  • The Real Deal

"There is a reason that every review is 5 stars- the condo is wonderful. It was a final family vacation before our oldest starts college this fall, and it was the perfect choice. Clean and spacious, three large bedrooms, a great sun room and an outdoor balcony. Each day we explored a different area of the island. Some of our top choices: 1. Rent your SUV from Unity (Brian connected us with them)- nothing better than having your vehicle delivered to you at the airport and then dropping it off in the departure lane. 2. Orient Beach was our favorite beach- we loved the water and casual restaurants- Parking was easy. Other top beaches- Cupecoy- right outside the condo and a private little beach by Little Bay. (There is public parking right next to the Belair Beach Hotel.) 3. We did 2 snorkeling trips. One with Octopus Diving- 3 out of 5 stars: The Creole Rock site is excellent. The other trip was with Captain Alan's Snorkeling- 5 out of 5 stars. A little more expensive, but well worth it. We did the 1/2 day tour and enjoyed every second. Got to see the sea turtles. 4. Croissants at Sarafinas. 5. Beachfront dinner at Grand Case, but just as delicious was a crepe stand near the parking lot. 6. Loterie Farm. My son and I did the hike and saw wild monkeys 7. Card games at night in the sun room overlooking the sea. The internet worked, but was slow for international work. My VPN connection kept getting dropped. Don't plan on doing a lot of remote work, but who really wants to anyway? Dawn beach- too much seaweed. Glad we were not staying there. Philipsburg- we are not big shoppers, so this was a wasted 2 hours. Too many tourists and bad restaurants. Unexpected memorable event: Used google maps on the cell phone while driving, and it worked fine. Occasionally it would route you through "short cuts" that you would not ordinarily plan on taking. One time a wrong turn and inability to take a U turn had us go over one of the highest points- the grade was over 15% and it felt like the SUV was going to tip over backwards. More exciting than any roller coaster- a highlight that even the teens didn't want to repeat. We highly recommend this condo."

  • Paradise Revisited

"We were lucky enough to get the whole month of March in this fantastic condo. Of all the units in Princess Heights this has to be the most convenient one. It overlooks the swimming pool and early every morning you get to see why they call the beach "Dawn Beach" with a fantastic sunrise and a bonus view of St.Barts. The condo is very well appointed and being here for a whole month had plenty of storage for all we brought. We have rented from VRBO since 2004 and without a doubt Steve is the finest person we have rented from taking fantastic care of all our needs. Dave from Michigan"

  • Owner Helpful

"Great quiet beach location - and a short walk from excitement. Owner was helpful to make everything smooth for us. Facilities were very acceptable and clean. As advice: this is not a resort-like vacation spot and it's expected you look after yourself. Rental car is helpful but if necessary you can find most of what you need 1/2 mile down the beach."

  • Great place

"We spent wonderful three weeks in this studio in November. We are always looking for secluded, not overcrowded places and we definitely found it here. We usually met only a few people in the residence as the most of them are probably living there and working in St. Martin. So, also the pool is very relaxing and there are only a few people using it during the day. The studio is very spacious and fully equipped - it is almost the same as shown on the pictures with some small changes. The highlight is the view which is really beautiful at all times of the day. We enjoyed it very much. Having breakfast and watching the sea is a dream. All the sofas, chairs and the bed are comfortable so we really felt like at home. We used to cook by ourselves on most of the days and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. There is a small store in the residence which has the necessary things you may need upon arrival. In the evenings there is a pizzeria next to this shop which has a very delicious pizza. Another grocery store is located in Orient Village where you can walk on the beach. The beach has soft sand and it is enough long for good walks. It can get crowded during the day (depends of how many cruise ships are currently in the port) but we walked every morning and there were only a few people on the beach. We felt totally safe in the residence and also during walking outside. The local people are very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed every minute in this studio and we would ask for it again if returning to St. Martin. Martine is very helpful, we always got a quick answer if we sent an email with some questions. We didn't find any serious weaknesses during the three weeks. Thank you Martine for a great holiday."
