"What a marvelous home!! So much room all through the house. Incredible view!! Each bedroom has its own French doors to the veranda. Plus the same off the kitchen and living area. How nice! Very comfortable beds. Maid service was great. The breeze coming in off the ocean was wonderful! Kitchen is FULLY equipped or lots of great restaurants close by or have the property manager bring in a private chef for a truly authentic island meal. The pool just across the driveway was ALL ours every day. Very close to the airport, beach with wind surfing lessons and the most fun little bars on the beach. Only a few minutes from the grocery store. Driving on the left side is a "hoot". Roof top star gazing was "out of this world". Can't wait to return!! Sooo relaxing!!"

"My family of 5 (children late teens/early 20s) had a fabulous Christmas and New Years stay at Mandoo. The house is exactly as you see in the photos. It might not be fancy, but it more than compensates with comfort, space and the most incredible location. The house is perfectly situated on the saddle of a peninsula with ocean views in both directions. The grounds are extensive so you feel unconstrained and relaxed. Rooms were spacious and had great views. Love the outdoor shower too. Kitchen is functional but if you are a Julia Childs you would be feeling constrained. Beds were comfortable. We did rent a car through Guys (they dropped it at the house) as we wanted the freedom to explore, but used Owen's taxi service to get to and from the airport (which was a good decision). Activities that we can highly recommend include: Jus Sail: private 1/2 day sailing on beautifully restored Carriacou Sloop Exodus: private motor boat charter for 1/2 day to take us down to Pitons Zip Lining: If you haven't done before, it's a great setting. Try to avoid the cruise ship crowd. Aquaholics Kite Surfing in Cas em Bas - what a rush, and fantastic setting Cas em Bas hiking with most stunning ocean views and secluded beaches Visit to Marigold bay Visit to Anse Couchon for snorkeling and/or scuba We also used Windjammer for beaching and walked down the cove from there to East Winds Inn beach as its more secluded. Weather was fantastic. Went to a lot of different restaurants and was impressed with quality of food for the Carribean. Mary Anne and Anthony were very helpful and unobtrusive. All in it was a great vacation. We feel extremely lucky that the Morgans have made their house available. It is quite the spot."

  • STUNNING views in a tropical, lush and casual setting! We would definitely rent again!

"The great: We had a fantastic visit to St Lucia and thoroughly enjoyed Soufriere in particular. Beautiful place, beautiful people – we will definitely be back. The views from this home are spectacular!!!! We spent a large percentage of our time just marveling at the majestic Pitons, enjoying sunsets and identifying the diversity of the plants, flowers and birds living on the property. The house is open-air and feels very tropical. We were serenaded to sleep by frogs at night and even enjoyed a few lovely rainstorms. There is no air conditioning at the house, but we were never too hot as there are nice winds and fans in every room. The furniture is comfortable as were the beds and bedding. Ann and Cheryl were very nice and the food they made for us was very good. It’s such a treat to go on vacation and let go of all the daily chores. Nancy was easy to deal with and answered all my questions. We arranged for Popo’s to drive us to/from the airport and to get around during our stay (he’d even drop us off and pick us up later) which was very nice. The not so good: The electrical was wonky and fried our baby monitor even though we were using a high-end convertor. We ended up only plugging things in when we could watch them and take them off if it got too hot. Many lights didn’t work and seemed to be wired incorrectly. This concerned me because the only way to lock up the house at night is to pad lock yourself in with a different key for each lock. I slept with the keys in my pillow and unplugged anything that seemed dangerous because I was worried about getting out quickly should there be a fire. The wi-fi was terrible because the router is broken - a simple, inexpensive fix. There isn’t enough furniture on the balconies and various outdoor spaces. The pool was extremely dirty and we had to clean it ourselves before we were able to use it. There were also several cigarette buts on the balcony - yuck. While this is a tropical, open home, there were a lot of bugs. We were fastidious in cleaning up food scraps, but we saw quite a few roaches. While it's not possible to avoid this entirely, it might be time for a visit from an exterminator. The ceiling fan in the MBR was very loud and wobbly - an easy fix. More towels in the bathrooms would also be nice. While many of these things are small and definitely wouldn’t prevent me from referring the house, a few easy fixes would make this property more in keeping with a “luxury” rental in this price point."

  • True Paradise

"We spent a Thursday - Monday at Nature's Paradise in Avocado Cottage to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We could not have picked a better place to call home. The view from the porch was absolutely amazing and peaceful. It was a great place to enjoy a cold drink after a day exploring the most beautiful island we have been to. Wanda has done an amazing job with the gardens. The sunsets from the pool were breath taking and romantic. The day we arrived another couple was also arriving, so David picked us up at the airport and gave us a little site seeing tour on the way to the our paradise. David and Wanda are soooo nice and hospitable. David is a wealth of information and will take care of everything for you - restaurant recommendations and reservations, tour recommendations, car rental, taxi drivers, etc. I would recommend taking David's Eco Adventure tour to Soufriere. Wanda does a great job with the gardens and prepares a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruits, breads and cheese each weekday. They make you feel you are part of their home. We felt so relaxed, it was a true vacation. It is VERY high on our list of best vacations. We would definitely go back. Thanks to David and Wanda for making us feel so welcome."
