  • Beautiful, stunning, awesome place to relax!

"Marilyn and Rich - your home is absolutely beautiful! Our family had the most relaxing and perfect vacation! The house was wonderfully equipped and had all the amenities one may need, from cooking on the grill to preparing morning breakfast! We loved the lazy days by the pool and the constant Tradewind breezes. Nights were star filled while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you for sharing your house - we could not of had a more perfect vacation! Beth and Greg Altemus"

  • Wonderful cottage!

"Beachwalk Cottage is absolutely awesome. We recently stayed for a week in May and could not have be more pleased with our choice of rental homes. Colorful, bright and vibrant, Beachwalk Cottage has plenty of living space and the bedrooms are roomy. Although we only ate in a couple times, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The dining room table and the cool bar provided ample seating. Perfect location in the settlement near everything that is Guana. Nippers, Grabbers, Dive Guana, Grocery store, Kidds Cover, main dock etc. are all within a few steps of the cottage. And it sits directly on Chere B Lane which is only a few steps to one of the best beaches in the Abacos. World class snorkeling is right off the beach and the house even had some snorkeling gear to use until we got our rentals at Dive Guana! The screened front porch is perfect for morning coffee and watching the locals and other vacationers pass by on their merry way. The people and visitors of Guana Cay are some of the friendliest you will ever meet and the front porch is a good place to interact or just people watch. There are even a couple very nice local cats who stopped by everyday for a taste of tuna purchased from the little convenience store around the corner. The owners and caretakers are very nice and easy to deal with and are very responsive. Plenty of beach towels so don't load down your suitcases! Beachwalk Cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to experience the best of Guana Cay."

  • Two couples getaway

"We shared this beautiful condo with another couple and had lots of room. Location of this condo is perfect - close to Grand Case, Marigot et. Even with one toilet the layout worked well. Toilet and sink in one room and shower, two sinks & clothes washer in another room. Martine was very helpful. More than once she emailed asking of we needed anything and to be sure to contact her if we had any questions. The only issue we had was no washroom at the pool. Our plane was 1 1/2 hours late so we didn't arrive at Mount Vernon until late in the evening and was very pleased to see Martine standing there waiting for us. Apparently not all owners are there when you arrive. She went as far as helping us carry our bags up to the condo. Martine and Christian are a lovely couple. We will definitely return to this condo."

  • Perfect for a quiet, restful getaway - so glad we found it!

"This property is exactly as advertised: a charmingly furnished, well-equipped condo right on the beach, in a quiet, peaceful setting. It has practically everything you could want, including books, games, a cellphone, a 5-gallon jug of water, ceiling fans in every room AND the porch, and a TV with plenty of channels. Tammey sent us multiple e-mails with all kinds of information on what to see and do. It was incredibly quiet during our stay--at most we heard a few voices at the pool and just a bit of music from the Tuesday night barbecue next door. That barbecue is at Kaibo, a really good beach restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and a few light breakfast items that's literally right next door--couldn't be more convenient or fun! We thought the highlight of the unit is the screened porch right on the beach. We spent hours out there enjoying the lovely view, especially at sunset. We also liked being able to walk to Starfish Point (tip: we saw more starfish along the beach near our condo than at Starfish Point--just keep walking past Kaibo and you'll see them). Rum Point is a 3-minute drive away, or you could easily bike there. While we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit, this condo isn't for everyone. You're a 45-60 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife, and tourist attractions of George Town, Seven Mile Beach, and West End. If you're from the U.S. or Canada, driving a car with controls on the right side down the left side of the road requires extra vigilance. And if your idea of a vacation is not cooking, there are just four restaurants and one convenience store within a 15-minute drive. Tammey suggests stopping at a supermarket on your drive from the airport (or, for a fee, having Barbara do the shopping for you) and packing what food you can in your luggage (everything is pricier in the Caymans). We strongly agree. While this is beachfront property, it's not oceanfront. The unit is on a cove within Little Sound, which is off North Sound. So, while the water is clear, it's as still as a lagoon, there's a lot of seaweed, and the sand is sometimes coarse. Lovely to look at, but not the best for wading or swimming. This didn't bother us at all--there's a pool and whirlpool just steps away, and Starfish Point and Rum Point both have some seaweed-free spots. We're so glad we found this place, and we can't wait to go back!"
