  • You will never top this place

"Hummingbird house is in a perfect location with excellent views out to st Kitts. The house itself is wonderful - very spacious and light with all mod cons, not to mention also beautifully furnished. The outside space has a lovely decked area with pool and bbq, which was perfect when chilling out watching the monkeys in the trees. Richard and Claire were excellent hosts, recommending once in a lifetime hidden gems to visit and advising the best times to book certain restaurants and trips. Their advice really meant we could make the most out of our holiday as we felt seasoned visitors before even leaving the house and would have missed out on the many unique and amazing experiences Nevis has to offer without them. They really made us feel welcome and that hummingbird was to be used as a home from home - if only our house was as special as Hummingbird! Nevis itself is a beautiful and completely unique place. The island is full of character and served up some of the best food we have ever experienced. Wash it down with a rum punch or Carib beer...it was simply perfect! We can't wait to visit again, although staying anywhere else wouldn't be an option."

  • The stay at Island Paradise was very good.

"The condo met our expectations and needs. Comfortable and basically had what we needed. We were there with our son and granddaughter and the location to the pool from the condo #15C was excellent. Quite but could hear the waves coming in and being able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops along with the convenience store "Ram's" was great. We did have a car, but if not being able to walk was wonderful. Office personnel very helpful and having laundry facilities at the resort was nice. Our suggestion was to maybe get a floor fan for the living area to move the air - less costly then another ceiling fan. The air was great at night for sleeping as well. The grounds were kept up very well. Retaining wall is replaced and the gazebo by the ocean is very relaxing. We will be back and hopefully will be able to rent this on our next trip. Thank you Sue for the condo and info on it. Thank you"

  • Wonderful vacation off the beaten path

"We spent 2 weeks at Villa Verandah on Nevis and it was a wonderful time. The island is quiet and safe, very few tourists. We went mostly to Paradise Beach and, on a stretch of beach of almost a mile, there were never more than 10 people. The villa is really nice, with a marvelous screened terrace. It truly deserves its name as the verandah goes all the way around on both levels. We had one child that spent some time watching TV but all the adults were outside all the time. The pool is very nice and large enough to swim. Several people showed up at various times and took care of the yard, pool and house. Very clean and well maintained overall. Transportation was also well coordinated - we were picked up at the airport by a taxi driver (plenty of taxis at the airport on St Kitts) and then, to the envy of several people waiting at the docks, were handed over to the water taxi that took us immediately to Oualie beach where our rental car was waiting. Overall a very pleasant experience."

  • Best Vacation Ever!

"We just spent a wonderful 8 day vacation in St. Kitts at Villa Alamandra, and what an awesome getaway from some cold weather in the U.S. My family consisted of 5 adults, and we found Alamandra to be the perfect villa for our group. The drive to town was very easy on great roads, and really was rarely needed, since we planned our grocery shopping list in detail for one major visit early in our stay. The best restaurants on St. Kitts are quite convenient to Turtle Beach and Alamandra. We loved the Pavilion Restaurant and Spice Mill Restaurant for fine dining, and highly recommend the Friday evening Lobster Fest at Reggae beach bar (all are only a 5-10 minute drive from the Villa). Lunch at Ottley's Plantation is not to be missed as well. Turtle Beach is a short walk, or very short drive, and it offers seclusion with good swimming opportunities. St. Kitts driving is not as challenging as some other Caribbean islands, once the art of driving on the "wrong" side is mastered. I highly recommend Villa Alamandra for the perfect Caribbean vacation."
