  • Relaxing and peaceful property

"We were here March 2016. Group of 4 adults. 1st time not using an all inclusive resort. Large 2 bedroom + loft unit. Very spacious, clean, and unbelievably quiet. We couldn't believe how the only sounds we heard were the waves of the ocean. View from 2nd floor balcony was beautiful. Even though there is a parking lot in between the condo and the beach, you can't see it through the landscaping and it isn't used at night. The view from the bedrooms balconies were of the mountains and the surrounding village. All of us thought the beds were incredible! Clean. The unit had all we needed and the manager Julie answered all our questions quickly and effectively. We asked for a BBQ and she got one. The loft would only be good for children as it is open concept into the living room / kitchen area so sleeping in the a.m. would be difficult if that was a need. We had a cleaning lady come in once and she did a great job. We wish we had more towels in between the once visit. There is a washing machine but we didn't end up using it. Parking included. Building is very safe and is locked on all sides. We wish we had been given 4 keys instead of 2 as difficult when we were going back and forth to the beach at different times but not a huge deal. The pool is small and walled in without a view. You would never use it during the day as there is no wind and the area gets very hot. We used it at the end of the day for a cool off. The beach is beautiful (with the exception of some minor seaweed but we know that this is common throughout most if not all the Caribbean right now). It's in a relatively quiet area of the Orient Beach scene but a close walk if you need more action and about 15 minute walk to the nude beach (which is calmer as its in a bay). We weren't happy with the service at Waikiki Beach which provided the chairs/umbrellas as part of the condo deal. They NEVER came and asked us for service (drinks or food). They would only serve the customers of Waikiki and we weren't allowed to sit in the more comfortable chairs. They would take the umbrellas away at 3:30/4:00 if the cruise customers had left as they wanted to go home. The bathrooms at Waikiki were gross!!!! We saw staff using the chair sheds to have sex with tourists! Thank goodness we were a short walk to our condo. Night life is quiet. A short walk to the Village - pricey but good. They take US dollars at par at most places which was good for us instead of Euro. Highly recommend Princess Eden unit!"

  • Wonderful and relaxing place to stay!!!

"Mary's Boon is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and be able to walk to the beach in 2 mins or less. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and alway's answered my many questions right away. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff was very accommodating and extremely nice. The beach is beautiful and we liked that the chairs and umbrella's were complimentary. We had all the amenities of the hotel even though the villa is privately owned. Our favorite thing to do was to get our coffee, walk out our door and onto the beach for a long walk. Normally we stay across the bay and go to a different beach each day since we really don't like the beach they have, but not here. We only left to go to a different beach on 2 days because we loved this beach so much. The planes were a bit loud the first day but after that you really don't pay attention to them unless it's the KLM 747 taking off. Then you just have to watch!! Lots of restaurants and night life in Simpson's Bay and Karakters restaurant is a walk down the beach. With the new causeway it was less than 10 minutes to Marigot or 20 to Grand Case. We went to Grand Case for Carnival Night on Tuesday and ate at LeTastivan. Excellent service and delicious food. They close off the street that night for vendors, dancers and music. A must if you come to the island. I would definitely recommend Mary's Boon to anyone that loves to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Absolutely Wonderful!

"I honestly cannot say enough about what a fantastic time we had in St. Maarten. We love this villa and will definitely return! My husband and I came here for our annual adult escape and the property was perfect, the location is perfect, you can walk to the beach, bars, restaurants and the local store if you need anything small. We rented a jeep and explored the island every day. The people we met were so friendly too! When we arrived, the villa was clean, the pool was clear and Jill arrived with a welcome gift for us. Gordon was so nice to stop by and walk through everything, and gave us tips on places to go. Jill was excellent with helping us make all of the arrangements, thank you again! Next time we will return with friends! I highly recommend Captain Neil with the Celine Too, any of his trips will not disappoint. We ate all over the island, loved Orient Beach and Great Bay Beach. A few of the places we went to: Buccaneer Beach Bar, Greenhouse, Café Atlantico, St. Maarten Yacht Club, The Sky's the Limit, Skipjacks, Pineapple Petes, Dinghy Dock (drinks), Busby's Beach Bar, Calmos, Sunset Beach Bar, and Taloula Mangos! Definitely try the lobster at Skipjacks, and the Guavaberry Coladas at Sunset Beach Bar and Taloula Mangos. The food was excellent, the service was much slower but that is expected in the islands. Also, the dive master who lives below is extremely quiet, we rarely knew he was around. The cleaning lady was so nice to come in midweek to clean up and the pool man was also very friendly! Take the time to enjoy this amazing island, visit as many beaches as you can! We didn't like Mullet Bay Beach, but that was just us. Found it too quiet, and didn't like sliding down the sand to get to the water, but it was very popular for families. We truly had no major issues, loved running around all day and coming back to this beautiful villa. Stay away from the time share scams, they will just waste your time and believe me nothing is free! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, we will definitely be back and will recommend this to our friends! I am not sure about staying here with kids (ours would need a hotel with other kids and activities) but the room for the kids is fabulous and the pool is excellent!"
