  • Early December Stay

"This was our first time renting White Cottage on St. John. We have been renting villas for many years on the island along with semi annual stays at Caneel Bay. It really is a nice house in a great location very private and not too far from Cruz Bay. There are four large private masters all with King beds we invited 2 other couples for the week and had plenty of space. The kitchen has every thing you need to prepare meals and plenty of serving platters etc often missing on other properties. The house has a laundry with brand new top of the line washer dryer so no need to over pack your suitcase. The pool is small and in a bit of a precarious location between the main house and a up stairs bedroom suite. The management company Destination St. John in my opinion is the best on the island we expect top notch service and always receive it. From the pick up at the ferry dock to the gourmet lunch basket in the fridge they make sure every thing is perfect for your stay. White Cottage is an excellent choice for a property in this price range and we would consider returning."

  • Lovely nature retreat

"This was good value for money. Upstairs, in main bedroom, its is especially peaceful and comfortable. Downstairs living area a bit older. 2 balconies with ocean views. System with codes in stead of keys works well. The condo is in a safe, gated community, Marazul dive resort, so you can leave your windows open at night. I loved the area - totally away from it all, but its not for everyone. There is a nice swimmingpool or you can swim in the ocean, but there is no sandy beach. You go down about 25 stairs and get into the ocean with a step ladder - either to swim, snorkel, or dive. The water is turquoise crystal. There's lots of birdsong and lots of iguanas on the property. Playa Forti, a nice sandy beach, is within walking or swimming distance. To get anywhere else, a car is handy - dive operation is about 2-3 km from here. Other good beaches are Grote Knip and Kleine Knip, as well as the one at the dive operation. Shete Boka National park, about 10 min drive, has wonderful sea views, especially when its windy. The restaurants in the area are very average, but according to ratings on other sites, there aren't many better restaurants in the whole of Curacao. Sol's food, Trio Penotti and Ranco el Sobrino (walking distance) were OK. There is a bar with sunset views close by, overlooking Playa Forti, Blue view Sunset Terrace. Groceries are not easy to get. The store in Barber, about 15 min drive, is not good, especially for fresh produce. The best store for groceries is Centrum supermarket near the airport. I also noticed the manager at Marazul does shopping for a $15 fee."

  • Nice condo, we enjoyed our stay

"The property is clean and the view is fantastic. The marina area has several nice restaurants and we had a lot of fun golfing at PUnta Espada. Our only concern was the check in process. It is very confusing and we waited one hour before we could check in. I would advise you to make sure Denisse, the property manager is aware of your check in time so you do not have to wait so long to just check in."

  • Perfect location for total relaxation

"My husband and I spent a totally relaxing week at Blue Moon Cottage. We have previously stayed in town but loved being on the South End at Blue Moon. Close to Abaco Inn and SeaSpray which we visited at least once daily for dinner (mostly take out) or cocktails. We spent many nights listening to music on the covered porch just soaking in the sights and sounds as the sun went down and loving every minute. Although there are houses close by you still have the feel of being in your own little world. If you can't relax here - You can't relax anywhere. We had frequent visits from a hummingbird, resident cat Phantom as well as some Island dogs coming to check out what we were having for dinner. Having the private dock close by was key to our trip as we had rented a boat from Island Marine and didn't have to deal with worrying about a spot at a public dock."
