  • Awesome Family Vacation!!!

"We are a family of 5 (kids – 14,15,16) and had an amazing vacation in St. Martin. This Villa is better than advertised and nicer than the pictures. There was plenty of room for all of us, the bedrooms were spacious, bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was great. We only ate breakfasts at the house as we were out at the beaches all day and ate dinners out each night. The pool was perfect, not too big, but great for dunking and cooling off . There are 4 lounge chairs for sun worshippers and the sun hits the pool area all day. The covered outside veranda wa perfect for end of day cocktails and morning breakfast coffee. The internet was pretty good (slow at times) asmy 3 teenagers were constantly using it. The air conditioners all worked well (bedrooms only) and the water pressure for showers was excellent. Other reviews talk about walking to close by restaurants etc but my lazy crew found it too far and hilly so we drove most places. A rented car is a must. I would rate this villa a solid 4+ stars which is what I expected at this price. If you want true 5 star you will have to spend a lot more but for my family vacation this was perfect and I’d come back which is my highest compliment. On the logistics Jill was great to deal with. Payments and security refunds all went smoothly. Jill answered all emails same day and as a first time renter this was very reassuring. Directions from airport were confusing but once you find your way the villa is in a great location with lots of nearby beaches, restaurants and bars. Gordon was excellent. He met us once we were settled and gave us the lay of the land and all villa info. He answered all questions and was always reachable by cellular which is provided to you by the owner for local calls….nice touch. Great place to relax and enjoy your vacation."

  • Stunning and a Must Rental

"This property is set up on the hill in a wonderful location in the heart of activities. It has an unobstructed view of Simpson Bay the amazing sunsets. The pool is beautiful and a nice size. The house is stunning and decorated to perfection. Cathy and Andy are wonderful to work with and made the trip very easy. The house has all the amenities needed in the kitchen and baths. Our trip consisted of 3 couples and there was plenty of room and a great floor plan to hang together or to find a quiet space to read. Would recommend renting a car to get around. I would rent this house again in a second."

  • Nothing like this Beauty

"if you're thinking me, you will not be disappointed. PROS: The view was absolutely breathtaking. The house was beautiful, everything was so unique. The master bedroom has a twin bed, which was very comfortable for our 12 year old. Each room has air conditioning. The market surprisingly had a lot of the foods and snacks that we love and it's about 5 minutes away. There are also some absolutely delicious restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner that are less than 5 minutes away, driving. Bruno and Corrine are such hard workers and were such a delight. My travel party included my 12 year old, husband, 2 of our best friends and my mom. It was just perfect. Bring your own snorkel gear as there is a ladder that leads to the sea and there is plenty to see. You will catch cruise ships coming and going. At night, the stars look amazing. Lizards and Iguanas for your viewing pleasure throughout the property. CONS: Mosquitoes were quite prevalent. We spent a lot of money purchasing mosquito repellent but I guess the mosquitoes loved me. I was bit at least 40 times. Thankfully, my daughter didn't get bit, probably because she stayed in the pool. My husband only got bit a few times. SUMMARY: All in all, I would stay here again, no question. La Calanthe is very Tranquil, peaceful, clean and absolutely stunning. I recommend a rental car. We've traveled to many places and often do not rent cars and rely on cabs, however, if we had taken a cab everywhere, we would have spent a ridiculous amount of money. Seriously, if you don't rent a car, you should probably plan on staying in your home or resort. The directions to get around are very easy, Surprisingly. Very Private! I can't wait to go back."

  • Fabulous 2 week vacation at Logan's Run

"We are a couple that have lived on SXM for many years and recently had some friends come to the island for a 2 week vacation. They stayed at Logan’s Run St. Maarten which is ideally located in Pelican Key, just steps from the beach, bars & restaurants. Our friends could not say enough good things about the fabulous 2 bed/2 and a half bath villa. Rebecca provided extra little touches like providing a local cell phone which was extremely convenient. Also the added bonus of having air conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms (not just the bedrooms) was fantastic. I will definitely be recommending Logan’s Run in St. Maarten to any family or friends visiting the island. Thank you Rebecca for being such a wonderful host."
