  • Caribbean Cottage

"This little cottage is tucked away on a hillside on the beautiful island of St. Thomas with panoramic views of the beautiful ocean and lush mountainsides. I loved that the owners, Ken and Joanne, were very accommodating, both to me and my old pug! This quaint little get away is perfect for those who want a true local feel while in St. Thomas. Everything one needs is here: well appointed bedrooms, a beautiful open concept den, great kitchen and bathroom, and an incredible patio/terrace with outstanding star gazing at night. All in all, the price, location, and accommodations were awesome!"

  • Unique villa with exceptional views and great location

"We loved our stay at Villa Karibuni on our recent vacation with our 2 small children (aged 4 and 6). The view is incredible and we especially enjoyed our time lounging on the deck in the mornings or afternoon/evenings and enjoying the pool and the view. Another highlight was utilizing the kayaks and taking them to Pinel Island for the day. It was windy while we were there so the kayaking was a fun challenge to Pinel but it was effortless coming back! The property is waterfront - just a few steps off the deck and you can be in the kayak heading to the nearby sand bar (amazing for photos) or Pinel. When we are in the Carribbean we enjoy exploring different beaches and areas but you could happily go to Pinel each day. Pinel island has lizards and hermit crabs in a certain area away from the beach that the kids discovered and this made Pinel especially fun for them. The water there is very calm too. The beaches we loved other than Pinel were Anse Marcel and Happy Bay a short walk from Friars Bay. We had considered staying in various hotels and were SO glad we chose this villa because we spent our days out and about exploring and when we came home we didn't feel we needed to go out again (unlike being in a hotel room). Since we have small children it was great to hang by the pool sipping cocktails and use the charcoal grill to prepare dinner with the delicious French ingredients available locally. The local village does have some great restaurants which we enjoyed a few nights too. A few small items were missing from the house but Manon was very responsive and made sure we had all we needed. She also can book reservations or excursions and even babysitters. The house was very clean and although not brand new it was nicely and simply appointed. The air conditioning worked just fine for us in the bedrooms and the rest of the house didn't need it because of the ocean breeze plus there is a huge fan. The whole villa has black out shutters so we all slept in! Manon also kindly provided us with snorkeling equipment and kids sand toys which was so nice. The pool has an alarm on it should you wish to use it which is great if you have small kids. I recommend you stay here - we will be going back!"

  • GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!

"My family of 5 stayed a week and loved every second. Everyday we were out of the home by 12 and truly enjoyed returning to our little oasis in the evening. We especially enjoyed sitting out front and having drinks to the sounds of nature. The apartment looks EXACTLY as the pictures show, and there was plenty of room for all 5 of us and not feel crowded or claustrophobic. Otto was such a wonderful owner that he even called me at times to let me know there were issues (cable and internet) but that he was on top of it and it should be corrected soon. This blew me away, considering we were not even home (went to St Thomas for the day) and had not even attempted to use the cable the entire time! The apartment was in an ideal location and we could walk to the beach, great restaurants on Loiza and McLeary. I will always remember our first time in PR and will definitely think of this as our home away from home. Thank you so much for everything Otto!! Drea"

  • Second visit to Sea Cottage

"This was our second visit to the Sea Cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Monika and Jorge are such warm and friendly people. We were celebrating our third anniversary, and when we arrived we were so suprised to find a welcome note with a bottle of chilled champagne in the fridge! Since our last visit, they built their villa which is situated just below the Sea Cottage but because of the thick jungle, we never saw or heard them the entire time. We did bump into them a few times on our drive in or out and they were always made sure to ask if there was anything we needed. We had a power outage on the island one evening and Monika was quick to text us to let us know what was going on. We spent most of our time exploring St John's beautiful beaches, trying out some of the local eateries that we missed on our last visit, and hanging out at Aqua Bistro for drinks after a long day in the sun. We even got the chance to swim out to "Angels Rest Floating Bar" across from Vie's snack shack in Hanson Bay one afternoon. If you are looking for a romantic, secluded cottage for your next visit to St John you will fall in LOVE with this place. We will not hesitate to book our third trip here!!!"
