  • A fabulous property in Antigua, Amanda Neal terrific Host/Owner

"My wife and two boys 12 and 15 stayed at Villa Azura for a week in the off season, (June 2016). This property is positioned north on a peninsula tip facing Long Bay. This is the windward side of the island and there is a constant breeze from the East. This differs greatly from the leeward side of the island which we dont like. The wind and the constant crashing of the waves is comfortable and soothing. The view is unobstructed ocean with waves. The home is fabulous. Adobe design, simple, and well laid out. It is well maintained and we had no maintenance troubles. There is a gardener/handyman to help with any problem if it were to arise and when there was a storm with a power outage, he phoned to make sure the generator had started properly. It had and I didn't even know the power had gone out! Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom with a really cool private outdoor garden shower. Each bedroom has perfect ocean views. We spent most of our time on the deck surrounding the pool. There is a covered patio portion with seating and a usual uncovered pool deck with loungers. The dining area is outdoors in the covered patio portion facing a manicured and landscaped garden that is beautiful. The house is not airconditioned but the beds are. My pet peeve in the caribbean is cool dry sleeping after a long hot wet and sticky day. I was unfamiliar with these beds prior to our trip but they work great. They allow you to have a cool air conditioned breeze on you while having all the doors and windows open to the sounds. The breeze through the open house during the day kept it unusually cool and comfortable, no need for anything else. The housekeeper Mitzie came daily to tidy up, make the beds and washed and folded our daily laundry. She was terrific. One highlight our luxurious living at Azura was having Norma take care of our food needs. She works at a local Private Club (mill reef club) usually but was able to take care of us as well in the off season. She provisioned the house prior to our arrival. She came around 7:30AM, cooked breakfast, cleaned up, discussed dinner plans and menu choices then returned at 6:30PM to cook, serve and clean up. Fare was usual caribbean, seafood, chicken, and local. My wife's menu was vegetarian and perfect for her. Activities: Indigo Divers, Cool Cat for private day sail, snorkel and lunch, Antigua rainforest zip line. Car rental a must: TiTi in english harbor has good vehicles. Overall spectacular stay"

  • Perfection........

"Hi Jon, I’m sorry that we did not have more time to chat as we were a bit rushed getting out.  I wish I knew earlier that our flight was delayed!!! I just wanted to let you know what an incredible time we had at Limeberry Villa.  The place is fantastic!!!!  The accommodations were everything that we could have hoped for… and more.  The views of Long Bay and Smugglers Cove below and Jost Van Dyke off in the distance are second to none!  Coffee in the morning never tasted so good as I sat and enjoyed the view and watched the islands come alive as the sun rose over Tortola.  And the “Happy Hour” sunsets….WOW!!!  Words cannot describe it!!! I also wanted to thank you for your assistance in transporting our group back and forth to West End upon our arrival and departure.  It saved me some extra trips over “the hill” and allowed our arrival and departure to not be so rushed.  It was GREATLY appreciated!!!  We are hoping to get back in the Spring with some friends who have been “itching” to get back and a couple “newbies”.  Hopefully Limeberry will be available when we work out the dates.  We would LOVE to make Limeberry our “go to” Villa as we always like to stay a few days on Tortola post sailing.  Thanks again for everything and hopefully we will be seeing you again in 2017!!! Cheers! Mark"

  • Family get together

"This is a place to get away, enjoy the clean air, wonderful breeze, beautiful sunsets, excitement above and below the ocean surface, great accommodations, reasonable prices. Need a car to go to beaches nearby. Did not go to restaurants because we enjoy home cooking. But heard they were expensive and slow. Not a place for partying or young people looking for excitement, although half of the people we saw staying there were young, and were enjoying it. We are not divers, but enjoy the place because it was perfect for a get together with family. The accommodations were excellent and have no complaints. A very small incident happened when we arrived and there were people in the unit we were supposed to be staying. But we went to see the manager and he put us in the next unit. It would have been a problem if we had arrived late at night, but we arrived mid day. I recommend this place specially for the quietness, beautiful view, constant breeze, and comfortable accommodations. We are likely to go back to it."
