  • Quiet and relaxing

"Had a wonderful time at the east end. First time on the island and was quite impressed by its beauty and friendly feeling. I was traveling alone and always felt safe at the condo. Life's simple pleasures, beaches, warm turquoise blue water, good food and drink and new people to strike up a conversation with. Knowing I had a place to call home instead of a crowded resort or hotel was a pleasure in itself. Thank you Laura."

  • March getaway

"We stayed in the Westgate condo for the month of March 2016. We loved everything about the condo and also the island of St Croix. The condo was more than adequately supplied with everything you would need in the kitchen. Being on the ground floor we had easy access to the water. Just had to open the gate and walk about 30 ft and you could be in the water. The breeze blowing through the condo was terrific. We did not have to use the air conditioner once. It was wonderful to go to sleep hearing the waves crash all night long along with the amazing breeze. We loved this condo so much we are planning on returning next year. We have traveled to many different islands and St Croix is one of our favorites along with Hawaii which is a much further distance. The island of St Croix is a wonderful place to have a nice quiet, relaxing vacation which is what we look for when we vacation. If you want a laid back place to visit, St Croix is the island to choose. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. The only thing that takes a little getting used to is driving on the opposite side of the road. If you don't rent a car there are a couple of supermarkets within a half to three quarter mile away."

  • Perfect place to stay!

"Thanks Cynthia for a wonderful place for us to stay! Everything was perfect.... the decor, the location, the comfort of home. There is a nice beach for swimming a couple minutes of a walk. Very close to everything the island has to offer. The snorkeling equipment the hostess provided sure came in handy. Right at the complex we were able to snorkel and see wonderful sights, even better was the pier within a 10 of minute drive. Thanks again for providing a "multi-generational" group to have a blast!"

  • Welcome Home

""Welcome home" is the first sign that greets you as you arrive at Cane Bay Campground. You're also likely to hear those words from the campground managers/hosts, Colleen and Ryan--both amazing people!! And it won't take you long to feel like you ARE home. The campground is a truly wonderful place. You're nestled in the rain forest. Nature's symphony in the background. Plenty of privacy (that you won't get at a resort) in and around your cabin. The cabins and private bath are super clean. The amenities, while simple, are all you need. Life slows down. You're 'limin'. Hosts: Super friendly (as are their 3 dogs), genuine people. There when you need 'em, gone when you don't. Location: Rain forest. Beach steps away. Off the Wall is a super welcoming little bar a short walk away. Great place to watch the sunset. Try Colleen's dinner special on Friday's--best food we had our whole trip. Short drive to Christansted and Fredriksted (rent a car for some of your trip--but not all). Cost: Can't be beat. Bottom line: The campground is great. The hosts are better. Book it. You'll be happy you did."
