  • Views of tranquility

"It was our first time visiting Turks and Caicos and this property is settled in a spot which allows you to enjoy the sun and beauty with out tripping over every tourist (Grace Bay) The property is not new and has all of the typical island issues water pressure down trees from storms, but what makes up for it are the properties outrageous views, morning or night, it is special and is extremely calming. Morning walks were an adventure with the local wild dogs but for the most part kept there distance and allowed you to enjoy your surroundings. The location is ideal, 2 very nice beaches 5 minute drive (our favorite was Sapodilla, Jet Ski rentals paddle boards etc.) a great restaurant located across the street from the beach (Las Brisas) Five Cay has an active water beach bar (Bugaloos) which allows you to have cocktails while standing in the water with table service. If you like to snorkel it is a must while you are visiting (rent mask and fins from Scooter Bob's) and go right around the corner to Smith's Reef, crazy good. I stayed in one of the smaller villa's (Agape) which was not what I thought I was renting which was my fault for not reading what was available! the property is adequate to sleep 4 people the bathroom is not, to small and very challenging for a week. if you are not in to sharing space with others it could be a different experience for you, I will say I did not see our neighbors much and the use of the pool becomes a little awkward because it is located right outside the sliders of Villa Thalassa which makes you feel like you are invading someone else's space. I would highly recommend this place for large parties looking to sleep 10 to 12 people so you can rent all 3 Villa's, renting a single villa on the property is nice but not private. All in all owner is easy to deal with Lucy is available and the Island is wonderful, and if you are not aware this is quite possible the most expensive island I have every visited. I would recommend shopping at Sonny's or Quality markets vs. IGA cost is much better. Best restaurants, Mango Reef, Via Veneto and Danny Bouys was a very good sports bar. If you are looking for an adventure head out to the Northwest side of the Island and visit Malcolm's Beach, it is a very rough ride to get there but it is well worth it!"

  • A Beautiful Home and View BUT

"We arrived Dec. 21, 2016 with our children and grandchildren for a week stay. There were 6 adults and 5 kids ages 10-16. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted it to be special and something we would all remember. Upon arrival, we were blown away with the beauty of the home and especially the landscaping and fabulous view of Chalk Sound. The home was very nicely furnished and had a beautiful pool. There was access to the water and 2 kayaks provided but access to the water wasn't easy but it was doable. There is no sand beach but the view made up for that. I would highly recommend this home with a few exceptions. 1. It was advertised as 5 bedrooms but should only be considered a 3 bedroom home unless changes are made. Two of the bedrooms in the basement were not liveable due to the odor. The girls used one room for a few nights but then couldn't handle it any longer. The other bedroom had no windows and should have been considered a large closet. These rooms lacked proper ventilation and as a result, our 5 kids ended up sleeping on a blow up mattress and the couches in the main living room. As it turned out they didn't mind that as they were all together but it didn't make for a very nice gathering area for the rest of us. 2. We had problems with the door locks in the basement. The doors closed and locked and we had no keys to reopen them and had to call for assistance. 3. Lighting in the kitchen was not working properly. Parts had been ordered to fix this but they didn't arrive before we took possession While these issues didn't spoil our vacation, it would have made for a much more convenient stay had they not existed. Again, I would say that this home is one of the most beautiful we've stayed at with a view more spectacular than we were expecting. Actually, the photos on the web site do not do this property justice. It's much more beautiful! I would also add that not being familiar with Turks and Caicos, we didn't realize the distance to get to the beaches. If you want beach front and easy access to the beaches and water activities you should consider that before staying on Chalk Sound. With 11 of us it did take more time and organization. Shanta the property manager was very helpful with information before we arrived and while we were there. I thank her for all of her assistance. Our vacation was a hoot and certainly one we'll never forget!"

  • Very Good property close to Grace Bay beach

"The property is very well equipped with everything you need to cook , relax and enjoy your stay . We had a small issue that was related to the AC that stops working for the last 3 days of our stay . Other than that we enjoy the patio , the living room and all the other facilities . Thanks Josy for your hospitality ."
