  • Wonderful and relaxing place to stay!!!

"Mary's Boon is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and be able to walk to the beach in 2 mins or less. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and alway's answered my many questions right away. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff was very accommodating and extremely nice. The beach is beautiful and we liked that the chairs and umbrella's were complimentary. We had all the amenities of the hotel even though the villa is privately owned. Our favorite thing to do was to get our coffee, walk out our door and onto the beach for a long walk. Normally we stay across the bay and go to a different beach each day since we really don't like the beach they have, but not here. We only left to go to a different beach on 2 days because we loved this beach so much. The planes were a bit loud the first day but after that you really don't pay attention to them unless it's the KLM 747 taking off. Then you just have to watch!! Lots of restaurants and night life in Simpson's Bay and Karakters restaurant is a walk down the beach. With the new causeway it was less than 10 minutes to Marigot or 20 to Grand Case. We went to Grand Case for Carnival Night on Tuesday and ate at LeTastivan. Excellent service and delicious food. They close off the street that night for vendors, dancers and music. A must if you come to the island. I would definitely recommend Mary's Boon to anyone that loves to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Honeymoon in Tortola

"We had such a phenomenal honeymoon in Tortola. The house was private and the view was phenomenal. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, grilling out, the pool, the XM radio, and the Wi-Fi to stay connected to the world. Everything you need is at the house, so if you want to stay in you can. It is also close to other islands so if you want to explore you can. We went to Jost Van Dyke (Foxy's and the Bubbly Pool), Virgin Gorda (the Baths and the view from Hog Heaven), and St. John (Woody's, Sam and Jack's Deli for food and Cinnamon Bay for the beach). Road Town (10 minutes) is very close for groceries and anything you may have forgotten. John is such a gracious host and gives you great details on places to go and how to get there. We can't wait to get back!"

  • PERF family vaycay

"Angela's condo was the perfect location for our family of 5 with 3 young adults. The description and photos are correct. She has lovely taste and provides the amenities you would have at a resort: bathrobes, soaps, pool towels, etc. It is spacious and well appointed allowing the 17 year old to have his own space, for once, while the 20 something girls could juggle working remotely with pool, beach and adventure activities. Ana, the housekeeper, made it all work! It took some organizing with regard to planning and food shopping but allowed us to eat-in for most meals. Admittedly I was a bit hesitant about wiring money off as payment but Angela graciously allowed me to contact 2 former renters and they provided the assurances we needed. The location is remote relative to restaurants and even a coffee shop so you need a car. There is a restaurant on property but we never tried it. The beach has a barrier coral wall so it is not open water for swimming- more like a small pond. You can drive to the adjacent beach to get to the open water. Angela helped us arrange a day excursion to PlayaTao and golf and her on- property assistant set us up with ScapePark for zip lining and a hike and dinner reservations. They were all very accommodating and helpful. It was voted the BEST vaycay and my family preferred it to a resort - they liked the flexibility and freedom. As noted by other reviewers, this is not a 'hip and happening' location. That was appealing to us but might not work for others based on the ages of the children. There were a few other people at the pool but mostly it is quiet. The pool staff was very pleasant. Thanks to Angela and Ana who made this a vaycay to top the charts."

  • Fantastic. Everything described is there and more.

"We celebrated our 50th anniversary at this villa with our 14 member strong kids and grandkids. We were totally delighted and satisfied. Having the three staff members around 7 days a week is very nice. Nobody in the group had to do anything, but enjoy life. For any large group that wants to visit the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, this villa is heaven."
