  • Another great trip to TCI

"This being our 5th or so (I lost count!) visit to TCI we have stayed at many places on the island including Beaches which I still rate as #1.....but expensive. Ocean Club West is a great location and this specific unit is perfect for return trips. It's close to everything, you get the facilities of the hotel at your disposal, the beach is the same, nothing else to ask for. Just be aware that this unit being on the third floor you will need to be able to get up and down the steps (without complaining, you are at TCI after all) but you do get a better view and can enjoy the balcony. The balcony is facing inland, it's on the main street. The traffic is not heavy and being higher up the noise never bothered us, the bedrooms are on the other side so it's not an issue. I enjoyed watching cars and tourists go by. Communication with owners and local manager is good, no reason to worry about anything. Would go back for sure."

  • I loved this rental!

"I opened the door of this unit and was instantly impressed by the decor, cleanliness, and beautiful views beyond two separate glass sliding doors. This immersed the unit with just the right sunlight and avoided the "boxed-in" feeling created by most hotel rooms and many other condo rentals. This was the first time staying on a ground floor unit, and I must say it enhanced our island getaway experience. Our family enjoyed being able to walk right out the back terrace, strolling steps to the pool and beach. The entire terrace and back of the wrap-around unit is lushly landscaped with pathway leading up to the unit. There is a sizable distance between the back terrace and pedestrian paths, which created privacy. Random thoughts: ~Family room was comfortable with a sizable Plasma T.V., featuring a myriad of international cable channels. ~Kitchen was generously stocked. Nice coordinating dinnerware. I especially was impressed with the extra garbage bags, liquid soap, and laundry detergent. ~ The master bed was comfortable and cozy. ~Everything in great working order. ~A bit of a learning curve to shower faucet for me (once you get it it's simple) ~The gym at OCW looks brand new and afforded a great work with newer equipment. ~Front door area very clean, overall very clean complex. ~We enjoyed lazy-river shaped pool. Unit offered water toys, snorkel mask, and floats ~Ocean Club West is perfect for R&R. Very tranquil and casual. No need to bring your vogue cover-ups to walk through a commercialized lobby. ~We ate most days and nights at OCW's Seaside Cafe which was 60 seconds away from our unit. We loved the food and breath-taking views of Grace Bay. Many awesome restaurants in walking distance that we'd gone to in the past, but we just got too comfortable at OCW to leave! ~Snorkeling trip was a hit with our family. We went with Caicos Tours, but several years back we toured with Island Vibes and had an equally great time. ~Owners great to deal with and rent from! They work with a management company on the island, which were in constant communication with us until our arrival, and made us feel they'd be available to address any issues. In conclusion, this rental undoubtedly helped create a memorable and relaxing trip at world famous Grace Bay. I usually get homesick by the 3rd night, but I felt at home in this unit. We would certainly rent this unit again! Thank you very much for sharing your unit!"

  • great location, quiet, super easy access to beach

"+ves - great if you want some peace & quiet (mostly) and avoid crowds at Grace Bay - beach is perfect for just getting out of bed and jumping straight into the ocean; really safe for kids - easy to get the sea kayaks in and out of the storage racks (some villas require you to lift them up and down steep stairs which is difficult) - beach cabana allows you to enjoy sea breeze without being out in the really hot midday sun - relaxed snorkeling around the rocks to left/right of property; plenty of fish to satisfy all - 15~20min drive to super markets and main shopping/restaurant area (Grace Bay) is not too far...we really liked Las Brisas (3min drive; good paella & rum cake + view), Garam Masala & Thai Orchid restaurants (20~30min drive) - occasionally spotted sea turtles coming up for air (once jet skis had disappeared) - Taylor Bay beach is short drive away...really safe for kids as the water is knee-deep for 100 yards out -ves - jet ski rental business operates around the point to the left; they can be noisy during the day - some of the wire screens covering the windows are broken so watch out for mosquitoes at night - there is some noise from cars/trucks driving along the road but not too bad"

  • great last minute getaway

"We just returned from Villa Tropidero a little over a week ago. We had a great time. Last year we stayed in North Caicos and loved the privacy but for a younger crowd, the solitude was a little too much. So this year, we decided to stay in Provo to be closer to the action, when and if we wanted. The balance was much to our liking; when we wanted to head out for the night to hit one of the night spots, it was within 10-15 minute drive. For cases where we wanted to stay close to home, the local watering hole was just down the street. The house was perfect for our needs, living space was more than comfortable, pool was great for the late afternoon to cool down, and the beach and crystal clear water checked all the boxes. At night, having dinner in the breezeway was just the right way to finish the day. For our stay, there were three couples so the bedrooms worked out great. Having morning coffee on the second floor balcony looking out over the ocean was the perfect to start to 7 straight days of 85+ degree weather. We surely enjoyed ourselves."
