  • Stunning views

"The view at Emerald hill villa is stunning ! You get the sea and the bay it is simply breathtaking ! The pool is great! So peaceful and relaxing here! The bedrooms are air conditioned , I kept my door closed to keep out bugs. Main house is open air we had birds visit every day, I quite fell in love with one called Henry, he sat at my shoulder daily and I fed him . Alice the owner was an amazing lady, Albert drove us where we needed to go , Christine keeps the house tip top daily . My recommendations are, we loved to eat at Marsala, Pirates bay and doolittles. We didn't hire a car we walked down the steep hill every night ( 15 mins) tried back up one time and got a taxi back up the rest of the nights for $10 . We had a water taxi to Castries , I didn't enjoy and felt it a waste of time and money . At guest services we were given Charlie and we hired him from 10-3 as a private water taxi for $200, what an amazing day! Went to lots of beaches and snorkeled, loved sugar beach and chastanet, also the pitons and lunch in soufriess it was our best day here! We loved it! On our last day we hired a taxi $100 to go to reduit beach , another waste of money , ugly beach, long ride, and aggressive vendors who won't take no for an answer ! We turned around and left , we wish we had gonebback to one of the other beaches instead , kinda bummed about it really . All in all a great trip, the view will be missed !"

  • The perfect gem

"If heaven ever existed in the world it would be named Villa Ivrea. From the time of booking up to my trip Lisa was awesome and she was always prompt to answer any questions which made booking this Villa stress free. Once we arrived we were given our warm St. Lucian welcome by Mrs. Claudette. The views from this Villa are some of the most amazing views you will ever witness. I traveled with my family of 6 and we had plenty of space. The pictures do not even come close! The villa is fully equiped with everything you will ever need as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Bertha our house keeper was amazing and a superb cook. She made us some of the best curry goat, acki, and red snapper we have ever tasted. And her rum punch was out of this world. Victor was one of the coolest drivers ever! My family really enjoyed him. He was always on time and the ultimate St Lucian driver and guide. He took us to some really cool spots and he made our trip feel very personal and memorable. He provided us with the perfect St Lucian experience. Beware though because this Villa is so beautiful you will not want to leave. The views overlooking the veranda will leave you speechless. We spent lots of time by the infinity pool taking in all the beauty this villa offered. Centrally located between the Carribean and Atlantic you get the best of both worlds. Being able to see St. Martinique from the villla was an added bonus. We are already planning our next trip . Lisa, Claudette, Bertha and Victor thank you all for making my 40th birthday celebration awesome."

  • Great vacation place, fantastic owner/manager

"We spent a week Dec 25 - Jan 1st, 2017 in this property, traveling together with other two families who stayed in the house just next to ours (same owner). I wanted to praise Anne Noel for being such a wonderful and helpful host. We were arriving on December 25 when pretty much all stores were closed and Anne was so kind to offer us to buy some grocery for our first couple days - that was really helpful ! The rental company (Budget) did not provide us the car booked for this Christmas week 5 month in advance (our friends booked in SixT and also did not get it !), so we end up taking a taxi from the airport (US$80) - Anne also suggested local rental company where we got the car on a next day for a reasonable price (and then return it in the airport at the end - the company actually sent a driver to pick up the car in the airport on our last day without any extra charge!). Note, they drive on a left side of the road, with the steering wheel on the right side :), but we got used to it in couple days (maybe it was actually not bad that we had to take taxi on our arrival day - we had a chance to practice on closer range and simpler roads before taking longer trips over the mountains - it is 1.5 hours drive from the airport and you need to be quite experienced driver to drive safely on those mountain roads, especially if you are not used to drive on the left side !). The property is within a "gated community" behind the fence, you get a remote to open the gate to drive inside the perimeter, parking your car very conveniently right next to your unit's door. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the kitchen had everything we needed (well, except maybe a coffee grinder, but you can obviously buy the ground coffee), the unit also has great terrace (walkout from the kitchen) where you can enjoy your breakfast. One minor inconvenience was that two bedrooms were adjacent to each other, with a shutter door between them - not sound-proof at all, so keep this in mind if you travel with your wife/girlfriend and plan to bring your mother with you to sleep in the second bedroom - you not gonna get any privacy :). The WiFi was working just fine, fast enough to watch youtube videos. The closest beach (Pigeon Island Beach) is about 15 minutes walk or couple minutes drive. There are plenty other beaches and places on the island you definitely want to explore - they are all accessible, as long as you're Ok to drive these roads :)"

  • Perfect for honeymooners!

"This house was just breathtaking! I've looked at plenty of photos, and it looked exactly like the photos but even better! The house doesn't have A/C like it clearly says, but you won't need it! The fans and the natural breeze cools down the place a lot! My only complain was that there were A LOT of millipedes. I hate bugs of any sort, so my husband had to kill a bunch for me. No big deal, though. It was expected since we were in the great outdoors. The road to the house was rough, but it's so worth it. After spending a day at crowded Castries, it's nice to have a place to stay that is remote and quiet. Will definitely stay here again when we visit St. Lucia! Also, Lucy and Gibbs were so helpful. They definitely show that they care for you and want you to have an enjoyable time. 5 stars for service and 5 stars for an amazing house!"
