  • Fantastic villa

"We stayed for 2 weeks in July. (The third time for my husband and myself, this time we were joined by our two daughters and their boyfriends.) The villa is spotless, well-equipped, very comfortable and has the most amazing views. We spent most of our time on the spacious terrace, or in the pool. Turtle Beach is a stroll away, and Reggae Beach a 10-minute walk. Reggae Beach has plenty of water sports on offer as well as being is a great place to eat (especially the Friday evening Lobsterfest). Spice Mill restaurant and Salt Plage bar are a short drive away. Thank you Nick and Cathy - we hope to be back for our fourth visit very soon!"

  • Great place to get away from it all!

"Sealofts37 was a great place to get away for a very relaxing time. The place is comfortable and accurately depicted by the owner. Sue is very responsive to any and all queries. Her recommendations were on point and we loved them all! We especially loved hanging out at Shipwreck on Sunday. Great food ( Fish Tacos, to die for! and Cheesy Fries...yum!) and live band on Sunday afternoon. One of the things that I really liked was the close proximity to Rituals Coffee Shop ( ate there almost every morning), various restaurants and the grocery store all within a quick 2-3 min walk. The pool was right outside the condo and we enjoyed it every afternoon when we got back from our various adventures. Great place and thank you!!!"

  • Everything And Then Some

"My wife and I have visited multiple islands, and have rented multiple homes, throughout the Caribbean for 13 years. It has always been our goal to choose a new island, have a new experience, and visit a new home, each year. However, after spending a week at Hummingbird House, it is hard for us not to rebook this lovely home for our next Caribbean holiday. When we arrived and found the fridge to be stocked with everything we need to enjoy our first day on Nevis, we realized that Richard takes hosting his lovely home to another level. The picture postcard view you see herein from the pool of Hummingbird House (looking at St. Kitts) is exactly that...a picture postcard. The home's screened in porch is perfect for enjoying as many hours in nature as you like. Pool temperature was right on...poolside furniture was very comfortable...bedrooms were comfortable and quiet...and the kitchen was well appointed with any dishes or appliances you could want. Starting the day on the back porch (also screened in) in the company of hummingbirds and monkeys set the tone for many lovely days on Nevis. Some personal travel tips: 1) the manager of the Turtle Time restaurant can hook you up with a local fisherman (a gentleman from South Africa) who will sell you fresh wahoo and mahi mahi (perfect for grilling on Hummingbird House's fabulous gas grill) ; 2) to experience the wonderful hospitality offered to visitors of Nevis, go to the Water Dept. BBQ on Friday night (a short distance from the Ram's Supermarket in Charlestown). Even better, buy the chef's a beer...you will make new friends instantly; 3) a lunch and a hike around the beautiful gardens of Golden Rock Plantation will be another highlight of your trip to Nevis. 4) A day trip to Nisbet Plantation will be time well spent (home of the best rum punch, IMHO, on Nevis). Having had these wonderful experiences, we now understand why Richard owns this home on this island. Do yourself a favor and book a week at Hummingbird House...just don't take my week for next year! :-)"

  • Perfecto!!

"Excellento! Big Smile. Champ. It seems the most Nevisians have names other than their given name. So to does Butlers House - it is Perfecto! From the moment you drive up to the well-coiffed and manicured property and set foot on its terraced slopes, you will be enchanted. Both inside and out, the loving attention to detail that the owners instilled in the property is palpable. The lemon oil that the cleaning lady rubs on the mahogany furniture and the bougainvillea enliven it with fragrances and the sunshine and beautifully planned lights at night make it sparkle from sun up to sunset. The house is well appointed with quality amenities from linens, towels and kitchenware. It was easy to book and the property manager, Kay, was very helpful procuring a car rental and surely would have been a font of information if needed. I would recommend this authentic and lovingly restored property to anyone. We had 2 people (a couple) our first night and added another (adult child) for two subsequent nights. We comfortably slept 4 but you could sleep 5. We only wish we stayed longer but the place was booked so we only stayed 6 nights."
