  • Fabulous Beach View

"The condo was exactly as depicted in the photo. The studio was spacious, air conditioned with a large king sized bed, clean linen & sheets. The bathroom and shower was clean and well maintained with good water pressure. Bring your own washcloth if needed as those were not provided as the owner reminded us in his email. The exterior of the property is in need of paint and some maintenance but the view, location of Orient Beach and interior of the property was well worth it's lack of exterior appeal. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen for preparing your own meals if you wanted however we chose to eat at the fantastic restaurants located minutes away in Grand Case. Grocery stores are located around the island but you will need a car. We dined at Bistrot Caraibes which is owned by Amaury and his brother and enjoyed an excellent meal there. We also had a great time dancing to live reggae music at Blue Martini after dinner one night! We enjoyed having coffee and croissants on our balcony every morning listening to the sound of the ocean and planning our day. In the evening we enjoyed a glass of wine outside before going to dinner. We also loved that we could walk down to the beach from the condo. Be aware that there are a lot of steep hills and steps on this property so if you have physical limitations it may be difficult to navigate. Amaury is friendly, gives great directions and is available if you should need his assistance. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and hope to return. We usually stay on the Dutch side but I can say I have fallen in love with the French side as well. You may want to consider renting a phone as our phones didn't work on the island and there is no phone in the unit. ."

  • Couldn't Have Chosen a Better Place

"We rented this villa for our family of 4, including our teen son and daughter, This was our first visit to St. Maarten, so we were nervous about every decision we made. Many times during our 10 day stay, we talked about how lucky we were to have picked the right place in the right location. Bruno and Patricia were absolutely lovely and very responsive, making themselves available to answer any questions. They met us when we arrived and the place was immaculate and just as beautiful as the pictures. It was very hot weather while we were there, but if the ceiling fan circulating the air wasn't enough to cool us (which it usually was), there were air conditioners in every room, including the living room. There was a nice washing machine and a clothesline in the backyard as well as a fold-away rack, so laundry was easy. The kitchen was well-equipped, including a few spices. Wi-fi worked well and we watched Netflix more late evenings than I'd like to admit. There was also a safe, where we stashed our passports and any cash or credit cards we didn't need. We spent quite a bit of time around the lovely salt water pool (so much better than chlorine), which they cleaned once during our stay, although it didn't really need it. It was even more beautiful at night! Orient Beach was a short walk away - maybe 5-10 minutes - so it was nice to come and go individually if we weren't all in the mood to be at the beach or to drive elsewhere. And there was a small grocery store along the way, where they were always nice, despite how pitiful our attempts at French were. (We became addicted to the fresh baguettes available there every day.) Looking at the pictures again, I'm reminded that after 10 days on the island, this relaxing villa was the hardest thing to leave behind!"

  • Wonderful and relaxing place to stay!!!

"Mary's Boon is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and be able to walk to the beach in 2 mins or less. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and alway's answered my many questions right away. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff was very accommodating and extremely nice. The beach is beautiful and we liked that the chairs and umbrella's were complimentary. We had all the amenities of the hotel even though the villa is privately owned. Our favorite thing to do was to get our coffee, walk out our door and onto the beach for a long walk. Normally we stay across the bay and go to a different beach each day since we really don't like the beach they have, but not here. We only left to go to a different beach on 2 days because we loved this beach so much. The planes were a bit loud the first day but after that you really don't pay attention to them unless it's the KLM 747 taking off. Then you just have to watch!! Lots of restaurants and night life in Simpson's Bay and Karakters restaurant is a walk down the beach. With the new causeway it was less than 10 minutes to Marigot or 20 to Grand Case. We went to Grand Case for Carnival Night on Tuesday and ate at LeTastivan. Excellent service and delicious food. They close off the street that night for vendors, dancers and music. A must if you come to the island. I would definitely recommend Mary's Boon to anyone that loves to relax and enjoy the beach!"
