  • Relaxation

"After recently retiring, I made a trip to St. Maarten to "unwind". Staying at Serendipity was amazing and great choice. With the many balconies it was great to sit and take in the scenery. The ocean breeze is amazing and relaxing. Sitting and reading on the balconies was very enjoyable. Mike and Maryl were very accommodating on ideas of places to go and see. Some of the restaurants that are nearby and good food and service include Busby's, Mama's Pizza and Dingy Dock. There are many others in Phillipsburg and Simpson Bay. Going to Driftwood to watch the airplanes land and take off is a must when visiting St. Maarten. Mike and Maryl are great hosts and make sure you enjoy your stay?"

  • Great property in Porto Cupecoy!

"We were delighted to be greeted at the airport by Alice, she gave us a tour of the unit and explained how everything worked and provided us with a lovely gift basket. This is a tastefully deocorated SE facing property on the 5th floor. You can enjoy the morning sun til about noon, you fill find all modern appliances. We only used one bedroom but the bed was very comfortable. You will find soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided in each bathroom. The unit has a washer and dryer, 3 Samsung smart TVs with the Dish Network. The internet was very good and I was able to stream Netflix. My husband even brought his sirius radio and was able to receive a signal out the master bedroom patio. We had a pleasant woman named Pauline who came in to tidy up every other day. This condo is located in a small gated community with about a dozen buildings surrounding a pool and common square area that has a half dozen very good open air restaurants and a well stocked grocery/liquor store with excellent prices on high end vodka. You will find fresh fruits and vegetables and many american brands. They are literally steps from your door. The square also appears to be dog friendly. The pool was never crowded so you dont have to play the towel game. It has a sloped entrance on one end that makes it perfect for small children. You will also find 6 beach towels in your unit. There is a couple beaches across the street with chair and umbrella rental, one was clothing optional and the other is supposed to be the opposite but I saw some nude people there also. The stairs to this beach look a little scary. There are plenty of beaches with 5 minutes away, sadly the unit does not have any beach chairs so you may be limited to certain beaches if you prefer a chair. It is possible to wave down a public bus or taxi in the round a bout outside the gate, taxis are expensive and there is no schedule for the bus. You may have to wait 15-20 minutes in the hot sun to flag one down. I would recommend a car which the management will arrange to deliver for you. They gave me an immediate response to a small problem with the safe and are very helpful. They even have a small cellphone for local use in the unit, This is a lovely unit right next to the French border and I would recommend it and stay there again!"

  • Christmas break 2016

"We (parents, 8yr kid and a grandma) spent 10 dreamy days at the villa. You cannot beat this location - it's directly on a very nice beach (with no traffic at all! barely a dozen people passed by in 10 days). Villa is everything as described and more, all details are looked after - from all you need for the beach to recommendations for local restaurants and travel!), it is VERY clean and well maintained, honestly we cannot recommend it enough! You can stay in and cook, you can walk to Patisserie for out of this world pastries or nearby restaurants. We would recommend renting a car as there is enough to see on the island every day of your stay. As to the logistics - we worked with Jill prior to arrival - she is phenomenal and responds to all your asks right away! Gordon (the property manager) is available to answer your calls at any time (and boy did it come in handy when we got stuck in the airport and both Gordon and Jill were in constant communication with us late into the evening!!!!! We appreciate your help so very much!). This is a very popular villa for bookings (for so many different reasons!) - we highly recommend it! One note for the future travelers - internet connection is spotty at times (in many areas of the island including this villa), in the event you do need to be connected to work or for other reasons, but it did not have an impact on our stay at all. Looking forward to coming back for some R&R in the future! :) Thanks again, Jill and Gordon!"

  • Perfect

"My husband and I met and fell in love with each other on the beach below this condo in 1988. We also fell in love with the island and its people. Eris, the woman that takes care of the condo, reminds us why we love this island and it's people, why we chose to live here for many years, and why after leaving we still keep coming back The condo is clean, equipped, has beautiful sunset views, and is in a great location. We will be back. Maybe for good."
