  • Perfect location and beautiful place to stay!

"This was my second stay at Diasanadu and would recommend it to anyone! Perfect location with easy walking access to the beach and the great restaurants of Turtle Cove. The large deck had beautiful views of the marina and ocean, perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. Owners Barb and Martin were such great hosts that made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!"

  • Comforts of home, but in paradise!

"We enjoyed our 12 night stay at The Charming House immensely, and it was the ideal home base for our daily explorations. The house, like Salt Cay itself, is utterly serene and Charles is the ultimate invisible host. Perhaps because he lives there himself for part of the year, the house feels nothing like a rental. It's more like being invited to stay at someone's very special home whilst they are away. The kitchen is extremely well appointed. As we went in the off-season and were unsure of how many of the island's restaurants and grocery stores would be open, we brought quite a bit of food with us. You need next to nothing for clothing on Salt Cay, so we used quite a bit of the 50 lb luggage allowance per person for food. I am very glad we did, because fresh supplies are hard to come by on an island like this, and only one restaurant was open for business. We used Dickinson's grocery store for eggs, butter, milk (they understandably sell only shelf-stable milk), and some little goodies like peanut M&M's and Flav-O-Ice popsicles, but do not expect to find anything else fresh. As promised, there are two bikes available for use, but as we are a family of 4 (two adults, two teenagers) we fully expected to have to rent a golf cart to get to places like the North Beach. Fortunately, we found a couple of older bikes in the shed which my husband managed to resurrect. Other reviewers had warned about frequent flat tires due to the rocky paths and thorns from the bushes that grow all over the island, so we tried to be mindful not to stray far from the main roads, and the bikes held up quite well. Keens or Tevas are the ideal footwear for exploring the island - in and out of the water - especially for places like the South Creek. Debbie, who manages the house and owns/runs the Dive Shop and Island Bistro, was invaluable, and Richard was a wonderful dive instructor for first time divers like us. Everyone that we encountered on the island was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. That said, Salt Cay is for explorers, adventurous spirits, nature lovers, and people who are willing to work a bit to uncover the island's treasures. Snorkeling, diving, beach combing, swimming, birds, donkeys, crystal clear waters, and STARS! If this is you, Salt Cay will blow your mind. It is not a good choice for anyone who needs the kind of holiday where everything comes to you and everything is easy. Stick to Provo for that."

  • Loved the location

"Joe's condo is in a great location in Turtle Cove, a low-key area with easy access to everything on Providenciales. The condo itself is very clean and well-equipped, and as others have said it has everything you need for an easy/relaxing vacation. The Queen Angel is a bit older but is well-kept and the landscaping is beautifully done and lush. The condo development has mostly local residents vs tourists (you can tell by the lack of rental cars in the parking lot), so you'll occasionally hear a baby crying but otherwise it's very quiet and low key. We really wanted to avoid crowds of tourists so this was the ideal place for us. Within walking distance you have 2 good restaurants (Mango Reef, Tiki Hut), charter fishing and scuba outfitters and more. The Green Bean is the only place to go for coffee/breakfast, and frankly I would avoid it: dirty, bad/slow service and weak "Starbucks" coffee. We brought Sbux instant coffee with us from home and stocked up at the gourmet IGA so we could have breakfast on the condo's patio next to the pool. Much better! As other reviewers did, we rented a car from Scooter Bob across the street from the condo. The cars are pretty beaten up but they work, and when we encountered a problem they gave us a different car with no hassle and no questions asked. A car is an absolute necessity, and we really enjoyed exploring every corner of the island and checking out the different beaches and neighborhoods. Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would definitely stay at Joe's condo when we come back."

  • A vacation home beyond our wildest dreams!

"This villa was fabulous! The pictures on VRBO were beautiful, but the reality of actually being there was so much more. We loved it from the minute we pulled into the driveway. Julian was there to greet us and show us through the house. He had a map of the island and was very helpful in pointing out where things such as grocery stores, restaurants and other points of interest were located. The Turks Head beer, fruit and snacks were very much appreciated as we had not had a chance to eat lunch yet. We enjoyed Taylor Bay and soaking up the sun, however, some of us got a little too much sun the first two days, so most of our time the rest of the week was spent on the veranda and around the pool....so beautiful and relaxing! Denish, Julian, Faye of the management group checked on us every day to be sure we were not having any problems. We had 8 adults in our group and we never felt crowded or got in each other's way. Our meeting place in the morning was the screened in porch or the veranda for coffee. The kitchen was fantastic to work in! Loved the window overlooking the deck and pool! We ate at Las Brisas twice (because it was close to the house) and the food was excellent and prices not bad. We also enjoyed brunch at Bay Bristro on Sunday. We celebrated my birthday at Coco Bistro which was fantastic from drinks to dessert! My husband said it was the best meal he has ever had! We also enjoyed the local fish fry....fried grouper and grilled lobster, frozen drink in a pineapple....yummy! I love this island and the people and if I have the opportunity to return, it will be to Etoile de Mer. Thank you, Margaret, for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful villa."
