  • Turks and Caicos Retreat

"We have just returned from a 10 day stay in Silly Creek Cottage and want to return immediately! This is our 4th visit to TCI, and our 1st staying on this side of the island. If you're looking for peace and seclusion this is the side we would highly recommend. The Grace Bay area is beautiful but has become a tad busy for us over the last 15 years. The cottage is perfect for 2 people; spacious and amazingly well equipped. We booked this holiday with intention of decompressing after a super busy business year and were not disappointed. Lazy days started with breakfast on one of the 2 decks, afternoons spent exploring deserted coves in the kayak, most evenings spent grilling dinner and watching the sunset. Heather, the owner, is delightful and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this cottage for the perfect get away."

  • Another great trip to TCI

"This being our 5th or so (I lost count!) visit to TCI we have stayed at many places on the island including Beaches which I still rate as #1.....but expensive. Ocean Club West is a great location and this specific unit is perfect for return trips. It's close to everything, you get the facilities of the hotel at your disposal, the beach is the same, nothing else to ask for. Just be aware that this unit being on the third floor you will need to be able to get up and down the steps (without complaining, you are at TCI after all) but you do get a better view and can enjoy the balcony. The balcony is facing inland, it's on the main street. The traffic is not heavy and being higher up the noise never bothered us, the bedrooms are on the other side so it's not an issue. I enjoyed watching cars and tourists go by. Communication with owners and local manager is good, no reason to worry about anything. Would go back for sure."

  • Loved the location

"Joe's condo is in a great location in Turtle Cove, a low-key area with easy access to everything on Providenciales. The condo itself is very clean and well-equipped, and as others have said it has everything you need for an easy/relaxing vacation. The Queen Angel is a bit older but is well-kept and the landscaping is beautifully done and lush. The condo development has mostly local residents vs tourists (you can tell by the lack of rental cars in the parking lot), so you'll occasionally hear a baby crying but otherwise it's very quiet and low key. We really wanted to avoid crowds of tourists so this was the ideal place for us. Within walking distance you have 2 good restaurants (Mango Reef, Tiki Hut), charter fishing and scuba outfitters and more. The Green Bean is the only place to go for coffee/breakfast, and frankly I would avoid it: dirty, bad/slow service and weak "Starbucks" coffee. We brought Sbux instant coffee with us from home and stocked up at the gourmet IGA so we could have breakfast on the condo's patio next to the pool. Much better! As other reviewers did, we rented a car from Scooter Bob across the street from the condo. The cars are pretty beaten up but they work, and when we encountered a problem they gave us a different car with no hassle and no questions asked. A car is an absolute necessity, and we really enjoyed exploring every corner of the island and checking out the different beaches and neighborhoods. Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would definitely stay at Joe's condo when we come back."

  • Great place to stay on Grace Bay!

"This was our 2nd visit to Turks & Caicos. The first time we stayed at the Regent Palms (now just the Palms) and this time we opted to take advantage of a condo style rental. Unit 501 at the Villa Renaissance was fantastic! Villa Renaissance is the perfect size community, not too big and not too small. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, the pool was the perfect size and everyone we encountered was pleasant, from the guest services to the other residents. The unit itself was clean, roomy and well equipped. It literally has everything you'll need for your stay, except for groceries if you want them. It was truly more than I expected. The patio was the perfect quiet nook for us to have breakfast or spend some quiet time responded to emails, etc... but really, you shouldn't be doing that on vacation anyway. :) The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots/pans, dishes, etc. There's any emergency cell phone with 10 prepaid minutes, plus a regular dial out phone... There's laundry detergent and the bathroom had plenty of lotion, shampoo, conditioner and soap. They supplied tennis racquets/balls and even bug spray. We would definitely stay here again."
