  • Paradise

"This home is beautiful and the view spectacular. My husband and I and our 4 girls, ages 4, 7, 13, and 15 stayed for 10 days and all had the best time. It is in Cul du Sac, a very tranquil part of St. Martin, very close to Orient Beach and Grand Case. The owner provides 3 kayaks that we enjoyed daily, heading over to Pinel Island. The beach there is spectacular with 2 delicious restaurants and excellent lounge chair service. Villa Pinel is beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds. The owner, Veronique, offered us wonderful recommendations during our stay and was at our beck and call. There is a neighborhood grocery store having everything we needed and next door to that, Ponch Villa, a quaint and delicious mexican restaurant. There isn't a working TV in the villa which allowed us to disconnect and just enjoy each other. In the evenings, we played games and listened to music. The villa has the kitchen and living room open to the outdoors , with only air conditioning in the 3 bedrooms and separate in-laws suite. So, if you are looking for air conditioning and TV, this is not the villa for you. My only negative about the trip were the mosquitos. We had to keep ourselves coated in OFF the whole time and still got bitten, especially the 4 and 7 year old. With that said, we plan to return to Villa Pinel next year. I would highly recommend this villa."

  • This is How To Relax!

"The views, the breeze, the pool and the solitude make this villa a real gem. Nothing like sliding out of bed, slipping into the pool, and sipping coffee. Catherine and Junie met us at the home and were so welcoming and hospitable. Catherine answered any questions about her home and theical area. This place is COMPLETELY private. You can see the cars on the roads below but can't hear them. You are so far up in the hills it is unreal. We had no problem with the drive. We always rent the smallest cars. Steep road up but a lovely drive. We saw iguanas roadside each drive up and down and even saw a Vervet Monkey cross the street once. Some evenings we slept in the main floor suite, lulled to sleep by the breezes and waking to the ever present views of Anguilla Island, Oyster Pond, Le Galion and Orient Beaches. The main, second floor (the floor on which you park and enter the villa), is not air conditioned. Don't need it. Screened windows completely cover the north and east sides of this place, allowing constant air flow as well as almost 180 degree views. A couple of nights we slept in the lower floor's suite. This area is completely air conditioned and has its own en suite master bath. The outdoor veranda which encloses the villa on three sides is about 1500 square feet of space, almost all shaded except for the outdoor shower, which was the only one I used. (Two more inside). Very nice lounge chairs and other furnishings on which to laze inside and out. We very much enjoyed the kitties. They live on and in the property and are completely treated for fleas, heart worms, etc. We were adopted as their parents during our stay. Very little care was needed in exchange for their care of us. They definitely add to the design of this home. They know it too! Catherine offered us use of anything in her pantry and fridge. I'm a foodie and the kitchen while lovely in design was adequately stocked with cutlery and appliances for almost anything I wanted to whip up. Didn't spend too much time in the kitchen except for coffee making and wine chilling. We really miss the view and the quiet back here in Atlanta."

  • Good location-Excellent home

"Very good location, 10 mins to Philipsburg, 20 mins to Grand Case, 30 to Marigot. Photos depict property... no deceptions. Nice pool, well maintained house-grounds. Well equipped kitchen, 3 nice size bedrooms-bathrooms. Very nice views all the way around, constant breeze, refreshing. Built on hillside, so there is some incline if you are walker-jogger. Can easily recommend, no drawbacks."
