  • What an Amazing and truly Incredible vacation had at the Burke House

"My wife and I just returned from our first trip to Bequia. It won't be our last. Bequia is a beautiful Island. What made our vacation so wonderful though is the place we called home while we were there. We stayed on the southwest end of the small island in a secluded peaceful area called Moonhole. Its quiet and just a hop skip and a jump from the little villages around the Island. The House we stayed in is called the Burke House. Just an incredibly beautiful stone house built with an open air sort of setup. It has windows and doors that can be closed if it's storming out but you don't really need that option. Some light rain blew through a couple times so we shut the front door for a few minutes but opened it back up as soon as the clouds passed by. Lusan makes sure everything that needs to be taken care of for your vacation here is just right from Travel tips to getting you picked up and dropped off at your arrival and is always around if anything or any advice is needed either for the home or the Island in general. Marva comes with the house. LOL. Marva What a sweetheart Marva is. She is a fantastic cook and that smile on her face and laughter makes the time spent inside the house in anticipation of Marvas next meal a fun time. Marva is also a very helpful person with her knowledge of the area as she was raised just a mile or so away in the Village of Paget Farm. We usually prepared our own breakfast of eggs or whatever but Marva had the bread and cinnamon rolls and banana bread there for us. We did have Marva prepare our dinners though and had so many delicious meals of Lobster or Conch or Pork Chops, Chicken. Marva makes everything taste delicious. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to walk up the stone path and steps leading from the secluded Moonhole beach area up to the doorway of the Burke House. Come and go as you please as you can relax right there in any of the several hammocks or built in sofas or chairs with some of the most amazing views you will ever see from the large deck facing the South towards Mustique and other Grenadine Islands or the North Deck facing the Caribbean and St. Vincent just a dozen or so miles away. The views from every single room in the house are incredible. Right up to sitting on the toilet looking out to the hillside and sea. You could spend a lot of time right there and be just fine. Water is from the rain and is fine to drink and very soft. The shower gets hot also so no worries about that. Thanks Lusan"

  • The best of the best on Bequia!

"My wife and I are constantly on the lookout for a new and exciting Caribbean destination offering amazing accommodations, picture post card beaches, wonderful snorkeling opportunities and convenient island amenities. Tropical Hideaway was a winner in every way! Read the many glowing reviews. Take the time to read one of the most comprehensive web sites ever and you will also conclude that TH is a can't miss destination. Hosts Martin and Julie have thought of EVERYTHING in the design, construction and operation of this incredible villa with 5 accommodation options to choose from. We stayed in the Infinity Studio and were blown away by the quality and uniqueness of this spacious "room". From the bed to the bathroom, to the kitchen facilities and the amazing views, WOW will be the main word used to describe your initial impressions. Don't hesitate to make TH your next Caribbean getaway."

  • Outstanding Villa / Pride in Ownership

"This was a wonderful villa my wife and I enjoyed for 10 days the end of Feb into March 2017. We were only two but easy 6 adults could be very comfortable in this house. There is shade throughout the day with a wonderful breeze. We travel to a different Carribean island for the last 13 years and have rented villas for 7-14 days in each island. Baytree is among the best for view, design and privacy. Suzanne was very easy to work with from the very beginning, helpful with ferry schedule and very prompt with email reply. Once we arrived we were greeted and oriented with the villa. A welcome snack and a few basics items were provided to get us started. A preprogramed cell phone with restaurant contacts, and island numbers was handy. No problems at all with the villa. We did not see Suzanne until our last day when we said good-buy. Baytree is very well kept - clearly pride of ownership. Extremely comfortable furniture and bed. Top notch outside chairs, loungers, Frontgate matts for pool, etc. The landscape is absolutely beautiful - many different palms, ferns, flowers & trees. No doubt a passion of the owners. The staff was organized to all come on a day half way thru our trip - house keeper, pool and gardener. This was very nice as we enjoyed the privacy Baytree offers. Bequia is a challenge to get to but a wonderful island to visit. The roads are in good shape and easy to navigate. One day is all you need to know how to get to most places on Bequia. The prices at the market, stands in town, beach bars and restaurants were extremely reasonable compared to other islands where we have traveled. Take the time to get to Bequia and enjoy the people and intimacy of this small island. It is a very special place as is Baytree villa. Glenn & Debi New Jersey, USA"

  • Vacation of a lifetime

"We arrived on Saturday evening and we're met at the airport by the driver. He drove us back to the house and his wife followed with our rental vehicle. The house is over the moon amazing!! All the amenities. Wifi internet tv infinity pool with lights. Ceiling fans and tropical breezes. Each morning we made breakfast and sat outside. The views are to die for! One of our favorite parts is the outdoor shower off the master bedroom. We had a housekeeper come out every morning and cooked amazing meals. I requested cheese cake and she whipped one up. The island is majestic with white sandy beaches."
