  • Couldn't Have Chosen a Better Place

"We rented this villa for our family of 4, including our teen son and daughter, This was our first visit to St. Maarten, so we were nervous about every decision we made. Many times during our 10 day stay, we talked about how lucky we were to have picked the right place in the right location. Bruno and Patricia were absolutely lovely and very responsive, making themselves available to answer any questions. They met us when we arrived and the place was immaculate and just as beautiful as the pictures. It was very hot weather while we were there, but if the ceiling fan circulating the air wasn't enough to cool us (which it usually was), there were air conditioners in every room, including the living room. There was a nice washing machine and a clothesline in the backyard as well as a fold-away rack, so laundry was easy. The kitchen was well-equipped, including a few spices. Wi-fi worked well and we watched Netflix more late evenings than I'd like to admit. There was also a safe, where we stashed our passports and any cash or credit cards we didn't need. We spent quite a bit of time around the lovely salt water pool (so much better than chlorine), which they cleaned once during our stay, although it didn't really need it. It was even more beautiful at night! Orient Beach was a short walk away - maybe 5-10 minutes - so it was nice to come and go individually if we weren't all in the mood to be at the beach or to drive elsewhere. And there was a small grocery store along the way, where they were always nice, despite how pitiful our attempts at French were. (We became addicted to the fresh baguettes available there every day.) Looking at the pictures again, I'm reminded that after 10 days on the island, this relaxing villa was the hardest thing to leave behind!"

  • Wonderful and relaxing place to stay!!!

"Mary's Boon is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and be able to walk to the beach in 2 mins or less. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and alway's answered my many questions right away. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff was very accommodating and extremely nice. The beach is beautiful and we liked that the chairs and umbrella's were complimentary. We had all the amenities of the hotel even though the villa is privately owned. Our favorite thing to do was to get our coffee, walk out our door and onto the beach for a long walk. Normally we stay across the bay and go to a different beach each day since we really don't like the beach they have, but not here. We only left to go to a different beach on 2 days because we loved this beach so much. The planes were a bit loud the first day but after that you really don't pay attention to them unless it's the KLM 747 taking off. Then you just have to watch!! Lots of restaurants and night life in Simpson's Bay and Karakters restaurant is a walk down the beach. With the new causeway it was less than 10 minutes to Marigot or 20 to Grand Case. We went to Grand Case for Carnival Night on Tuesday and ate at LeTastivan. Excellent service and delicious food. They close off the street that night for vendors, dancers and music. A must if you come to the island. I would definitely recommend Mary's Boon to anyone that loves to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Amazing

"Our stay at Villa Suzanne was Wonderful! It was a surprise for my husband's birthday to be going to St. Martin & then meeting our friends in Atlanta to bring them with us was the topping. The house was everything it was in the pictures and more! Sitting at the table by the pool and looking out at the ocean/ beach/ boats every day was everything a vacation should be, and the sounds of the surf totally soothed your soul. Our friends spend a lot of time on beach vacations, staying in condos, etc. and were totally impressed with how well-appointed the kitchen was, because we all love to cook. We ate in about half of the nights and every breakfast and found everything we needed to prepare delicious meals. We felt like part of the rich and famous, staying at such a luxurious home. Clair and Homere were great and we really appreciated their services. We can't say enough good things about St. Martin, either. Everyone was very friendly, we never met anyone less than that. The food we ate out was amazing. I had curried goat and oxtail stew for lunch (both because I couldn't decide, so the waitress brought me 1/2 order of each) in Marigot at a sidewalk cafe. We ate at Busbys/ Daniels the first night which set the tone for excellent meals to follow. Had lunch there and then Van's birthday dinner at Big Fish which was fabulous. Shopping at Carrefour was a great experience--wish we had stores like that here: fresh whole fish, great vegetables, hard to find ingredients, but even the tiny local stores were good. The wine selection and price was amazing, the cheeses were excellent and we had fresh baguettes every day. The villa was so lovely and special that some nights we stayed at home and just had shrimp and salad with cheese and baguettes and wine for dinner. Perfect. It's easy to get around in St. Martin and we explored everywhere. Dawn Beach is just a walk down the road and is beautiful. Orient Beach, Grand Case and Friar's Beach are also wonderful. We checked when there were no cruise ships in town so we could visit Phillipsburg without dealing with crowds. The total ambiance of the house and the island made this one of our more memorable vacations. Thank you both for sharing such a wonderful place as Villa Suzanne. We would tell anyone going to St. Martin to stay there--it doesn't get any better than that."
