoyed being around locals vs. tourists. The view from the balcony was one of the best parts of our vacation. Spent mornings with coffee and evenings with wine overlooking the ocean. The restaurants in the area have excellent food and unique settings. I hope we get a chance to come back someday. I am already dreaming of it!"

  • No Regrets!

"My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary here and just loved it! The owner was great! She worked with us in getting the rental agreement taken care of and even had a couple of recommendations for places to eat. (For the love of everything, you HAVE to try the roadside chicken place on PR115 about halfway between Aguada and Rincon!) The apartment was clean and convenient to town. The beach road towards Aguada can get quite lively and somewhat loud on weekend nights, however this place is just far enough away that traffic and noise were never a bother. One point though: If the surf is up, expect a lot of surfers parking their cars nearby. But, in fairness, they were very quiet and well behaved. Nothing to worry about there. The view is wonderful...especially for sunsets. If you like to fall asleep to ocean waves, this is the place. If you want to hear the coqui at night, take a chair and your pina colada and sit outside the front door (which I did) because the waves will be too loud to listen from the balcony. My wife and I plan on coming back to Puerto Rico. We are trying to work our way around the island, but when we get back to Aguada, we will be staying here. (If it's available that is. I can't imagine this place remaining a secret!)"
