"This was another wonderful vacation here at Villa Leja! 9 full days of sunny beaches, exploring and wonderful night outs! This is the perfect stay if you want solitude or excitement. Villa Leja is centrally located to Cane Bay, Kramer Beach and the west end beaches and they are just the perfect ! The weather couldn't have been better, lots of sun makes for a perfect day out. Villa Leja is all you need, with it's ocean and Buck Island views. We enjoyed the pool, outside shower and the rear deck takes your breath away! We will be back again."

  • Dream Home Vacation

"We stayed 7 nights at the Miramar but that was not enough time. This was a business/vacation trip for us. The house was exquisite! From the moment we walked in we were delighted! It is as gorgeous in person as the pictures online. It was spacious and elegant. The outdoor living area was excellent, with the infinity pool, it had a beautiful view overlooking Buck Island. The grill outdoors was convenient and the gourmet kitchen was very spacious. If you didn't want to be outside then you could sit at the room length bar that looks out through the windows to the same beautiful view. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. If you needed to do laundry or get in a workout in the exercise room, it is all right there. It is truly a magnificent home that was comfortable to live in. Jamie Lammering is such a sweetheart! Professional in every way and with her personal attentiveness to every detail. From our first inquiry to our last day checking out, she handled everything for us with ease. She recommended Warren at Native Son Taxi. His service was impeccable! I highly suggest leaving the driving to someone else here on St. Croix. We took a 1/2 day snorkeling adventure with the Jolly Roger. It was so relaxed and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed sailing with them. We can't wait to come back and visit again next year. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer this time. Until next time! The Mackie's"

  • Great house, excellent location, your own resort

"My wife and I along with 3 other couples stayed 5 nights in this house during the 3rd week of Oct. The house is very spacious and spread out. The photos of the interior are accurate. It was very clean and you can tell it's been well taken care of. The photos of the outside don't do it justice, it's truly amazing. The deck views are awesome w/ Buck Island in the background. The pool and pool area are large so your entire party can hang out. Plenty of seating for all. We spent the majority of our time down on the beach. It's a very spacious and private. The owners supply water shoes, floats, coolers, snorkel equipment, kayaks, beach towels, etc. Another thing we loved was the covered bar on the beach. It all lights up at night. We had dinner and drinks there multiple nights. The caretaker Matt, who lives on the property, was great, we saw him daily and he answered all the questions we had. The house is a ten. The one and only recommendation I do have would be a fan or fans in the main living room as well as the outdoor sitting area directly when you walk out dinning room doors. Within walking distance (3 minutes) are Ziggy's and Castaways. Ziggys is a convenience store with a grill. Great breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Castaways is an outdoor bar/restaurant. It doesn't look like much but the food and atmosphere are great. They do take out and deliver. We actually ate there 3 nights! Christiansted is a great little town on the water, its about a 15 - 20 minute car ride. Shupes, Rum Runners, and Angry Nates are some good places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. If you want to snorkel go with Big Beards. We took a trip to Buck Island with them, everyone in the group had a blast. We also had an awesome fishing trip with Hook & Sun charters. I have to give credit to Tami for recommending Sandy Point. It's a good haul from the house (prob 45 minute ride) but totally worth it. One if the most beautiful beaches I've seen. St Croix as a whole is easy to navigate around, the roads are rough but that was expected. We all felt safe and comfortable at all times. Like anywhere just be smart and use good judgement. In regards to cell phones AT&T worked well everywhere. Verizon worked in the towns but was useless elsewhere. The house has wireless which was great. We're already talking about a return trip to St. Croix and this house, you can't go wrong!!"

  • Outstanding in every way!

"Our family of five stayed eight glorious nights at Mermaid Cove. Our family has stayed at several Homeaway rentals throughout the years. This rental is one of the top rentals that we have had the pleasure of staying at. The amenities are top notch. The kitchen is simply beautiful and is one of the largest kitchens I have ever seen. Every utensil you could ever want. Double sinks, double ovens, granite countertops, barstools, coffee maker, double dishwashers, a blender for margaritas, etc.. The view of Buck Island is second to none. Every morning we would wake up, enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and take in the surrounding views of crystal clear blue waters. We would watch sailboats every morning sail by in cobalt blue waters. The living room has a flat screen 60" television with surround sound, DVD, and Dish TV. The living rooms large sectional couch had plenty of room for our family of five. We spent most our evenings there just enjoying time with one another or watching a movie. There is air conditioning in every room and each adequately cooled us comfortably. The washer and dryer are newer upscale appliances. They are a life saver after a day at the beach and are located in an exclusive laundry room. The thing that sets this rental apart from other Homeaway rentals is that it's very clear the owner has spent considerable time covering every amenity a guest could ever want or desire. I was very impressed with how much thought was put into every room. Oh, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the two cats that would come to visit us on nine year old has missed them dearly. They are the sweetest! Restaurants are nearby. We really enjoyed Cheeseburger in Paradise and Blue Water Terrace. Both are nearby and the food was excellent. Some of the best snorkeling and beaches are nearby. Shoy's beach is no more than a 5 minute drive. Issac's bay was excellent for snorkeling and nearby also (a bit of a hike for the adventurous). If visiting St. Croix don't forget the beer drinking pigs...that was amazing. Lastly, we really enjoyed our time at Rhythms @ Rainbow Beach. Here you can jet ski, paddle board, play sand volleyball, snorkel, or just relax and sunbathe with a pina colada from Rhythms restaurant nearby. Probably the best part of our St. Croix vacation was being able to come back to Mermaid Cove at the end of every day. We couldn't have asked for a better home for our vacation. Thank you Melissa."
