  • great last minute getaway

"We just returned from Villa Tropidero a little over a week ago. We had a great time. Last year we stayed in North Caicos and loved the privacy but for a younger crowd, the solitude was a little too much. So this year, we decided to stay in Provo to be closer to the action, when and if we wanted. The balance was much to our liking; when we wanted to head out for the night to hit one of the night spots, it was within 10-15 minute drive. For cases where we wanted to stay close to home, the local watering hole was just down the street. The house was perfect for our needs, living space was more than comfortable, pool was great for the late afternoon to cool down, and the beach and crystal clear water checked all the boxes. At night, having dinner in the breezeway was just the right way to finish the day. For our stay, there were three couples so the bedrooms worked out great. Having morning coffee on the second floor balcony looking out over the ocean was the perfect to start to 7 straight days of 85+ degree weather. We surely enjoyed ourselves."

  • From Manitoba

"This was our first time to this beautiful island. This condo has such a great view of the turquoise ocean. The condo was immaculate; bedroom was quiet and we got excellent rest. We cooked most meals in the well-stocked kitchen and ate on the balcony. Somewhere Cafe was a super alternative for eating out and a daily afternoon cocktail at their casual beach restaurant .The weather was phenomenal for the 11 days we were there. It's a short taxi drive to grocery stores. We had loads of fun on our 1/2 day snorkel excursion with Caicos Dream Tours. In fact, everybody we dealt with on this island was genuinely friendly and upbeat. Their smiles are contagious."

  • Wonderful! Everything we expected and more!

"My family has traveled to Turks and Caicos four times and this experience was one of the best we've had. My husband and I brought our four girls, ages 15-21, and we had a great time. Vanessa's gorgeous villa accommodated us beautifully. It was spacious, clean, and very well stocked. We enjoyed cooking in a few nights, and breakfasts on the porch. There are many conveniences close by including shopping, the supermarket, and Coco Bistro which is one of the best restaurants on the island. The view of Grace Bay from this villa is truly "grand" especially from the master bedroom which is nicely located on the top floor. Vanessa was very available for helpful information before our trip and eager to make our experience the best it could be. I would highly recommend this property!"

  • Wonderful Stay for Two Kiteboarding Families

"My husband and I, our baby, and another family, with their 2 babies, recently stayed at the Ryder retreat in April 2016. This villa is very spacious - despite three crying babies, we could escape to the upstairs or downstairs for privacy and quiet. This villa is very well kept, clean, and modern. The caretaker Shawn was extremely friendly and helpful. One day we lost our car keys and he came to drive us to the rental car company to get another set. The fact that linens, bath towels and beach towels are all provided was very convenient. The villa had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay: the kitchen is fully equipped (pots, pans, coffee maker, blender - the only thing missing is a kettle!), there is ensuite laundry, several bathrooms for multiple guests, and the pool was lovely with recliners all around. We are fitness fanatics so the gym was an incredible bonus!! It is also fully equipped with several weight machines, free weights, etc. The only thing lacking is cardio equipment as the bike wasn't working, but that's not a big deal as we could go for an early morning run! We went to Turks for the kiteboarding on Long Bay Beach so we spent many days there. We were hoping that the villa would be a little bit closer (that would be the only fault I can find with this place) as it was a good 12 minute drive, whereas it would have been nice to have something walking distance. But the views from the villa are beautiful as it sits on top of a hill so we enjoyed watching the sunrises. Despite the heat, we managed to keep cool just by opening the doors and windows to let the breeze through. We only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms at nighttime and turned it off during the day when we went out. Lorri and Brian, the owners, were very responsive and accommodating. They allowed us to extend our stay at the last minute (when we realized the wind was picking up for kitesurfing!). We happily give an EXCELLENT recommendation if you are considering this villa for your stay in Turks!"
