  • Nice Location

"My family of three kids (8,5, and 15 months), my husband and I, and my mother just spent a week at the villa! We do miss the island already. The home is lovely. The location is amazing and Taylor Bay is truly a sight to behold. The house had great amenities and everything you need for a nice stay. Beach chairs, cooler, and the home water cooler were wonderful to have! We appreciated the snacks and beer upon our arrival too! A few things that were a little less than "excellent" were the constant construction that was going on directly on the beachfront at Taylor Bay. From 7:30am until 6pm daily there was construction noise from the building of three beachfront villas. This wasn't a huge distraction as we are early risers in our family with the kids, but it did detract from my enjoyment some. It's hard to keep a tranquil paradise in mind when you hear pounding and sawing and tractors much of the day. Also, the path down to the beach was a bit treacherous. We were only able to use the kayaks the first day of our stay and it was difficult to wheel it down because the path next to the construction was very bumpy and they were digging a trench there to build a new wall between the adjacent home next to the construction. On more than one occasion we had to walk through the new construction homes to get to the beach because the digging of the trench got in our way. As a result of all this construction, we didn't find Taylor Bay to be as clean and pristine as previous trips. One day I brought a garbage back down from the villa and was able to fill the entire bag with trash that was blowing on the shore and into the bay. Very sad to see. While many reviews felt that there was no need for air conditioning because of the breezes, I'd have to disagree. Maybe we are a bit spoiled but it was hard for our kids to stay comfortable in the main level bedrooms when there was no breeze. After a day in the hot sun it was hard for them to rest in a hot bedroom. The provided fans did help some but overall the temperature in the main level bedrooms was a bit too hot to keep the baby comfortable. Other nights the wind was so strong that it was difficult to sleep because of the blowing with the windows open. I realize it is a tropical island and weather is unpredictable, but it is just a little gripe worth mentioning for those who really like to sleep cool. I really think this house is lovely though. Very tropical and beautiful."

  • Beautiful property, amazing unit

"We rented this unit through VRBO for the week of 10/1/16. The pictures and descriptions are real, that is exactly how the property and the condo looks, and the view of the ocean is amazing. The staff at Villa Renaissance are wonderful, Corell, Brikell, Tre & Steve were always friendly and helpful, best staff I've ever experienced in the Caribbean. Corell was super in helping us choose where to eat or help us with whatever we needed. Tre mixed up some tasty, but high octane, rum punches (try the Tre), Brikell was very sweet and handled our rental needs, and Steve greeted us with a wave and "good morning" every day. Great staff. The resort is perfectly located, walking distance to a number of restaurants, shopping and grocery (bikes are available for free, which we used for a fast trip to grocery store). Beach was as beautiful as the picture, this resort has a very quiet, laid back section of beach. And the condo was spectacular, we loved this place and are planning on going again next year. We stayed here with another couple and found this condo to be perfect for 4 adults, plenty of room."

"Excellent property in a beautiful site with attention to detail. Small well thought areas where we enjoyed star gazing with wine until early morning hours. Our view one thousand gorgeous paintings! Our host's response to any minor issues immediate! Thank you Basia!"

  • Coriander Cottage

"Turks & Caicos is awesome especially when you have a lovely cottage like Coriander in Turtle Cove to make your stay feel like home. The management group of Pamela and Terresa were very professional and friendly. TCI handled our accomadations and I must say they were wonderful and extremely informative. I would have rated it 5 Stars but there was construction on two adjacent properties that went on all day long for our entire trip. Fortunately we had a boom box which helped drown out the noise and we had a car to explore most days. We were so happy with TCI that we will be booking again for next year."
