  • Beautiful, large villa, few issues

"When we arrived at the villa, it was stunning even in the dark! Since we rented the entire villa for ourselves, it was huge! Pauline was amazing! Very on call whenever we needed her, and we did, I'll explain later. If you want seclusion with an amazing view, this house is for you! It made us not want to go anywhere because it had everything! However, there were some things that we had issues with that people should be aware of. But even with these issues, I feel that we would stay here again since we go to SXM 1-2 times a year. We haven't found one villa on the island that is 100%, but this comes pretty close! 1. Air conditioning in one bedroom didn't work. Since we rented the whole house, we expected everything to work. 2. The two front bathrooms had sewer issues. And it only happened when it rained. It smelled the whole house like a sewer! Pauline told us how to fix the problem. I feel that this should be addressed when arriving or in the book and not have to wait for an hour for her to respond with the solution. And it happened multiple times, so that was frustrating. 3. I feel the gardener didn't need to be by your particular bedroom so early in the morning. On vacation, you want to be able to sleep late, and not get woken up by 7:00. 4. The cleaning service was great, but took some of our beach towels and never replaced them. The same with the bath towels and washcloths. I feel that if you're staying there for two weeks, everything should be there at your disposal until you leave."

  • Perfect Location

"This really is the perfect location for a quiet and relaxed vacation it is a very short walk to the beach and lots of dining options within walking distance. Delphine's apartment had beach chairs which were so nice (it saved us lots of rental fees for chairs at the beach) the patio was private. The apartment was very clean and safe. Delphine was very easy to work with and had timely response to all my emails. I special thanks to Sylvie for helping with the easy check in and check out. We look forward to our return next year."

  • Two couples getaway

"We shared this beautiful condo with another couple and had lots of room. Location of this condo is perfect - close to Grand Case, Marigot et. Even with one toilet the layout worked well. Toilet and sink in one room and shower, two sinks & clothes washer in another room. Martine was very helpful. More than once she emailed asking of we needed anything and to be sure to contact her if we had any questions. The only issue we had was no washroom at the pool. Our plane was 1 1/2 hours late so we didn't arrive at Mount Vernon until late in the evening and was very pleased to see Martine standing there waiting for us. Apparently not all owners are there when you arrive. She went as far as helping us carry our bags up to the condo. Martine and Christian are a lovely couple. We will definitely return to this condo."

  • Quiet and relaxing. Nick and Gloria are wonderful hosts.

"My wife and I just returned from Mont Vernon on May 13th, and I'd return right now if someone offered. What a beautiful place to relax and unwind. This was our second trip to Saint Martin and our second stay with Nick and Gloria. Mont Vernon is quiet and away from most of the tourist attractions, which is great because you can get a feel for the island the way it really is. You will be on the French side during your stay, everyone speaks English, but you'll want to remember merci. The island is only 37 sq. miles so you can be in Phillipsburg, Marigot, or the airport in about 1/2 hour for dining, shopping, etc. Getting around the island is pretty easy once you get used to it. There is a main highway around the island with off shoots to various parts. It took this American a few days to get used to the roundabouts, but just follow along, it's easy. Dining is available for any kind of palate you have. The only downside to spending a week there is that you will have to leave and go home. Now, here is your plan: BOOK. THE. TRIP. When you arrive, rent a car. Go eat at Skip Jacks (or anywhere for that matter), head to The Grande Marche on Bush Road and get yourself some groceries (yes, they have PLENTY of food you'll recognize). Cruise around the island to Mont Vernon. Meet up with Gloria. Get checked in. Stow your food. Grab your swim suit. Follow the stone path to the pool. Kick your flip flops off. Go through the gate to the beach. Spread out your towel. Sit down. Take a DEEP breath. Relax. You're on island time now. Let the ocean breeze carry your troubles away. Thank You Nick and Gloria. Hope to see you soon."
