"We stayed for two weeks in this studio.Everthing was exactly as advertised. The mangers met us at the arranged time. They helped us with our luggage etc.The unit was very modern and spotlessly clean. The studio had absolutely every thing we required for a wonderful stay including a very comfortable bed.The view was great as it is a ocean view with a clear view of the ocean.Pool was exceptionally clean. The internet worked flawlessly. A-C and all other appliances worked great. We would highly recommend this studio to anyone. A car is handy to go shopping spree there is nothing within walking distance. All communications with the owner where very timely. Our Deposit was returned on the morning of departure .We will return here again."

  • Beyond Our Expectations!!

"We booked this spectacular penthouse for our family vacation. We've been to St. Maarten several times and love vacationing there. This was by far our favorite accommodation. The location on the island is perfect. You can walk to so many fabulous restaurants and of course the water is just steps from your door. We walked to Karakter beach every day and paddle boarded right from the beach in front of the condo. With the pool onsite it was very convenient to cool off there too. With 3 adult couples the condo was the perfect size and layout. All of us had plenty of privacy or could hang out together on the spacious balcony or great room. John and Sharon quickly replied to all or our questions prior to our trip. During our trip the iron would not work and we contacted the on island manager and a new iron was brought to us the following day. There was everything we could have asked for in the condo. I would return to this amazing property in a heartbeat. In fact, my husband is trying to figure out how to move there full-time."

  • Nothing like this Beauty

"if you're thinking twice...DONT....trust me, you will not be disappointed. PROS: The view was absolutely breathtaking. The house was beautiful, everything was so unique. The master bedroom has a twin bed, which was very comfortable for our 12 year old. Each room has air conditioning. The market surprisingly had a lot of the foods and snacks that we love and it's about 5 minutes away. There are also some absolutely delicious restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner that are less than 5 minutes away, driving. Bruno and Corrine are such hard workers and were such a delight. My travel party included my 12 year old, husband, 2 of our best friends and my mom. It was just perfect. Bring your own snorkel gear as there is a ladder that leads to the sea and there is plenty to see. You will catch cruise ships coming and going. At night, the stars look amazing. Lizards and Iguanas for your viewing pleasure throughout the property. CONS: Mosquitoes were quite prevalent. We spent a lot of money purchasing mosquito repellent but I guess the mosquitoes loved me. I was bit at least 40 times. Thankfully, my daughter didn't get bit, probably because she stayed in the pool. My husband only got bit a few times. SUMMARY: All in all, I would stay here again, no question. La Calanthe is very Tranquil, peaceful, clean and absolutely stunning. I recommend a rental car. We've traveled to many places and often do not rent cars and rely on cabs, however, if we had taken a cab everywhere, we would have spent a ridiculous amount of money. Seriously, if you don't rent a car, you should probably plan on staying in your home or resort. The directions to get around are very easy, Surprisingly. Very Private! I can't wait to go back."

  • Up Up and Away Bombay and St. Marteen

"I arrived in SXM with an SUV awaiting, drove to the penthouse, parked, took the elevator to the fourth floor and entered a beautifully appointed hallway, dropped my luggage in my room, and promptly took a shower. Great water pressure, that’s a must. After the shower I crawled into bed, adjusted the remote A/C and instantly fell asleep. I awoke from a sound sleep, fab mattress, uber soft sheets, and proceeded to the kitchen to prepare my morning tea. I ventured onto the private penthouse balcony and slipped into a comfy lounge chair, sipped my cup of tea with the company of serenity, solitude, and the rhythmic sound of the ocean waves that reached the private beach below. The penthouse is on the fourth floor with a view to kill. Not only does it have three bedrooms and two and a half baths; one is located in the master suite, the second shared by the other bedrooms, and the half bath which is conveniently set off of the main living space. Additionally, the master suite has its’ own private balcony. Balcony number two can be shared by all, especially at sunset. The kitchen is appointed with the needs to prepare fine dining. The owners have a liquor cabinet and they only ask that you replace what you’ve enjoyed. I left you some Bombay. Ah, but you have finished your book and it’s time to plan some meals. Local grocery stores, both French and Dutch are gloriously stocked. My personal favorites are Carrefour (Dutch side) and Simply Markets (French Side). But you also have the option to order groceries online at Stop N Drop Grocery SXM and they deliver, WOW! The penthouse owners will arrange a rental car for your convenience of travel around the island during your stay. A driving tour is a must. When you dine out choose Sarafina’s for breakfast, Rosemary’s for lunch, and for dinner Le Delight Bistro. At the Bistro you can order tapas for dinner and enjoy a variety. My first time eating escargot and now I have another vice. Swimming in the ocean @ your choice of 37 beaches is a must! The water temperature at the end of May is perfect. Venture on the road behind the Westin at Dawn Beach to see monkeys in the wild. Keep your windows up and beware of the treacherous road surface, SUVs only please. Then return to the penthouse, relax, watch TV, DVDs, listen to music, explore the art throughout the penthouse, and end your day on the balcony , where we started, with a Bombay and Tonic. Up Up and away, Bombay🌞"
