  • Friendly hosts, great value

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay at Ocean View Suites in the heart of Luquillo! The owners, Alex and Richelle, were friendly, responsive and very very helpful in terms of accommodating our schedule and giving advice about local attractions, restaurants, etc. This second-floor unit is in an older building located on Luquillo's main plaza, right next to La Pared beach. This is a nice, basic rental property. The 3 suites available on this property are all arranged around a central lobby and shared kitchen. All areas are squeaky clean and very well maintained. The balcony wraps around so you can see the ocean, plaza and a view of the rainforest from the second floor. When we were there, the breeze from the ocean meant there were no bugs, but had there been, there is AC in the units and screens on windows. Beach chairs and plenty of beach towels are part of the deal - very useful! A few things you should know that may be factors for you - though they were not for us: * There are three levels of security (locks, etc.) for your room, but this rental is NOT located in a "gated" or security community. It's right downtown. We felt very safe here, but know this is a consideration for others. Parking is on street (we had no problems finding space) or in the lot across the street. * This unit is on Luquillo's main plaza - fun for drinking coffee on the balcony and watching school kids head to school across the plaza, but less fun if people are driving through the plaza at night with the requisite LOUD radio. With doors shut and AC on, this was not a problem for us. * Water pressure in the unit was variable when we were there; we think this was more about a municipal water issue than any problem with the unit itself. The ENTIRE 3-unit space would be great for an extended family to share, something we are considering for future visits to the area."

  • Lovely Home and Would Highly Recommend

"We have stayed in many VRBO's, AirBNB's, hotels around the world. This particular home was just a delight to stay in. The home itself was beautifully furnished, the open living room/ dining area/ relaxing sitting areas with the large wide open view of the golf course was wonderful! They had taken great care to make sure every bathroom was well equipped with towels and soaps and pitchers of clean water waiting for when we needed them, the pool was wonderful mainly because there were plenty of comfortable chairs to lay on and it was private and open to the night sky (don't miss the stars at night while swimming in the private pool). The kitchen was also well equipped with more than I have seen anywhere and Ruth, who works there, was always so pleasant and helpful. We took advantage of Ruth's wonderful cooking by paying extra to have her make us lunch and dinner as well each day and we purposely brought only Dominican food for meals because that is what I wanted her to make. When in the DR, we eat as the Doninicans eat and the food is always so good and Ruth did not disappoint. We had the advantage of having a local pastor with us to help us shop for all the right ingredients to make sure we didn't forget anything for Ruth. We rented a golf cart for every day there and the beach is only a 10 minute ride away. The only thing I would forewarn anyone about and this is not just for this house but all houses rented in Caso de Campo, is there a small additional fee per day that the resort makes you pay when you go to the main desk to sign in. There is really no way around it so just plan on it and it's not the end of the world. The resort itself is truly beautiful and we also ate dinner the first night when we got in later at the restaurant at the main hotel and it was wonderful as well. Worth the money and no different in price than eating in any major city for sure. Also, Mike is incredibly helpful and always got back to me promptly and was really great to work with before arriving. I would highly recommend this home to anyone!"

  • Great Location, Clean, Quiet & Secure!

"Our stay at Aurea's Condo was fantastic! We were a family of eight (8) with two (2) kids and everybody had a great time. The Condo was well equipped with everything that you need including beach gear for adults and kids. Great location if you are planning on enjoying Seven Seas Beach. The beach is just across the street but secure enough to enjoy your privacy inside the Condo's ground. The property pool is small but clean and with plenty of space and beach chairs to enjoy the sun. Walking distance to Las Croabas Restaurants where you can enjoy great sea food at reasonable prices. We will definitely return and highly recommend Palma Vista!"
